Feature Request(?) - Connecting an Echo+ (with ZigBee support) to isy994i?
Not as a standby Z-Wave controller no. There really isn't such a thing as a fail-over like capability with Z-Wave controllers. You can use the Hubitat hub as a remote z-wave controller as the devices will be visible to the ISY but it would be on it's own z-wave network as an independent controller.

Feature Request(?) - Connecting an Echo+ (with ZigBee support) to isy994i?
There's no way to link to the Amazon Echo Plus devices directly currently nor do I think there ever will be. I have been working on a nodeserver that integrates the Hubitat Hub with the ISY. This mirrors the devices from Hubitat to the ISY. Device support is currently limited but the Sylvania Lightify bulbs should work. The Hubitat hub is basically a "clone" of SmartThings but with more programming capabilities using Rule Machine for 'programs'. There is a Hubitat app called HubConnect that also allows you to connect SmartThings to Hubitat as well.

In Floor heating thermostat options for the ISY 994i
There's only one Signature model. I sent you a PM as well. But when you're ready to buy let me know as I'm a Nuheat partner.

In Floor heating thermostat options for the ISY 994i
@EddieRock, I just received the development unit of the NuHeat Signature thermostat. This is a wifi thermostat made for under floor heating and for baseboard heating. I have plans on developing a Polyglot NodeServer for this. I just got the unit and I haven't even wired it yet so I have no time frame other than "by the fall" (North American fall). I am working with NuHeat on a plugin for HomeSeer with plans to bring it to ISY as well. So stay tuned.

Anyway to push voice alerts/notifications to Home?
If it's a Insteon contact sensor then it's NC so 0. Unless it's the newer Insteon garage door kit sensors they are NO

Z-Wave Ceiling Fan Controler?
I have worked mostly with Z-Wave until recently using Insteon and the correct control of ceiling fans are the controllers I previously posted. Anything else is not rated for the purpose nor designed for it. There are many things that "might" work or "can be made to work" but you do so at your own risk and it's your insurance claim.

New Portal User
Yes port 443 is the default port for HTTPS. YES definitely go into your router and clean up / remove the port forwarding rules.
-
New Portal User
That information can be used by almost? anything to connect to your ISY through the Portal connection. The ISY Portal acts as a proxy service to your ISY so anything that can make an secure (port 443) HTTP connection and authenticate should work.

In eKPro you the steps are as follows: Config -> Automation Systems -> MyISY (whatever you named it) -> Configuration Details Network Address = my.isy.io Port Number = 443 ISY Username = Your portal login ISY Password = Your portal password

Hue vs Lifx on isy
Only in numeric value not in string value.... so you won't see "Electric Blue" you will see the hue, sat, brightness, etc in the values... ISY limitation of not supporting "string" values....
-
Hue vs Lifx on isy
Yes sorta. The color is represented by numeric values of the hue, saturation, brightness and color temperature. There is also a drop down for color selection... example screenshot of mine.

Looking for thermostat suggestions
I'm "Thermostat challenged" as I use baseboard heating and woodstove for heat... the options are very limited for line voltage thermostat's... I use StelPro currently but I've been thinking of going with the NuHeat Signature but it's Wifi based but they have an open API and I've talked with them and they are open to us integrating. So I don't know they are also expensive and when doing room heating that adds up FAST.

Hue vs Lifx on isy
As @lilyoyo1 said the time variance between issuing a voice command to the action occurring is a variable. The speed variable depends on a couple of things. Are you doing a voice command direct to the skill or first going to ISY then to the device? For my Hue and LiFX I have their skills setup independent of the ISY for voice commands. The speed i see on good days is near instant I say and there's the light... then on other days I say turn on the light and it's a couple of seconds and the echo lights just spin and then there's the light.....

Hue vs Lifx on isy
Never heard of this until today either. I'm interested in learning the "Why" about this....

Hue vs Lifx on isy
I've never heard of the can't be upside down thing before... BR30's are primarily used in ceiling fixtures.

Z-Wave Ceiling Fan Controler?
On paper it looks very nice.... however I've seen it before how the marketing and product vastly differ once they are in production.
-
Hue vs Lifx on isy
Agreed. I currently and probably always only use Hue/LiFX in lamps. My primary lighting are all switched. I played with some Hue lamps in the dining room and although they are ok the features never got used by anyone so it made no sense at all. Speaking of network problems... I've had that happen with the LiFX where I had a router failure overnight and the LiFX bulbs became mostly useless in function however them not working was I suppose a secondary router monitor?

Well I'm just too literal this early

Z-Wave Ceiling Fan Controler?
That's why I put the caveat of finding one rated for that purpose....which I don't know of any....
-
Z-Wave Ceiling Fan Controler?
In the Z-Wave world not really. You could possibly get away with a inline dimmer module if you found one that was rated for the motor amperage. Qubino, Fibaro or Aeotec make some but I have no experience with those for fan control.

Z-Wave Ceiling Fan Controler?
There is the GE Fan Controller and the HomeSeer Fan Controller. Those are the current Z-Wave offerings. With Z-Wave these are ONLY for fan speed control and do not control the lights. https://www.amazon.com/GE-Controls-Required-SmartThings-14287/dp/B06XTKQTTV https://shop.homeseer.com/products/homeseer-hs-fc200-z-wave-plus-fan-controller

Hue vs Lifx on isy
The switch always needs to be on for the LiFX or Hue bulbs to work. The Hue are more forgiving and faster to come online from a no power state though which provides (to me) more flexibility in their use beyond table lamps. I currently but may change this only use LiFX/Hue in table or floor lamps that always have power and then I use the polyglot nodeserver to turn the lamps on/off and set brightness etc. I do have a KPL setup for the living room area that has no load to it so it's just a remote and it can be used to turn on/off all lights in the room or select individual lamps.

Internet access
With HomeSeer I use their MyHS service. It works well enough and is as secure as your password is for standard remote access. I use tokens for app/script based access for plugins so I don't have id/password floating around in scripts or on 3rd party systems. With my ISY units I use the ISY Portal service. This works very nicely for me. It allows the same secure remote access to my system for status/control when I'm remote and they provide tokens for third party integrations as well. With all of the options for network equipment and built in VPN functionality I can VPN directly from my phone so I find limited reason to use port forwarding except for poking the hole for the VPN.

Internet access
I don't recommend "port forwarding" of internal systems in general from consumer routers. The HS3 method uses the MyHS service not port forwarding. The ISY uses the ISY Portal method. However with any system you are still free to do port forwarding if you choose.
-
Internet access
So you are doing port forwarding through your own firewall. That is still possible with HS3 and with ISY. I personally don't advise it with any system.
