Is there a limit on the distance between the ISY 994i Pro and the PLM? I know it is a normal Cat5 cable between them but is there a known distance between them that you would recomend not to excede?

The shorter the better. That is a Serial Port connection, rather than an Ethernet port connection. 50' is considered the max for a Serial interface but something on the order of 3-4' is the normal arrangement.

I have run 25' with no problems. I don't think I'd want to push it any further than that though. My Current install is 1.5'
