Hi wacvmd, Actually, I do think the problem is 2.7.7 ... in 2.7.7, we assumed that you the temp directory would be the one that Java uses. This is not the case in Windows 7 and some other configurations. Please do be kind enough to try 2.7.11. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Rob, I would not worry about the address: one is ISY formatted the other is INSTEON formatted. If you were following this procedure: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... ransmitter And, you did not hear the beep, then I suspect there's something wrong either with the Remote Code you are trying to teach IRLinc or the IRLinc itself. Please note that you have to Factory Reset your IRLinc TX before attempting this procedure. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Raman, I do share your disappointment especially since it does not make sense logically: if one has mutual exclusive buttons, what difference would it make how they are activated? I think Mark's suggestion is good. The only thing that bothers me is that how would one know which KPL initiated the sequence? With kind regards, Michel

Hi aLf, This is quite strange! Actually, 2.7.7 fixed a long standing HTTPS issue we had with iPhones. So, the problem seems to be isolated to HTTPS/iPhone/Scene combination, correct? Would you be kind enough to try HTTP/iPhone (LAN)/Scene and let me know if that works? With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Raman, The issue is this: 1. Button Groupings and Mutual Exclusivity are only available locally (if you turn on a sub button remotely via a scene, none of the groupings work) 2. You cannot turn OFF a sub button for another KPL if the command you send is On (unlike devices with loads) So, in effect, your KPL 2 buttons in the scene will all turn on as soon as anything in that scene is turned on. As far as I know, the only way to rectify this is with programs. This is quite unfortunate but I really do not see any way around this. With kind regards, Michel

Hi tummalarb, Apologies for the inconvenience. The next time it happens, would you be kind enough to try the HTML page and see if you can turn anything on/off? In short, we need to figure out if the problem is in the Admin Console/Java or ISY. With kind regards, Michel

Hi cwilli, Thanks so very much!!! These are indeed the same symptoms as what we have seen. Thankfully, we have our own operating system and thus can make the necessary changes. The only issue is that we have to make sure this change is not going to break anything else. In any case, please do send me (tech@universal-devices.com) and email so that you will be put on the list for testing the firmware as soon as we have it implemented. Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel

Firmware 2.7.11 ALPHA Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Thanks so very much. I will have to upgrade to 10.6 ... the main issue is that it's very difficult for us to debug if we cannot reproduce. My Windows 7 is actually running in Parallel's in MAC ... With kind regards, Michel -
Hi cwilli, thanks so very much for the update. Hi murrolems, Actually, it would be quite fantastic if anyone with Verizon FIOS/ActionTec routers could capture the network traffic from ISY and an email client. Since none of us at UDI have Verzion FIOS, it would be quite impossible for us to debug this issue. Rest assured that we are committed in getting this resolved and with your help, we can achieve this goal. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Rob, What is your ISY's firmware version? If not 2.7.11, I strongly recommend it. With kind regards, Michel

Hi, thanks so very much for the update. I am using MAC OS 10.5 and I do not have this issue. What version of MAC are you using? With kind regards, Michel -
Hi jrevitch, As long as you can send it network packets, then it should be compatible. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Steve, Thanks. Does INSTEON work? And, to be clear, if you open the Event Viewer (on level 3), you see the X10 commands going out, correct? Also, during the time when X10 commands cannot be sent, can you still hear them (in the event viewer) if sent by another device? With kind regards, Michel

Remove Insteon Device without Causing a Comms Error?
Michel Kohanim replied to gwarthur's topic in ISY994
Hi gwarthur, Yes, in 2.7.7 and above, right mouse click on the device and then click on Disable. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Steve, Thanks so very much for the feedback. Do you reboot the ISY or both ISY and the PLM? Also, what is your PLM version? With kind regards, Michel

Firmware 2.7.11 ALPHA Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi wwat, Unfortunately you cannot since the Motion Sensors do not respond to an IDReq command. That's why you cannot add them using Auto Discover and that's why you cannot get the firmware version out of them. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi CJVann, You should be able to click on the controller button (say D) and then slide the slider for C to Off. With kind regards, Michel

Firmware 2.7.11 ALPHA Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi CJVann, Wow, that's quite odd. That is indeed a problem since the whole point of JNLP is that you would not have to download it as long as it has not changed. What operating system do you have? With kind regards, Michel Java temporary disk space is set to 1000M, and I just did a "Delete Files" earlier today, and a few days before that (both boxes checked). I'm running 2.7.11. It opens the console okay, the only issue is that it keeps telling me there's an update. -
Correct Correct. All you have to do is to make sure they are NOT listed in My Lighting. If you have add communications errors where some of your devices still have the green 0101 icons, then you would want to make sure all of them are written and that you do not have any green icons. With kind regards, Michel

Firmware 2.7.11 ALPHA Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi CJ, This will happen if your Java cache is FULL! In short, Java cannot cache the file and as such it keeps asking you to download it. You might want to increase the total cache size. With kind regards, Michel -
Mark, I am totally lost as to what your question is. If you have any left over links in your ISY, i.e. if ISY thinks there are still devices registered in ISY, then restore PLM is going to write them to the PLM. If you are absolutely certain that all your devices HAVE BEEN REMOVED then you do not have to worry about it. With kind regards, Michel Okay, I understand this part. But it doesn't (I think) answer my question. Expanding the quote a bit and restating my question: What do you mean by your earlier statement "As long as you do not have any links in your ISY" in this context? Seems to indicate that there must be no links in the ISY before it can write ISY's links to the PLM. What am I missing here? Thanks, --Mark
-
Hi Mark, ISY maintains a copy of all the linkages between all your devices and the PLM. Restore Modem is going to use this information and recreate the links in the PLM. With kind regards, Michel Sorry for being dense here, but what do you mean by "links in your ISY"? The rest makes sense to me. Thanks, --Mark
-
Hi Mark, Yes. As long as you do not have any links in your ISY, the PLM is first factory reset and then all active links are written back to it. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Mark, What firmware version did you use to remove your SWLs? File | Restore Modem (PLM) fixes all these issues but please make sure you either use 2.7.7 or 2.7.11 if you so choose to perform this operation. With kind regards, Michel
