I have a light over my shower and tub and an exhaust fan. Is it possible to monitor the light and if it is turned off, while the fan is running, then the fan would continue to run and turn off after 10 minutes?

I recently installed some KPL's in my house. One of them replaced a switchlinc dimmer that worked perfectly. I am now having problems with that KPL, and the others I installed communicating properly with other devices. Specifically, I would like all my lights to be turned off at night when I press the "off" button on the KPL. This feature had been working correctly when I used the switchlinc dimmer. Turned that off turned off everything else (using an ISY program). When I replaced it with the KPL and changed to the code to detect the "KPL switched off" control, only some of the devices that are supposed to turn off actually turn off. I'm trying to setup a simple test here in my office before installing it in my driveway. My test was to get the motion sensor to send a notification to my email when it sensed on object passing by. I am trying to create a series of scenes for my KPL 8 2486D v40. A button would turn some switches on, B would turn the same group off C button would turn some other switches on, D would turn the same group off E button would turn some yet other switches on, F would turn the same group off G button would turn some different switches on, H would turn the same group off I set all of the buttons to Toggle(On) Mode I then create 8 scenes with A-H a controller for each of the scenes and then I adjust the levels and turn the opposite button off. I just replaced my Houselinc software with an ISY994i. The house has 8 keypads, 17 dimmer switches, 16 inline dimmers, and 3 appliance switches so I didn't want to reprogram everything from scratch. I gave the ISY some controllers to start with and it discovered all but two of the unlinked switches and created over 100 scenes. I had it add in the last two controllers. The I deleted the old PLM (which only had one sunset/sunrise program in it), grouped the keypads, named them all, and put them in folders and went on to look at the scenes. It was down to 20 scenes, and when I did a compare links on one device, it had 42 links and about 60 missing. I'm not sure at w…

About two weeks ago my home ISY just started to show many communication errors. Now when I log in to the ISY, it show system busy for about 10 minutes as it cycles through many "making adjustments". During this process I get many "cannot communicate" errors. I go through the logs and cannot find what the issue is. I have not changed the configuration much before this happened and it has been running fine for over 2 years. I have added nothing new to the house that would cause an interference. Not sure where to start looking as to what to fix.

Hi, I can't seem to get the load sensing to work on my LampLinc devices. I have enabled Load Sensing - LampLinc is turned off (red) - I turn on the light using its switch - nothing happens. What am I doing wrong. Thanks, Jim

I know a lot of you guys already know this, but i know there are guys like me who would love to see a program written out so it can be copied. My internet gateway (a FreeBSD box) has a bit of a quirk (designed) in regards to port forwarding via natd, which makes it somewhat impossible to use it with the isy from 'inside' the network as well as from the 'outside' using the same URL (i.e. in mobilinc, ekeypad, etc). Therefore I tried to use apache proxypass to forward the external traffic to my internal isy (which works pretty well for the two security cams I have), however the ISY is giving me trouble. Hi, I just purchased the ISY 99i pro IR. I am just starting the migrating process to insteon and have a lot of x10 devices. I am wondering what exactly the A10/X10 module does?? Can I create scenes for the x10 modules with it??? Thanks for any help you can give me!

I have manually (holding set button) linked an I/O Linc 2450 to an insteon relay switch 2466S. But I would like to configure same logic in ISY. I suspect I need to create a scene, but I can't figure out how to add the I/O Linc 2450 device. I tried just creating a new insteon device but the isy doesn't do anything

Hello, Looking for a little help setting up a command to turn on my Denon audio receiver via the ISY. It is the CI version and can take IP codes via rule. What I would like to know is can I set a KPL to turn on the receiver and change the input to itunes to play music in the house. I tried to copy the irule codes to the network mod and tried every which way to get it to work. Now I am stuck asking anyone if they have any suggestions. Thank you for your time in advance.

Last night I came home to find my outdoor front lights turning on and off like a light show. Turns out my 2 year old son had been caught playing with one of the light switches which caused this. So a few weeks ago I posted about a few devices that started acting cookey on my otherwise previously stable network. This problem has gotten worse with many more devices not responding, scenes not working properly or programs not executing devices. The problems all seemed to have started when I purchased a few new switches for my network. I replaced 1 or 2 switches with different insteon switches (for example, takin out a dualband switchlinc in place of a new non dual band kpl and putting the dualband switchlinc onto another non insteon switch, effectively making the network larger). I was wondering if it was possible to set variables or the content of notifications remotely. Say for example, I wanted to send an alert to an Elk keypad and I have the Network Module ping a page for data. Is there a way to get that data into the system via REST or the Network module? I have a fan and lamp both controlled from one wall switch using X10 that I would like to switch to insteon. These switches are in my kids rooms. The Leviton two scene switches send on and off command to a x10 outlet or inline x10 module. I have been slowly migrating my x10 stuff to insteon but some devices are more difficult to migrate. I have looked at the Fanlinc and the reviews on how it controls the motor make me reluctant to purchase. I had hoped the remotelinc might be a solution but I never liked the idea of having to change batteries. any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated and welcome.
