@RPerrault Thanks. Yea, I've been digging through here and the UD Wiki and don't find much. I Can't even find a clear definition on Update with Interview. It appears that Interview gathers the Command Classes but what, if anything else does it do? Likewise Update with Interview what does that update? Just the available CCs? Located where? I'd like to gain a better understanding of Z-Wave but there's a boat-load of reading to be done and right now I'm just trying to find the release/patch version of a device which I guess appears in X-Ray. I've found a couple "suspect" fields/variables but I need to verify I'm looking at the right things. I.E. Firmware vs. Application? DH is? Although I've reviewed a fair amount of stuff I still can't get it to all line up. And it looks to me like there could be more docu on the UD UI, explaining things like Update with Interview, what does it do, what does it effect, what to be aware of, etc. Details of X-Ray? Maybe I just haven't found it yet?

Method of detecting a tripped breaker?
GJ Software Products replied to jec6613's topic in Coffee Shop
I use the NO contact relay method other's have mentioned here to catch a power outage to a large chiller plant (1,500 tons) The PLC is on SEP/UPS power and continues to run thru the outage but when the power comes back I have to initiate a recovery sequence, I.E. reposition valves, reset VFDs, recalculate staging, open valve, prove valve, start pump, prove pump, start chiller, etc. and trapping the open on the NO contact when the coil voltage fails has worked great for a few years now. -
I’ve got two physically identical flood light controllers however they both display a different “type” I guess you’d call it, one displays “Home Security Alarm [S2 Auth” and the other displays as “Home Security Alarm [S2 Auth Unauth”. Can I enable S2 Unauth by modifying a file in the eisy or do I need to remove and add back in? Is it even possible to reach into the Matter dongle if that's where it's saved? One the temperatures displays in °C and the other displays in °F. I’ve looked for a Configuration Parameter in the documentation but don’t find anything. And I’ve had trouble with one, excessive triggering of the motion sensor without cause. So I went digging around in X-Ray looking for Configuration Parameters, SW/FW version levels, etc. and of course there’s a bunch of tags/elements but I really don’t know what I’m looking for. Some basic ones like DH Controller/String DATA controller.data.firmware.version = "0304.00000C34.1711", String DATA controller.data.firmware.build = "7.18.3/0"; DH Device\ Integer DATA devices.9.data.applicationMajor = 1 (0x00000001), Integer DATA devices.9.data.applicationMinor = 0 (0x00000000) all match. While the tags are pretty self-explanatory I’m still guessing “Controller” is the hub vs. “Device” is the remote Hardware device and so on. Although written documentation could confirm if I’m interpreting this correctly. So, I guess I’m looking for a crash course in X-Ray of/on Z-Wave devices/nodes and/or any documentation available. How much of this is defined in the Z-Wave standard and/or managed by Silicon Labs? Are these tag names UD's? Does anyone got any pointers/thoughts/input? How can I determine what is different between these two devices? Thanks in advance for any help. Much appreciated. Thanks, Grant

Support Thread for: IoX 5.7.1 (Nov 12, 2023)
GJ Software Products replied to Administrator's topic in IoX Support
Just upgraded to 5.7.1, no issues. Thanks Michael & Team! -
Just got three(3) Sengled lamps working, (1) E11-N1EA at Zigbee HA 1.2.1 and (2) E21-N1EA at Zigbee 3.0 and both versions (HA & 3.0) appear to be working fine.

Sengled E11-N1EAW Zigbee Light Bulb
GJ Software Products replied to GJ Software Products's topic in ZMatter
The 1st bulb was Zigebee 3.0, I got 2 from Amazon. I got a 3rd from Best Buy, Zigbee HA 1.2.1 . I added the 1.2.1 without issue. I then added the 2nd 3.0 without issue this time. All is well. -
Sengled E11-N1EAW Zigbee Light Bulb
GJ Software Products replied to GJ Software Products's topic in ZMatter
@pkauf Hi Shawn, Strangest thing, I let it sit for ~24 hours and now coming back into it the two Property Sheets display accurate, Color Hue-Sat with hue & sat values, and On-Off Switch with your typical on-off values/actions. Everything seems to work. I haven’t gone deep into Zigbee, I’m wondering if it had to retrieve a device profile from an external source or maybe build one before the nodes would display correctly in the AC and that’s what took time. I got one more lamp, maybe I’ll make a video screen-capture of the association process when I install it. Yes, two commands in a program, one for hue-sat and another for on-off worked/works fine; that’s how I’m doing it too. Having the AC working is nice as I can now set values statically like sat & On Level and they stick (I hope). Overall, now past the AC anomaly it looks like these lamps work with eisy and the Matter dongle. Thanks, Grant -
I got a Sengled E11-N1EAW Zigbee Light Bulb that's "'kinda" working but especially in the AC it seems a bit buggy. So far I've been able to use programs to turn it on and off and change colors. See for more detail on the steps I've been taking and what I'm seeing in the AC. -Grant

Eisy IoX 5.7.0 . I got a couple of these lamps and I can’t get them fully integrated and working in the AC GUI. I choose “Zigbee/Add a Zigbee Device” to put eisy in Paring mode. I switch on the lamp and it sees the lamp and starts an Interview. It adds two nodes to the Network, “On-Off Switch” and “Color Hue-Sat”. The Property Sheet for either node display the Property Sheet for Color Hue-Sat”. There are no Actions for On or Off. I can change the color by selecting a value for Hue and Saturation and pressing “Move To”. Details as to how these Properties shown on this page interact/work would be nice. But there is no Button for on and off. So if I choose the On-Off Switch node and Zigbee/Synchronize/Update with Interview I get an On-Off Switch Property page/sheet for both nodes, Color Hue-Sat and On-Off Switch and now I can turn the light on and off but I can’t get to the properties to change the color. And Identify just generates a can’t communicate error although it does communicate because the On and Off buttons now accessible do work. However it does appear to work when using a Program Object to change the Properties. Maybe this is just a loose nut behind the keyboard but does anyone have any experience/suggestions getting these Sengled lamps to behave like they should in the AC and maybe a crash course on Hue and Saturation and how the different Properties shown on the Color Hue-Sat work/do ? Thanks, Grant

@Michel Kohanim I just reviewed my Next Scheduled times and they all look healthy.
-
@Michel Kohanim I didn't take a screen-shot What I encountered this AM is my exterior lights didn't go off, and when I dug into it all the last & next run times were blank. I look at a photocell & turn the lights on and off. Somewhat similar to the problem I had when programs flagged run at startup never ran that Chris took a look remoting in and saw enough to understand and it appeared to be fixed now in earlier updates. But after I rebooted it fixed itself this time. They all worked Fri. night & Sat. AM & PM without intervention but something to do with the time changed cleared all the last/next run times... ???
-
Yep, I just went & looked at mine and they are both an hour early too. I'm looking at a photocell (actually the average of 2) for my exterior lighting control so this shouldn't hurt me as my system stands at the moment.
-
Similar issues with my eisy after the time change. Programs quit running and I had to manually trigger them and they had been running since 11/3 6:55 after I installed PG3 3.2.14 and rebooted. I rebooted again this AM and what was interesting is that UD Mobile reported the update was complete, again. But it appears the reboot after the time change fixed everything.

Today I got a ThirdReality 3RSP0208BZ Smart Plug that's supposed to have a Power Meter too. It discovered right away but no properties / variables for a power meter. Displayed in IoX looks just like an On/Off switch with no meter.

Eisy going offline - online / offline - online
GJ Software Products replied to Michaelv's topic in eisy
Spectrum was performing maintenance from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM last night. It only affected me from 12:24 AM to 12:29 AM. -
Just got my ThirdReality 3RSP019BZ Smart Plug, plugged it in and it discovered right away. On/Off commands work. -Grant

/rest/zb/info returns <RestResponse succeeded="false"><status>500</status></RestResponse> on my eisy. Is this Rest command still supported? I've got a Matter dongle on an eisy at 5.7.0_5 and Add Devices doesn't Discover a know good device. Could be compatibility but I want to rule out the Matter dongle. Z-Wave is working fine. Although I don't get ZMatter Zigbee not responding...

That's 'kinda what I was guessing, I'm pretty sure Niagara has a custom driver (.jar) (I'd need to go digging) and then on the BACnet IP side the translation/driver is in the gateway. Essentially that's what I tried, put the eisy in add/discover mode, then power up the device, I see the broadcast LED flashing but nothing shows up in the AC. I've had problems with/between Zigbee and Zigbee+ and I'm guessing UD is Zigbee+ but I can't seem to find any specs. No biggie, this old stat was a free demo from back before I deployed Viconics, I just wanted to see if IoX would recognize it. This may not have the 3.0 chip in it, it still may be at 1.0 or whatever but 3.0 is supposed to be backwards comparable according to the Zigbee Alliance but I have found that is not always the case. Thanks, Grant
-
@brians Just fyi, The Viconics VT7600 stat has three parameters for the Wireless models, Com Addr, PAN ID and Channel. I use these with a couple different Integrations, Zigbee to Niagara and Zigbee to a BACnetIP gateway, both use all 3 properties and if I remember right (it's been awhile) at least the Channel and maybe PAN ID needs to match. These are commercial grade devices.
-
Yea, I was trying to find out if it's using Zigbee+ (3.0) I would guess it is, which is supposed to be backwards compatible, I thought I saw that somewhere but couldn't find it again. And configuration seems different from the Zigbee devices I use at work, they all have addressing information you have to set up before Discovery and the Gateway has to match. Does UI have any docu out there like a Zigbee user manual that anyone is aware of? I think my On/Off device might show up today from Amazon so we'll see where I get with that??? -Grant

Is Zigbee supported and working at 5.7.0_5? I just tried to discover a Zigbee thermostat and it came up empty. Is anyone out there using Zigbee with eisy and the Matter dongle? My bad. Further research I find some out there communicating with bulbs & outlets. I ordered one of the outlets others are talking to and we'll see how it goes.

Just upgraded to isy-5.7.0_5 and pg3x-3.2.10 on eisy and no issues yet. Fingers crossed. -Grant Ran well overnight, when I first pushed to 5.7.0 a HomeSeer FLS (1 out of 2) began behaving like the motion was getting triggered intermittently thus activating a program, never saw that on the other, but after the push to _5 that didn't fire all last night from what I can tell. Very strange but I'm wondering if a loose pointer wasn't causing my motion detected program to fire on the one program?

Upgraded to IoX 5.7.0 and PG3 3.2.6 on eisy and all looks well.

Support thread for: PG3x v3.1.32 (June 27, 2023)
GJ Software Products replied to bmercier's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
I too am having trouble upgrading, I even get a pop-up "Packages have been upgraded successfully!!!" but when I go look I'm still at 5.6.2 and 3.1.28 . I even get the dialouge "Some updated packages are avaiable..." but when I try to upgrade them, multiple times, I can't authenticate to PG3x and have to reboot the eisy from the command prompt or power-fail the eisy to get it back. -
@bpwwer Haven't tried the Eagle 200 node server, It'll probably work as the Eagle 3 I have just seems to be an extension of the Eagle 200 and uses the same WSDL. I got a little Python script talking to it right now. Yes, seems pretty open and so far so good, no problems with it.
