Cannot enable internet access after 2.8.16 firmware upgrade
Hello rt3821, sorry I missed your last post. It should be back up. Zick, UPnP is not very reliable for what you are trying to do. I recommend doing it manually. With kind regards, Michel

ISY showing v.00 for most devices
Hello Zick, I am not sure what you are referring to. What LeeG is saying is that if you DELETE a device from ISY, then ISY DELETES all links from it. If you have devices that have never been registered and then deleted from ISY, then you can use those options during linking/registration of the device to ISY. With kind regards, Michel

Better to enable/disable program or have it check flag?
Hello Peter, If you use status, then the only time the program runs is if the status changes. As far as your other question, it's really subjective. Both approaches have the same efficiency. With kind regards, Michel

Moving ISY-99i to new installation
Hello Ski, I think it's best to start fresh with a new installation mostly because of the size of your installation. To backup your ISY programs, Right mouse click on My Programs and then choose Export. With kind regards, Michel

Do not make adjustments to linked/attach devices...
Hello IM, Thank you. Sincere apologies for tardy reply. So, in essence, when these query programs are run (which turn on a few buttons on KPLs), the progress bar does not behave properly. Now, is it possible that when the devices within the status scenes are updated, you have programs that do things based on the status of those devices? I really do not think the problem is the status programs itself BUT it's the result of thereof which is probably causing a range of other device activities/querying, etc. With kind regards, Michel

motion sensors not recognized after network module installed
Hello johnnyt, This usually points to a defective PLM (unless you actually factory reset your PLM yourself). If you restore the same PLM, then in most cases (if nothing has changed), ISY does not touch the end devices. It simply recreates PLM links as it thinks the PLM should have it. With kind regards, Michel

motion sensors not recognized after network module installed
Hello johnnyt, Please go to Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Link Table, click on Start and then wait for it to complete. When done, click on the Count button. How many links are there and how many devices/scenes do you have? With kind regards, Michel

Moving ISY-99i to new installation
Hi ski2020, My recommendation is to start with a new installation and a new PLM. Keep the old PLM in tact for backup. Also, backup only your programs, restore them and then updated them based on the new devices. This way, you are not bound by having to use the same device/location combination in the new house. BTW: congratulations on your new house! With kind regards, Michel

Do not make adjustments to linked/attach devices...
Hello IM, Can you copy/paste your status program? Progress bar is the best guess based on the number of operations on the queue and average time it takes to complete them. With every addition of commands, the number should increase and thus the progress bar might go multiple times. With kind regards, Michel

Circuit Breaker and 3 Phase Control
Hello Brignolo, I am not aware of any INSTEON device that can control HIDs or circuit breakers. The closest one is the 270 load controller but I am not sure how it would behave if it needed to control breakers. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.1.4 (Beta) Is Now Available
Hi Illusion, The errors are benign ... I really do not know what supports beep except those that explicitly have beep in their title. SWLs have gone through many revisions which have made tracking capabilities rather difficult. You might want to try Beep command on them and see if they beep. With kind regards, Michel

Sending a message to a second RS232 PLM
Hi Lee, Thank you and apologies for not reading your post more thoroughly. Yes, that does make sense ... as you said, the main problem is that we do not yet support PLM as a device so the messages received will be discarded since we do not know what to do with them. Thanks as always and with kind regards, Michel

Release 3.1.4 (Beta) Is Now Available
Hello ryarber, Thanks so very much. There's indeed a bug where Irrigation Requirement is over-written by WB update if and only if they happen at the same time. This has been fixed for 3.1.5. This said, please note the following: Waits are interruptible. This means that if Irrigation Cycle changes in any shape or form such that the condition: - Is set to false, then the rest of the program will NOT run. The program stops at the Wait - Is set to true, then the program RESTARTS from the beginning So, it's best for Irrigation Complete to be the last entry in the Then. With kind regards, Michel

Sending a message to a second RS232 PLM
Hello coder96, As LeeG suggested, you cannot do that on the INSTEON network with ISY especially if you just want to send random "text" which is not supported by PLM commands that I know of. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.1.4 (Beta) Is Now Available
Hello wrj0/Jim, Yes, this should be an easy fix. I do apologize for not catching it before. Illusion, As you note, both devices are getting the same messages while one is responding and the other is not. This is curious since I cannot fathom how your SWLs without Beep ever responded to Backlight. What I am going to do is to put the same logic as 2.8.16 for 2476S (new one) in the next release. I am not sure if this is going to work since it's against the APIs as provided to us. But, at the moment, I do not think we have a choice. With kind regards, Michel

Some Isy programming questions
Hello aweaver, Have you tried the Programs Details tab? You can generate the same type of XML that Admin Console sends to ISY via some other app. But, you will have to be well versed with Web Services/SOAP. The main issue is that every program requires a unique key that you will have to generate based on all the programs already in ISY. To see the XML generated by the Admin Console, simply right mouse click on one of the programs and then choose Export. Once that's done, you can open the exported file with a text editor. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.1.4 (Beta) Is Now Available
Hello again wrj0, Was going through the code and realized that the only way this could be a bug is if you use Metric as the unit of measure for your WB. Is this the case? With kind regards, Michel

Do not make adjustments to linked/attach devices...
Hello IndyMike, For X10 traffic, we do add a delay but we do not wait for a query (status request) response. So, would you please elaborate what you are seeing? With kind regards, Michel

Do not make adjustments to linked/attach devices...
Hello kingwr, It means that it's best to not try to turn on/off devices or make any other changes to the links between devices. With kind regards, Michel

What's in 3.1.17 (Official)
Hello Illusion, You do need 3.1.4 without which ISY considers this device a generic responder. With kind regards, Michel

Hello wrj0, Sincere apologies for not paying close attention to what you were saying. This must be a bug and it shall be fixed in the next drop. Again, my apologies. With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.1.4 (Beta) Is Now Available
Hello ryarber, That's the problem with Irrigation Requirement: if it's a negative number, it simply shows zero. I think we have to fix this so that it shows the negative values. I have already explained this situation in this post at the bottom: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6452&start=255 With kind regards, Michel
