Random ON/OFF Program?
I was thinking the logic was ladder like... if the IF statement is true it goes to THEN... once THEN is executing I didn't think it returned to the IF condition (or be affected by the fact it's FALSE.) The second program isn't disabled because nothing would happen if it were. Jon

Random ON/OFF Program?
Simply, I don't want it to run past 10pm... I don't care when it starts, just not past ten. If it doesn't run that's fine... I don't think the fact it's evaluated as false is going to harm the ISY or burn down the house.

Random ON/OFF Program?
I'm trying to randomly turn ON then OFF a light between sunset and 10pm. I'd like to narrow the "random" range somewhat by not starting at 0 minutes but i don't see how to do that right now. Thanks, Jon

Release 2.8.9 (RC5) Is Now Available
The Wiki states: Dusk/Dawn requires a change to persist for 3.5 minutes before transmitting a command. I think it's independent of motion.. I hope. At least that would make sense if you were to use it outside to detect dusk/dawn in a low trafficked area. Still haven't got the dang thing set to the light levels I want but it does work.. The graphic's for the current state seem buggy to me but that may just be me.

Release 2.8.9 (RC5) Is Now Available
Yep... I know about the 3.5 min... and though I'm gonna turn the "motion sensor" to signal on only I have it set to respond on/off and with .5 min delay but still even with that setting the "Sensor" current state wasn't displaying earlier. All functions are now displaying their current state so... I don't really understand what's going on.

Release 2.8.9 (RC5) Is Now Available
I thought something like that but I woke it by putting it in link mode, activated the motion sensor and then placed it in light but none caused it display. Also, now none of the functions, "Dusk/Dawn," "Sensor" or "Low Battery" are displaying the current state. I rebooted and now "Low Battery" and "Sensor" display.

Release 2.8.9 (RC5) Is Now Available
I have an issue with a motion sensor I installed after the 2.8.9 update. The "Current State" for the photocell isn't showing anything. Both the "Sensor" and "Low Battery" indicate but nothing for "Dusk/Dawn." I'm trying to use the light detector to turn on a few lights under low light conditions (cloudy days) and the program I wrote ran correctly this morning, turning on a light. I noticed this after install last evening but after some time and playing around with it the "Current State" for dusk/dawn started displaying. Hasn't appeared yet this morning even with a few reboots. My first motion sensor so I don't have any experience with it. Jon hmm, after rebooting a few more times now none of the functions show in "Current State."

Different Light Bulb Types and Impact on INSTEON
Just recently had to replace two outdoor CFLs with Halogen. Couldn't communicate with either SWL, tried new CFLs but after hours of on time started producing too much noise. I think this had to do with the weather here in Houston, either the temp or humidity but everything had run great since I installed the devices mid April. These were FEIT 60w equiv. and I don't know how other brands would work but I'll be glad to see Insteon compatible CFLs or inexpensive 60w equiv. LEDs.

Loads
I'm not certain, and of course it would depend on the type and manufacturer but I think transformers are fairly efficient, something like 98+% for a large single phase supplying a home. Smaller magnetic transformers perform similarly but not quite. Jon

I love the low wattage LED's offer and in certain apps they're great. I purchased 6 of the "Model E12-W32 Candelabra Base bulb" from http://www.superbrightleds.com at $20 a pop and am not a happy camper. These particular LED's are nowhere near as bright as the advertised 15-20W comparison but more like a 7 watt incandescent. Also, one arrived with the foot only partial and wouldn't make contact and 2 failed within 4 months. I did however purchase an inexpensive spot and rope LED from Home Depot and these work great in my china and display cases. I'm of the opinion screw base LED's are not yet ready for prime time.

I'm not certain I understand the question but ISY adjusts DST and can be found under "Configuration" Tab System/Clock in console.

Insteon Code Abbreviations?
Thanks Rand... I had read the Wiki but it doesn't explain the meaning of the abbreviations as it does with the "INSTEON Action Codes" If I managed somehow to guess what they mean then WOO HOO

Insteon Code Abbreviations?
I'd like to know what the following "INSTEON Level 2 Codes" infer. INST-ACK = Instruction-Acknowledge? INST-SRX = Instruction-Standard Receive Communication? INST-ERX = Instruction-Extended Receive Communication? Just Curious... Thanks, Jon

Basic Programming
I would of thought I'd have tried that I updated to 2.7.15 and have had different experiences in the way the console functions when I open it up via http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.7.15/ or the Java app. I now strictly use the browser link it seems to give me better operation. probably just me though
