I'm trying to use the REST API to set a scene to 50% light, using the following call: http://isy994i/rest/nodes/5189/cmd/DON/128 But it always ends up going 100% instead. If I execute the same call using the device ID instead, it works as expected. But even the ISY SDK says (on page 64) /rest/nodes/<node-id>/cmd/<command_name>/<param1>/<param2>/.../<param5> eg: /rest/nodes/<node-id>/cmd/DOF - turn off a device or a scene Insteon - /rest/nodes/<node-id>/cmd/DON/128 - turn on a scene to 50% UPB - /rest/nodes/<node-id>/cmd/DON/50 - turn on a scene to 50% I'm using ISY version 4.2.30

Seems like I am always forgetting to turn on the alarm at night for some reason so I put a simple timeframe program to have the Elk Speaker "remind me" the alarm is disarmed. However if I have friends over past the timeframe its annoying to hear it tell me every 30 mins its not armed. Then I get harassed that about my "automated house". I tried the below program but its wrong. Can someone look at it and help me fix it? Do I need two programs, or variables? One for the "timer" and one for the "reminder"? Basically all I want is if the motion detectors on my Elk in certain rooms have been "violated" (aka motion sensed) starting at 11pm then don't "remind me" but set mot…

I'd like to use a Fast Off command as a way to enable a secondary scene to turn off multiple lights where there is a multi-button keypad across the room. I created a program that turns off all the scenes when you double tap off, and it does work. But the lights connected to that scene go down instantly (because of the double tap) while the rest of the lights in the scene fade down normally. Is there a way to program around the fast off command and make the lights that are connected to switch fade down, effectively turning the fast off into remote command only. Thanks.

I am using 'Notify' in my irrigation programs and it seems to be intermittent. The Cell phone and email options work when using the test button in the Configuration->Settings/Groups tab. Is there any magic that I need to know? Lp

I bought a TouchLinc a few years ago just as it was going out of production. I never got it to operate properly and it was also about the time I switched from Houselinc to ISY. So I put it back in the box and forgot about it. Is there anything I can do with it now with ISY?

I'm about to pull the trigger and get a bunch of parts for my home. First time trying this out. I'm on the fence for the controller, obviously the ISY994i but the plain, the zigbee or the zwave. I have a handful of MCT320SMA door sensors I could use, but looks like the ISY zigbee controller can't use them. I don't have any zwave items at the moment, so I could wait until a zwave plus module becomes available unless there is a benefit of the sensors over insteon. My main question then would be comparing the door sensors and motion sensors insteon vs zwave is there an advantage of one over the other? I woke up this morning to find that the memory light was flashing on my ISY. Everything else was off but the power light, which was on. I am not able to log into or communicate with the ISY. I tried power cycling my router, the ISY and The PLM, but nothing changed. I've confirmed that other devices in my network are working, and I can access them remotely. Any ideas?

In this case its to Smart Energy Groups (SEG) which allows the public to use the great site and push their various data to this cloud hosted service. I've noticed my alarm siren horn clicks randomly all the time. I've narrowed it down to the "bursts" of information being communicated between the ISY and my devices. Is there a filter that I can install on my alarm that will filter out these? Thanks

ISY 994i Pro v4.2.30 Have had an issue for about a year with my ISY locking up on occasion. Only happens about once a week or so but seems to be happening more frequently, thus my concern. Only pattern I can notice is it seems to happen just as I'm entering a control interface. For example, I observe the ISY is working (based on lighting changes in the house or something), then I access either the web interface (as user or admin), the Java interface, or use my MobileLinc. Replaced a garage door opener (old school, with momentary button on the wall). New Chamberlain unit has a "smart" wall switch with motion sensor and programming buttons. Still just 2 wires going to motor unit, but shorting the wires will not open or close the door. Obviously there is some kind of a data bus on these 2 wires but I really don't want to mount these huge buttons (4 of them) on the wall where I don't really have space. Don't care about motion sense and light buttons etc.. Just want to open and close with the "old" buttons. Anybody know a way to do this? I just added a 2477D dimmer to the kitchen to control LED lighting. When I try to activate via my laptop, I am getting the message "Cannot Communicate with Kitchen (31 56 44 1) please check connections. The serial number is correct. I have have several X10 switches around the house, but recently got the UD ISY 994i and a few Switchlincs. I've only installed one of the 2477S switches to test. It's installed to is a single, incandescent ceiling light, and works fine. It's the remote operation of it that fails... I seem to be having communications issues. I've updated Java, etc. per the Quick Start I found online, but the Finder never picks up the ISY; I have to add it manually using its IP. The PLM shows all good in the diagnostics. From the ISY994i, I can occasionally link to and turn on the Switchlinc, but can never turn it off, due to a communication error. More times than not, though,…

Hi everyone, I just put a new fan in our guest bedroom which was a nice one has all the wires shown needed for fanlinc etc so was thinking of picking one up now as I have a spare KPL wihch would be handy to control it. Was just wondering though, what happens with the pull chain which typically is used to turn the fan on, medium, low, off etc? If the KPL is used to put it on medium for example, can someone then go and pull the chain and turn it off, and is the ISY able to know it's now off and update the KPL accordingly? Or should I be removing the pull chains so people can't do that? They are just really nice looking ones and I'd have to almost disable them vs remove…

I have a 2635-222 module as a responder in a scene. The controller is a 2477S switch about 15' away. When I turn on the scene, the 2635 does not turn on. The 2477S flashes red, presumably to indicate it can not contact the 2635? However, if I hit "on" a second time right away on the 2477S, it turns on the 2635 instantly, every time. If it really was a communication issue, why does it work every time just hitting ON a second time? Does the 2477S use a different way of communicating with the second ON hit? Thanks!

My Powerlinc 2413S is failing which appears to be quite common. I ordered a new one. Can I simply plug the new one in when it gets here and update my ISY994i system with the new device address? Is there anything else special to do? Thanks.

How can I access an old ISY26 that was installed in 2007? This home has about 60 Insteon switches and plug-in modules and has been working great. The customer has sold his home and would like to disable the personalized programming. Is there a version of the Admin program that will still talk to the ISY26? Also, Can I upgrade the ISY26 to an ISY994i without loosing the link to all of the already installed modules?
