Hi, is it possible to evaluate a response that has been received from a network response when using the network module ? For instance, can I do a GET to a webpage, if the response is 200 then I want to do X (for instance through an IF in a program), otherwise I want to do something else. Thanks Stephan

This program worked great for a couple weeks. Now it turns the back lights on accurately but doesn't turn them off after 5 minutes. If Elk Zone 'Back Door' is Violated And From Sunset To Sunrise (next day) Then Set Scene 'Back Lights' Fast On Wait 5 minutes Set Scene 'Back Lights' Fast Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I can manually turn the scene on and off easily so I don't think it's a communication issue. I was going to add an insteon dimmer switch to a light sconce and ran into this situation. It appears the hot wire coming from the panel comes into the sconce box (shown in pic) instead of the switch box. In the attached photo, the bare black wire is hot. The bare neutral wire was attached to the hot wire and brought the power to the switch. I believe the black capped wire is the load wire coming from the switch. There are only 3 wires coming into the switch box; the white (hot) wire, the black (load), and the ground. The round box for the sconce is very shallow and I'm not sure I could fit an inline linc switch without some modification.

I lost the ability for Mobilinc Pro on my iphone to communicate with my ISY-99i a couple of months ago.I finally have time to try to address it. When I go in devices on mobilinc pro, I get a blank screen. I attempt to sync and the app eventually times out. today I upgraded my ISY-99i from 3.2.5 to 3.3.3 to see if that would help but it didn't. I haven't changed any of the settings either on the ISY-99i or Mobilinc pro. Mobilinc is unable to sync even when home connected to my network. Any ideas of what I can try?

Hi, I have a set of lights in my shop that I control with an "InLine Link Relay", shop is about 130 ft from my house. I have an 8 button dimmer keypad in my house and a 6 button dimmer keypad in the shop. I also have a sensor on my shop overhead door to sense if it is open or closed. The lights are programmed to come on when overhead door opens and go off when the overhead door closes. This works fine. In the house on the 8 button keypad, I have a button on the keypad that is programmed to turn shop lights on when button is pressed on, and turn shop lights off when button is pressed off. Hi, I wanted to use the Dashboard d to install a wildcard certificate on my ISY. I cannot however load the dashboard as when I do the progress bar stops at 16% with the status "Applying Node Structures to UI". I am running 3.3.1 and have downloaded the correct dashboard.jnlp. I have also tried using openssl to convert my certificate to pfx format and then using Help -> Request/Manage SSL certificates and then SSL Certificate Management -> Install SSL Certificate. When I tried to use the long filename it told me it has to be UD.DCF. So I renamed my pfx to that and tried it again. It said it was successful and rebooted the Isy, but I could no longer con…

Hello: I recently ordered by isy99 and need to know how to send a signal to our front gate 300ft away to control insteon led lightbulbs. I have a cat 5 down there and I am using the smarthome smartlinc which I believe is not compatible with isy99. I think I need a PLM, but don't know if that distance is a problem. any suggestions? thanks again..!!

Hi, I have a program: If Status 'Office: Front Door - Opened' is On Then Send Notification to 'Default' content 'Office Front Door' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I would like to add something so that if the door is left open for 10 minutes it will send a repeat notification until the door is closed.. I also want to add that if the door is left open for 30 minutes, I get a text (different than my default email) every 30 minutes until the door is closed. Thanks, Rich

I have two motion sensors, and they are set up to send my cell a text message if they detect motion between certain programmed hours. This works great, but as you can imagine, there are days where I need to be home and such, and the texts get annoying very very quickly. I'm curious as to how others have solved this. I obviously don't want a physical control sitting around that you can press a button and set a flag on the ISY to disable the motion program. I can create a program in the ISY that I trigger from MobileLync. But then I need to remember to reset it for the next day. Any suggestions?

I recently replaced my Venstar thermostat 2441V adapter. The replacement was sent to me by SmartHome due to the recall that caused the thermostat to sporatically set itself at a random temperature. Now the replacement adapter (v.95) does not work properly with the isy99. The isy seems to only be able to get the status of the tstat and cannot change its settings. Anyone else have this issue? I've updated the isy99 firmware to the latest beta, but it doesnt help.

I have my keyfob button to toggle the state of a scene. If it is off it will turn it on, sometimes takes a few tries. I cannot get it to turn off the scene. It will flash off a second then flash on again. I tried different scenes with the same results.

Searched but couldn't find anything. Is there a way to use ISY to permanently turn off the LED's on the Fanlinc unit itself? If not, does anyone know how to do this using another method? Thank you.

Hi- I'm new to programming, so I hope that you'll excuse me if this has been asked and answered before. I did search around a bit before posting, but I can't seem to find the answer to my question. I'm trying to set up a program that only runs during a specific time of day. During that time, if someone turns a light switch on, I would like the system to send me an e-mail. I wrote the program below, and it does work. I get e-mails when a switch is turned on. The only problem is that I get the e-mails outside of the time frame that I'm interested in. I hope to be buying an ISY99i controller for a whole assortment of plugins, switches, thermostats and sensors very soon. This whole idea came about after we just recently installed a Generac standby Generator for 12 or so circuits of the house, some of which include all the internal computing and networking, and external communications. We live in the mountains of Colorado and just had our first 1.5 hour outage. One of my servers sent me an email (as it was designed to do) when it noticed that its power was temporarily being supplied by an attached UPS, and 30 second later I got another email saying that power was restored, in this case by the generator. Is it possible to have a program adjust the local on level of a SwitchLinc during certain times of the day? The SwitchLinc is the only device controlling the load. I know it can be done via adjust scene but this doesn't seem to have an effect on the local on level.

When I view the log exported from my isy99i, one of the columns of data is "User" where the value is either System or Web. What are examples of activity that would be generated from User=Web? Also, if you query the isy99i via the rest interface, would it record a log entry for User=Web? I ask because I'm seeing some inconsistencies in my access to the isy99i and what are recorded in the log file...so I might followup with additional questions once I understand this first set of questions. Can anyone throw a code sample for HTTP GET and POST on the forum? I have read through several areas and the WIKI with no luck, perhaps I am blind. I also googled the syntax and was left scratching my head. I was able to read an html file once but now can't repeat it. So I am stumped. Also, the webserver part of the ISY 99, does that allow me to connect to an actual webserver, via FTP to post a file? Perhaps I am doing this the wrong way.. I have a driveway gate which would be nice to monitor and maybe switch lights on/off. It unfortunately is 400' from the house. It does have 110, but is switched from the house (Insteon and ISY) for lights and outlets. I'd like to see when the gate is open or closed. Any ideas without major re-engineering? I think the big issue is having an access point to recieve a simple window/door sensor, but the lack of unswitched power for the AP and trying to keep the AP dry would be a problem. I appreciate the design options you all will come up with.

Is there a way to store the current state of a switchlinc dimmer to a variable? Also, is there a way to set a switchlinc dimmer to a variable? I use my switchlinc dimmers for notifications, so ideally I would like to capture the current state (off, on, or %on), notify via a flash off/on or on/off depending on the original state, then return the switchlinc dimmer to its original state (off, on, or %on).

I have an ISY-26 using the last firmware (2.7.15) for that hardware. I realize this is an older (and somewhat obsolete) PLM. My system is working fine. But I have wanted to add some Insteon wireless devices (2842 motion sensor and others) and cannot seem to add them to the ISY successfully. The model numbers (2842 and others) aren't in the list of devices to link. I have attempted to add them with "auto discovery" but the result is "failed to add..". Is the best solution an upgrade to an ISY994 series of PLM?... for getting support of these wireless devices.

Hello, my cleaning lady has her own Elk M1G code to enter to turn the alarm off. So I would like to adjust the thermostat to comfortable conditions when she arrives. I think this would be easy with the Elk module but how do I get it to adjust back into money saving mode when she leaves? She doesn't have to enter a code to rearm the system when she leaves. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks!

Ok I have the Elk M1G, an Insteon motion detector in the garage, and the garage Insteon relay kit. -I would like to turn the garage lights on for 10 minutes when either the garage is opened, or when the door to my house from the garage is open (may use the motion detector and/or the door sensor on the entry door). How would a program to do this look? -I also want the ISY to send me a text when the garage motion is detected and when the M1G is armed away or stay. The problem here is when we leave we arm the M1G then walk out to the garage and get int he car and leave. I don't want a notification then. I only want it later after we leave. I get this error message every time I log on to the ISY console. It interrupts what I am doing (like replace with) which is very annoying. Can you make it not interrupt the procedure in process? I changed the battery a few months ago, but continue to get this message. The motion sensor is communicating just fine as every time I enter the dining room the lights come on, then go off after the time out. So there isn't a communication error, yet the ISY continues to think there is. Any ideas as to what the problem is? i have other motion sensors with no issues. Motion sensor is the 2420.

I have a Keypadlinc v.36 Button that is the controller for a Scene called "All Off" When I Turn the Scene Off in my ISY the behavior is as expected, all lights turn off. When I Turn the Scene On in my ISY it is a little odd, the lights all turn off (the On Levels are set to 0), so the lights are off but status lights turn on all over the house. Seems odd since the ISY even asked me what I wanted to do for devices that don't support On Level and I said Turn Off. Not a huge issue since I plan on using a non-toggle mode on the button that will just send the off command anyways. I am planning to control the scene from the Keypad Button. I dont know if it is possible to combine these two programs. My girlfriend can't stand the keypad lights and switchlinc LED at night. So, I made two programs. One dims or eliminates the lights and the other returns the lights to normal levels when daytime returns. I didn't know if it is possible to accomplish what I did with one program using If, Then, Else rather then two. -Paul
