Here's a solution if you get any of these symptoms: Starting Admin Console, you get a message "Starting Subscription..." which does not go away In eisy-ui, you get no status In UD Mobile, you get no status If you get any of these symptons, please start the admin console and "Upgrade packages" Explanation: In some cases, your unit may be having a bad certificate that eisy-ui uses to connect internally. If so, you can't get any subscription. Upgrade package will bring eisy-ui to version 0.6.3 which will detect the bad certicate and have it recreated.

eisy-ui is now officially released. This is still beta software, but it is now included when you "Upgrade packages". eisy-ui is a service that runs on your eisy that provides our next-gen web interface. To launch eisy-ui, point your browser to http://eisy.local and login using your portal username and password. Please note that once eisy-ui is installed, the admin console may need your portal username and password. In IoX finder, a URL with no port will require you to login using your portal username/password. If you see a url with port 8080/8443, this will require your IoX username/password. I upgraded my ISY994ir to an eisy several weeks ago, and after some minor problems, I finally got my Insteon devices and programs reinstalled, along with my Alexa "spokens." For the past several weeks, everything worked as it had before the upgrade without any glitches.. Yesterday evening, many, if not all, of my lights were randomly switching on with no command, either by voice or through a program. The lights were switching on in the middle of the night without explanation. I rebooted the eisy (power off and on), and that did not change the behavior. What should I look at to see what might be triggering this unwanted activity? I have just upgraded my subscriptions…

So I added a node to the interface. Just the header and an on/off switch. All of a sudden the node associated started turning on and off and on and off repeatedly. I went in to admin console and could see it toggling on/off etc but there was no program running that could account for it. I couldn't stop it - had to reboot

I just performed the upgrade to the new UI. Quite slick - I like it. I'm trying to add a node that is a scene, though, and they don't show up in my nodes. Is there a setting somewhere to make those show? Turning on/off a device without affecting the scene throws my switches out of sync. Thanks

I installed the current updates, 14.3 and the associated eisy-ui. Now, how do I add a tile that controls a program? I see how to add a tile for a node, but most of my interaction with eisy is to kick off some program controlling multiple nodes/lights. When at home page, adding a tile will only allow me to add a node, not a program. When I click on Home:Programs, I see them but I can only run it now or one of the other 4/5 options that were available in the old AC. I thought eisy-ui was a replacement for the old java based tool? Thanks, Dave

I'm preparing to upgrade my eisy to 6.0 / eisy-ui in the near future. I've been following others progress from afar. I think the disk space issue and using the df command were related to policy. I sifted through some of the threads but not 100% sure and want to be sure before proceeding. My command line days are getting more behind me and have no time logged on FreeBSD. I was able to ssh in and run df. Here are the results. I should not run into space issues?

I carefully followed the instructions for uprading my eisy to OS 14.3/IoX6 - everything seemed to go smoothly and fairly quickly: The time between when UD Mobile notified me "upgrade in progress" to "PG3 is starting" was only 14 minutes. After the upgrade I can log into the AC with IoX Launcher, either via IoX or Portal, and it does show IoX 6.0.0. Commands via the AC and Alexa, work; node servers are connected (notifications from UD Mobile) and are showing current data. However, I can't open either PG3x or eisy.local: Safari reports "Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server"eisy.local" I did reboot eisy after the upgrade and cleared the browser cach…

Hi @bmercier, two questions. When Michel mentioned that eisyui is now the default interface, I took that to mean no more Launcher. But I seemed to have been mistaken. I don't see a way to edit programs in eisyui.? When I used launcher (after clearing java and redownloading launcher) I noticed the user/password popup was different. I expected to have to use my email associated with the portal but it appears to be still admin for user. Which is fine by me, its quicker to enter than my email address for sure. Is there a prefered http:// to select in launcher? Updates went great, no issues. Thank you! -Tim

I just did the upgrade and was poking around the eisy-ui interface and alL the devices are present but not information is loading about them (like status). The controls do work (on/off) but no data is showing for any devices. any ideas? I’ve done the reboot (few time) and validated that statuses are showing on mobile UD as well as jnlp thick client.

Is it possible to install eisy-ui on an NVME SSD while maintaining the Home Assistant VM I created on the NVME SSD? I was going to migrate IoX to the NVME SSD in early 2024, but users were having issues with implementing the scripts to move the OS, so I never took action. Now I remembered about this, and am wondering if the scripts are now built into the latest version of IoX or in eisy-ui? I am looking for the most stable path to upgrade to eisy-ui, because everything is working now, but would not mind the extra performance from moving the OS to the NVME SSD. Thank you. Mark

Hey Guys. Perhaps I'm old, or just set in my ways. I don't like "dark" interfaces. I don't like trying to peer at gray text on a black background. I need contrast. I like black text on a white background. Heck, I'll even take black text on a light blue background. But the less-than-white on a black background has me moving my head around to try and avoid the screen glare, just so I can read my screen. Please let me have a black on white interface.

I recently updated to OS 14.3 and IoX 6.0.0, am just starting to do some testing, and am seeing some odd behaviors when looking at the configured values that show up for Insteon devices. While the data that appears in the java-based Admin Console seems fully populated and correct (meaning, as configured), the data doesn't always seem to populate in the eisy-ui interface either fully or correctly. Additionally, some of the values that populate are well beyond the expected ranges. For example, here are screenshots of data for one of my Insteon I3 paddle switches. In the java-based admin console, the On value is configured as 100% and the On Level is configured as 100%…

Does polisy get the new UI? I didn't see any mention of that in the Product Release.

A few things: 1. Nice overhaul. I'm liking the UI so far. 2. Whenever I try to use the search bar on the nodes page, I get this: 3. The nodes list will re-expand itself almost on a timer. Let's say that I'm collapsing the nodes to make it easier to find something further down. Maybe I click on something within a node to check it out after a few collapses. Sooner or later (usually withing 15 or 20 seconds) all of the nodes re-expand.

Lost an hour trying to debug this on the Virtual plugin ; until I asked myself if the AC did this.... @bmercier, the precision on display seems to be different between the entry number and the actual in Current versus Set Current: for some reason Set Current in the Eisy-ui is one tenth. Whats interesting, is the number you enter goes in properly but then shows as one tenth down below: correct in AC: Not in eisy-ui:

In the event you didn't receive UDI's email notice ---------------------------- A New Era Begins: eisy-ui Is Here! September 19, 2025 With OS 14.3 and IoX 6.0.0, we’re taking the first step toward a modern web-based interface. eisy-ui now starts by default. It’s not yet a full replacement for the Java Admin Console, but it already has the essentials, and your feedback will guide its evolution. For a limited time, upgrade from a 994 and get 13% off everything. Here's the link to the full article: A New Era Begins: eisy-ui Is Here! - Universal Devices - News

So I did an update and reboot of my ISY, which I do incredibly rarely. A real testament to the stability of the system. Anyway, while testing my plugin I saw a few more items in my easy-ui menu, so I checked out the version number. For those that don't know: pkg info easyui will give you a nice update of whats new all the way back in the versions. Currently 0.6.0 has <truncated to last version>: elease notes for 0.6.0 - Programs page - Variables pages - Keyboard navigation in lists - Nodes page default sort by name - Added Sign up link on login page - Several Bug fixes First, thanks @bmercier thanks so much for my keyboard navi…

I've noticed my Alexa stopped working and when I've check portal - it's disconnected. UI itself says "Error: Network Error". I could live with UI issues but losing Alexa functionality is very annoying. Tried restarting isy service but that did not fix it. Everything else seems to be working fine - AC, Polyglot. Anything I should try and/or check before I reboot eisy?

I did the upgrade packages. It says I am on 5.9.1 at this point. I forget what I was on before. This is a new eisy, only had it less than 2 weeks. It says it did an upgrade and it required a reboot (which I did). Now I try to go to http://eisy.local/ and it says "site can't be reached". I tried putting in the local ip address of eisy and it is also a dead end.

Thought I'd start a topic under eisy-ui for beta minor observations, @bmercier please take in the spirit of constructive feedback, as well know that each of these items will have a different priority to you versus me. Maybe others who are helping test can add their observations here. - noticing if I leave the eisy-ui web page up overnight it stops updating ; even if I do a refresh of the page it does not update with no real indication of "heartbeat"; takes a logout/login. Was wondering what the timeout period was? Is there a way to do a heartbeat? - have been noticing differences between the status on the column view versus the detail view. A refresh does no…

So this is the second night and offline. Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if you are offline nothing works - seems like the Insteon Parent Company we all freaked out about a year or two ago on. How about some BCP / Redundant systems? After hour monitoring of systems? Notice?
