One thing to note is that my home box I did the 2 year portal purchase before doing Update Packages to 5.3.3 (as I said was not aware that there were out of the box issues and started purchasing right away on portal, z-wave and node services.) The one in question here is the office system that I did the Update Packages to 5.5.3 first before purchasing the 2 year for that one. Also note these are completely different login accounts too... I do not have both eISY on the same login accounts. I do have my old ISY994zw's in each one active account respectively and in use for Insteon devices only while I prepare and await an order on Z-Wave Scene Controllers to prep as-well into new system before phase out of all Insteon devices.

Just that it's waiting for approval and when I go into admin and click approve I get "Bad request" pop-up response in red text with a OK to confirm and close pop-up....
-
The current release is 5.5.3 of ISY.. I can indeed select a new time zone under 5.5.3. Networking is not your issue. I would unplug your eISY, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in and let it boot up, then perform a Upgrade Packages to get to 5.5.3. There is suppose to be Beeps 4 +1 I'm told but I cannot confirm this because I'm deaf so, I waited 30 minutes on one of my eISY's then just opened the launcher and close it till it finally showed the new version being installed before going into the Admin. Cheers! TRI0N

Actually that's how ALL configurable network devices work. This has nothing to do with the ISY. If he want to configure the ISY to use a STATIC IP. He should assign the IP via the Router Admin. However the configuration input is standard on all network configurable devices as a "FAIL SAFE" in the event that the DHCP fails while systems are already online within the LAN the device can still be found at the reserved address and will not effect the DHCP when restored. Well to be fair it does literally say "BETA" on the product then you buy it. I'm going to wait for the next update before proceeding with Z-Wave at the office location. Too late for the home location but it will just have to wait for further testing on my side at home as soon as a box of Z-Wave Scene Controls arrives. Side Note: Antenna Locations | There is a Z-Wave - ZigBeee/Matter install instruction for their discontinued ISY box that refer to one antenna having a yellow band for Z-Wave while the other has a red band for ZigBee/Matter. HOWEVER both of mine came with Yellow and Purple. Purple is now ZigBee/Matter on their new USB dongle. Cheers, TRI0N

Okay getting the second eISY ready for the company location and I can't approve my eISY portal. Now I did see someone mention they had this problem migrating from old ISY import. This is not the case here. This is a straight up clear install to replace out current 994 and move to Z-Wave/Kasa over Insteon. When I attempt to approve my purchased 2 year portal plan it comes up "Bad Request". I didn't have this problem with the home unit. It approved no problem at all. But I didn't Update Packages on the home system first before approving by my memory. What I learned from the home systems was to update first thing because 1) Poly doesn't work out of the box. 2) There are menu items in the out of the box that shouldn't be played with obviously because they are removed in the 5.5.3 update. Any help getting this to approve registration of my Portal purchase would be great. Then I can continue to install the Z-Wave - ZigBee/Matter USB Device to continue my prep. Thanks, TRI0N PS - Just brainstorm it for now. I'm not at the office and I can't remote portal till it's approved. (Irony)

Okay lets make it easy for the rest of those that will come here scratching their heads because we are not assembling anything and there is no instructions included on this inside the box. Yellow = Z-Wave Purple = Zigbee/Matter (although the assemble mention "red") Mine is purple not red.
-
Not an official answer but according to the ZMatter: Z-Wave+ & Matter Module for Polisy (Beta) images and layout the yellow is on Z-Wave and Purple is on Zigbee/Matter. But I'll see if there is an official answer or if it even matters.

Okay got my pair of these puppies for my 2 eISY's and first thing I notice is there is 2 colors rings antenna and no in box manual and no search results for "Antenna Color". One has a Yellow Ring the other a Purple Ring. Which goes on the Z-Wave and which goes on the Zigbee/Matter? Thanks, TRI0N

Resolved: (re)Installing HUE Node Server and pressing the HUE Button on HUB fixed the issue. However I did not find any information on V3 and Hue Node. Cheers, TRI0N

I too will be migrating 2 locations from Insteon to Z-Wave devices, such as Scene Switches, Wireless Fan Controls and miscellaneous switchless lights while most everything else is Kasa TP-Link products like Light Switches, Power Bars, Color Energy Light and Outlets (also a HUE for outdoor lights). So this will be an interesting read. Just a bit disappointed this is not made into documentation post release. So I'm going to handle it like a HP Beta Printer. I'll mess with it till "they" get it right before I approve it for production. I can imagine, it's going to be pretty straight forward. But then again I wasn't expecting to have a non-functional unit right out of the box either.

eISY + HUE = More Info link is broken from Node Store where I'm sure it will tell me the custom keys needs to add for it to login to my HUE. Please advise on where to obtain the correct Polyglot v3 instructions on keys. I couldn't find the GitHub for it. There was several misleading distros on GitHub. Thanks, TRI0N

eISY + Polyglot v3 + Kasa Node Server = Problems
TRI0N replied to TRI0N's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
Once I read that you can SSH into the unit I performed them following sudo commands: sudo pkg install -r udi pkg sudo pkg update sudo pkg upgrade pkg sudo reboot -r That got me fixed and updated all the necessary library files and works far better for me than auditable tones. LoL PS - Didn't need to Re-Install Node Serves as suggested it found everything accordingly after sudo commands and a reboot. Cheers! TRI0N -
eISY + Polyglot v3 + Kasa Node Server = Problems
TRI0N replied to TRI0N's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
Humm... One problem. I'm 100% deaf. The confirmation beeps (4 + 1) as noted in the Current Release Announcement will be a bit of a mystery to me. Can you give a rough ETA of when this should finish the upgrade. Note: I did do the steps in the Current Release Announcement and clicked the Update Packages, The UDAC closed after a few moments and I let it sit for about 15 mins before I unplugged it and then plugged it back in. I launched the UDAC and it's still 5.4.5 and Poly is still 3.1.16. Do I need to do a flash drive update to make this happen from 5.4.5 to 5.5.3 and 3.1.16 to 3.1.18? Do I obtain that through a support ticket if needed? Standing by, TRI0N -
Firmware & UI of IoX: v5.4.5 Okay, We took the plunge and bought 2 eISY's to replace my isy994zw's. I got the Z-Wave USB's on the way as well. But let's focus on the Polyglot v3 node servers not connecting and lets start with Kasa since I have a quiet a few of those already in use and ready to pre-configure the eISY to replace the old. Kasa Node Server: PURCHASED $30 Perpetual [✔️] Kasa Node Server Installed [✔️] Kasa Node Server Connected: [❌] No log files available to view. If I go into Poly then click configure for Kasa(1) [on node 1] and then click Log. There is a absolutely no logs at all. If you click Discover. Nothing happens. Does the node server show up in UDAC? Yes, however no discovered nodes are listed. I attached 5 Screen Shots. Let me know what else is needed to help resolve this. Once I can resolve one Node Server I can move to the next. Cheers, TRI0N

No that's not it. It's happened before over a year ago but there was no update for 2.2.11 back then, in fact, I updated it to 2.2.9-5 back then and it updated on its own just fine. It was just during this TP-Link Failure that it showed a new update. All it takes is a Polyglot Reboot to fix the TP-Link issue. But that does explain why some just recently purchased TP-Link Smart Outlets are not showing up after looking. Otherwise, the ISY didn't control those new items but just now realized they are not appearing even if you tell it to Add All Nodes. Then looking in Polyglot they are not even in the Kasa Node Server either.
-
The problem is this. Another one of my dev items is in a final stage of development for a smart automated garage door system that is new. For some reason the Polyglot stop functioning with TP-Link devices. So, I logged in for the first time into the Pi 4 since the ISY 5.3.0 nightmare at the office. There was an UPDATE... Wooo, anyone would be excited right? Well, the built-in update doesn't even work (not exactually putting my 5.3.0 blues to rest). So, I needed a quick fix to update this but, apparently, it's just a GetHub Raspatory so anything can go wrong will most likely go wrong. I was able to fix the TP-Link issues but since there was an update I figure (like any other normal person would) it would be a good idea to do so. So, what is being used to replace the polyglot library and ability to develop for none released technology. I have like I said another project that is nearing to develop for Siemons Universal Charging with Tesla Technology Enabled Smart Charging System for Commercial applications for companies that want to offer EV Charging to all cars while also making it enable Tesla Technology for their Rapid Charge to only employees with RFID's that allow it. ISY's job is to know when and when not to energize the electric lines to those units.
-
Made perfect sense. Product wasn't working. Needed to upgrade Polyglot to 2.2.11. Yes, I ranted, it was well overdue since the last 3.5.0 update to ISY itself where it lost the entire configuration kept me from every looking to see if another update was released. I can see why one never was. Last: What exactly is the new eisy using to replace Polyglot? Will it communicate with other said devices that Polyglot did. Will it be able to accept my own dev for a Siemons Car Chargers unit I've been developing with Tesla? What is the replacement for Polyglot in your new product?
-
Same as Polysi Pro?
-
But thanks to another user they pointed out your products is 1) End of Life and 2) New Product is Out of Stock till who know when. So, wasting my time with the product at hand and even if Polysi Pro's as a solution.
-
So Polysi Pro is not even in stock? Well that saves me a ton of time telling one client that I will need to find something that will work for their commercial venue, while now looking for a new solution to my 2 existing units. Thanks for getting straight to the heart of it. No BS. It's not worth it. Roger that!
-
Holy balls! Did I say I purchased a Pi 4 form Universal Devices?
-
3 responders and not a single person can point to a link about manually updating a Pi 4 for Polyglot 2.2.11? Or even just a Linux variant manual update? That would have made the same on upgrading 1/4 the way. Lets just forget that v2.2.9-5 lies about updating itself. Can we just get that fixed?
-
I need all of those things. So, I've been paying for this and nothing about Discontinued Product/End of Life and now I'm just going to go off an buy the Polysi system because that is the only option you're attempting to sell me. I was going to buy them if this current problem can be solved. I'm not going to buy them to fix a problem that shouldn't be a problem in the first place. The idea of consolidating everything into one unit is very nice. No need for an ISY/Z-Wave Boost/Pi 4 Polyglot for each system. That would be a reason I WOULD buy. Not because it's the ONLY fix. It's just becoming increasingly frustrating to deal with this product whenever there is a new release when you click "UPDATE" and it doesn't do it but tells you it did. That's not a good reason to fork money at something.
-
You're telling me I pay for a subscription for it and I'm hearing from someone that doesn't even work for them that the product is discontinued. For real?
