Hello Benoit, So very close but no cigar still happening . . .
-
Hello, I saw the IFTT announcement and tried moments ago to login to the portal. Upon doing so noticed a new pop up message that indicated do you want to stay logged in. I never got the chance to say yes and the portal continues to log you out over and over again.

Sadly, this device seems to be a perpetual investment in time, resources, and money . . . Perhaps one day the Insteon Gods will let UDI finally make and sell their own . . .
-
Figures, missed it by this >< much . . .

Hello Michel, Understood about unknown pending approvals on the system but hope to find out why the *More Info* is blank when pressed.
-
There are two different approaches this is the first one which as I understand works but is no longer being developed so there are some things that need invested time: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/14525-amazon-echo-and-isy/ This is another one: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/16337-echo-mapperconfigurator/ This is the one most of the folks are using which Barry Gordon along with others have really helped push the development prior to the UDI Portal: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/17082-interface-with-amazon-echo/?hl=echo Have a big cup of coffee . . .

Hello Scott, I believe given the above you will find the roll your own solution most excellent and will offer the best long term value. Before the portal existed which is literally only a few weeks now. Many used this excellent method and works extremely well based on feed back in the massive thread. Here is the link just for your own personal edification for the HUB II & ISY Integration: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/17271-hub-ii-isy-echo-integration/ I will reference the software option as soon as I find it . . .
-
Hello Scott, The reference to the HUB II is made by Smartlabs who is the maker of Insteon: http://www.smarthome.com/insteon-2245-222-hub.html Let me qualify a few things before we move forward OK. My initial reply to you was to simply offer you a few solutions from free to the most expansive. You can always roll your own with the software package and the use of the middle ware (RPI). Next on the list is using a Insteon HUB II (2245-222) to integrate the Amazon Echo into your Insteon network. Keep in mind the HUB II is supposed to be a stand alone starter controller for those with modest needs. Some enterprising members have come up with a method to integrate the ISY & HUB II where both will operate relatively well together if you're willing to take some risks and sweat equity to make it operate well. For those who have no time, patience, skill, to make the the two solutions work. The UDI Portal will offer the best of in terms of customer experience and integration with other future devices / services. It should be noted that the HUB II does not support X-10. This isn't an issue since the ISY does but I am unsure if the connection of the Echo to the HUB II would see or allow the X-10 device to be controlled and managed. We have a great member named Stu who has tried this integration so wait for him to chime in as to if the combination will allow X-10 support. Only trial and error will offer that insight though . . . I will try to find all the relevant links for you so you can decide on a path before you waste any finances and resources.

Hello Scott, Answers In Line . . .

I hope others will be able to contribute in this endeavor because honestly I won't lie to you this in my mind is the holy grail! I kid you not I have seen lots of make shift things and given what you stated in terms of over all cost. Its in the same ball part as a KPL which has limited capabilities . . . Your working prototype if fully developed could sell quite well if the entire thing was plug & play.
-
Oh my dear friend if you get this hammered out please do document the journey and the steps to accomplish the very same. I would hazard to say if the entire thing could be compiled into a image anyone could download and just change a few network parameter along with user / password. This would be a complete God send . . . To the OP - You Rock & You Know it!

Hello my friend, Yes this is what I am having a very hard time understanding why data that resides in the ISY Series Controller can not be recited by Alexa via the skill. As Michel indicated above, at some point in time the very same capability will be available to those using the smart meter. With respect to the Z-Wave devices offering energy readings - again there are times I wonder how it is something completely unrelated to the energy module is capable of offering the very same energy readings? For those of us who have paid a huge premium for same privilege we seem to be cast aside and left to their own devices?!?! At this juncture it seems we have the whole chicken / egg scenario . . . I 100% agree with you what ever data resides in the ISY Series Controller should be available for use.

You could always *Like This* comment and then one day you and I shall ever be all powerful! Ha . . . It should be noted for anyone unfamiliar with the whole Java, Microsoft's previous version of JRM which was abandoned long ago due to infringement etc. Back in the day things like Adobe Flash, Silver Light, Java etc. Where at the time a easy method to have a client / server real time access and control. With anything it wasn't the idea that wasn't sound it came down to people just wanting to screw around and do bad things with it. I really can't throw stones at hackers because personally know a few black / white hats in the industry. They have in their own way shown the design flaws in the frame work which for the rest of us is a good thing. One can never do better when they simply don't know where they falter. The vaunted and mythical belief back in the day that a Mac computer was not impacted by viruses and threats was laughable. Back in the day before Steve Jobs got his head out of his aszz and finally accepted that with out going with a X86 processor his computer and operating system would always have a 0.5% global use. As a hacker why would anyone invest time, resources, or effort in something that has zero relevance? Fast forward to 2016 history has proven my writings as not only correct but factual. With the advent of Apples and all Linux based computer operating systems we all saw a massive effort from hackers to find holes in the system. One only needs to scan the last three years of what did happen and what was found. On a such a epic level it was found the many Linux / Unix systems were open to various threats. Why? Because there use is pervasive and numbers count when your investing time to hack in the ultimate goal of making money or to steal data or hold business hostage for the above. If someone told me 25 years ago a phone could be impacted by a virus (think any Android) I would have just laughed it off and said you're stupid. What happen 25 years later?? You guessed it the world became stupid and the iSheep / Android bots and the whole next generation of texting while driving, walking, eating, etc was upon us all. Later everyone decided to take on the *Cloud Power* in hopes of following the rest of the stupid. We are currently on a dire path of stupid that literally everyday I take pause and look up in the sky and say let it burn. People often laugh and discount my words or text as paranoid or say *Your tin foil hat is not thick enough* Really?? When people are literally pushing to have their entire home and environment monitored and controlled by a computer which they have no freaking clue what is happening in the back ground who needs to wear a tin foil hat? We literally have companies like Amazon that have been given a green light to use quad copters to ship your products? Then you have the dumbest idea ever considered by a human being and that is self driven vehicles. Which the Germans have been using on 18 wheelers for over a year. From Google getting a green light to do more fully automated vehicle driving. I don't recall the movie of where the people were all too stupid to figure out how to fix something that broke in the system. But I always reflect back on that movie because its the perfect example of how we are literally at this point. When you don't have to use your freaking brain to drive a car or expect some random flying object is flying to your home to deliver a parcel in a busy residential / business region. Oh no I can't see anything going wrong with this at all . . . Then you have the most epic failure waiting to happen to man kind . . . That is the push to integrate tracking devices like RFID into a human beings skull and skin. How f^cken retarded can you actually be in thinking no one is going to hack into your head and do something stupid with such a idea? When you take companies which I have detailed extensively in other threads which has more resources than God and has their hands in every facet of your life and has no less than 100 companies that span ISP, Computers, Telecommunications, Combat Robotics, Cameras, TSTATs, Routers, Cloud Services, etc Do people honestly believe companies like these besides the Unites States Government isn't ready to abuse your data and life? Everyone can mark my words the biggest hero of the 21st century will go down to Edward Snowden. This poor b^stard will one day be found having a heart attack, slip and fell in the tub, or hit by a drunk driver. OK my rant is over . . . Ha!

Windows 7 Enterprise & Ultimate 32/64 bit OS. Using the latest release of Chrome browser. Also, in case it wasn't obvious I deleted the URL identifiers at the end. [emoji38][emoji5] In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

We got the GT model that's the answer!

Hello Michel, Can you offer some insight what are the stumbling blocks in supporting the other energy management tools / hardware? I appreciate the insight and sadly it still seems energy awareness is still not sexy for many. 25 years ago it wasn't sexy and now in 2016 its still the same . . . The last portion of your reply does however give me hope knowing you believe its important. Thank You

It has been said in the past UDI is working toward migration from Java to supporting HTML5. I have to gather this will force their hand at some point and we shall see the final death of the Java interface. Billions of devices across the globe use it in various ways. But, its glory days have come and gone and its time to let it die because it just sucked aszz. It literally has become another Window's rinse and repeat affair. Every three weeks there is a new release due to some vulnerability in the platform. Java can't go away and die fast enough for me . . .
-
LOL . . . LOL . . . Maybe we got the GT model instead of the GTS Super Charged Twin Turbo Deluxe?
-
This is technically available via network resources and some people have already done so. Michel has indicated they are in the middle of testing and validation in both 4.XX / 5.XX branch. Its safe to say there are quite a few people waiting for this native support . . .
-
LMAO . . . Hrmm that's interesting because there isn't a thing in mine besides a solid blue screen. I thought after reading your reply it was because I didn't fill in the other details in the portal. So I went in there and placed random information and waited to see if the controller would reflect the same. Sadly, that obviously wasn't the details that populates that field . . .
-
I have no words . . .
-
What is the intended purpose of the *More Info* button in the Admin Console? As pressing it simply launches a web page with nothing but a blue page.
-
Your awesome and you know it! [emoji5][emoji4][emoji38] In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.

I have noted using the portal sometimes causes the following error messages to appear while using the HAD interface. Not sure why this happens but wanted to report it, if it wasn't known.
