How To: Enable Internet Access
Hi Jason, Also, with releases 2.6.5 and above no longer do you need /0/x at the end of the URL. So, as mike suggested, your URL will be https://your.server.ip.address With kind regards, Michel

I/O Linc setup
Hi Gary, In addition to Rand's suggestion, can you tell me what options are set on your IOLinc (click on the Set Options button). With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.15 (RC1) is now available
Hi Peter, Thanks so very much for the detailed explanations and tests. Based on your results, I am almost confident that it's not the CL but the location of the CL with respect to the problematic devices. I do recommend a couple more access points to boost the signal. With kind regards, Michel

Problem adding an outletlinc...
Hi jgann, Ok, that nullifies my theory! Any other anomalies? With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.15 (RC1) is now available
Hi Zellarman, When you login using your local wireless, please go to Help->About and check the IP address against the one you have in your iPod. Please make sure they are the same. With kind regards, Michel I disabled then enabled internet access again, no change. What's also odd is local wireless access works w/ my laptop, but not I-pod touch.

Control ANY action?
Hello gregoryx, yes, precisely ... With kind regards, Michel I wouldn't say I "know" that... but that's what I was suspecting. So it'd look like this: If Control 'Dining' is switched On Or Control 'Dining' is switched Off Or Control 'Dining' is switched Fast On Or Control 'Dining' is switched Fast Off Or Control 'Dining' is switched Fade Up Or Control 'Dining' is switched Fade Down Or Control 'Dining' is switched Fade Stop Or Control 'Dining' is switched Bright Or Control 'Dining' is switched Dim Then - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Right?

I/O Linc setup
Hello Gary, Momentary A mode turns the relay on momentarily and then it's back to off (ISY does not report the correct status). Did you try Rand's suggestion: With kind regards, Michel

Control ANY action?
Hi gregoryx, good point. This is not there right now. I'll add it to our list. I am sure you already know that you can use OR for all those actions (very time consuming). Thanks and with kind regards, Michel

Problem adding an outletlinc...
Hi jgann, Apologies for a tardy reply ... this is amazing but, needing an answer for everything myself, I think I can explain it if and only if you have upgraded your ISY recently. Is this the case? With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.15 (RC1) is now available
Hello dss, Thanks for the explanation. Actually, if your wife uses the master button, then the IOLinc will turn off BUT ISY does not know it's off. Now, if the master switch is turned back on, the IOLinc might remain off and ISY still thinks it's ON. petesc2, Would you be kind enough to do the following test: Please move your CL very close to the affected SWL and retry. If it still fails, then move one of your access points next to the SWL and retry. I do think you can solve these problems with more access points. But, I cannot be sure unless we do the above test Zellarman, Have you setup your Internet Access manually or via File|Enable Internet Access? If latter, please try disabling and enabling again. If former, then, in all likelihood your ISY's IP address has changed and thus please do make sure your router is updated with ISY's new IP address (I strongly recommend using a static IP address for ISY). With kind regards, Michel

Hop Count Diagnostics
Hi dss, Excellent suggestions ... we do have more diagnostics capabilities in mind but I do not think we will include them in 2.7. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.15 (RC1) is now available
Hi dss, Umm, so, this means that if you turn off the wall switch, the relay will also turn off without ISY knowing that it's off. Even if you turn it back on, the relay still remains off. Right? I am so very sorry for all these questions: I have not been able to reproduce this except for setting the Momentary Mode. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.15 (RC1) is now available
dss, I think I may have found the problem: Perhaps your unit is somehow in Momentary A mode. This means that the relay turn on momentarily and then turns off (but it never reports its status back to ISY). Can you do me a favor please? Would you be kind enough to turn on your device and make sure it does NOT turn off momentarily? With kind regards, Michel No it is not checked. Should it be? I have no idea what all these options are. The ones that are checked are: Trigger Off LED on TX The ones unchecked are: Program Lock Relay Follows Input Send X10 Send On (or Off) Momentary: A Momentary: Look at Sensor Moementary: Both

KeypadLink - All Off Button
Hello Steve, I just tested this and you are 100% correct: 1. The controller flashes 2 times before actually sending the off group command. this is 100% normal for any non-toggle button (for toggle buttons, everything is instantaneous) 2. The responders turn off with a delay the duration of which is equal to the length of time it takes for the button to blink twice 3. Functionally, everything works as programmed Now, what worries me the most is that the blinking non-toggle button is THE NORMAL behavior where as what HouseLinc does, to me, is not normal. So, perhaps they possess some secret ingredient that we have not been privy to but I seriously doubt it since memory locations and semantics for KPLs are pretty well established. In summary, I am so very sorry that I cannot be of further assistance since the devices are behaving in a manner in which I deem normal ... I really wished I could have a better answer for you. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.15 (RC1) is now available
Hi dss, Thanks so very much for the details. One last question: Did you not expect to see that status when you first started the Admin Console and that's why you queried it to make sure? In essence, I am trying to figure out if the IOLinc sent a group command that ISY mistook for the output (instead of input). With kind regards, Michel It is the output. The input isn't connected to anything. The output connects to the fireplace dry contact control (normally closed). I have it included in one scene that includes two Controlincs (button #4) that turn it on/off. I also have a program that turns it off at 1:30am.

Release 2.6.15 (RC1) is now available
Hello dss, Thanks so very much for the feedback. We will get right on it. Is it the output or the input that has the wrong state? If the output, is it in any other scenes? If the input, is it controlling a scene? With kind regards, Michel

Can't get notifications through aol or gmail.....
sorka, would you be kind enough to use the account settings in the previous post and let me know? You can also look in your logs for errors starting with -5000x. They will give me clues as to what's causing the problems you are experiencing. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.14 beta is now available
Hello sorka, Here are the answers to your questions: 1. Yes, during full restore, the battery operated devices (RL and Sensor) are restored first 2. Auto discover does not work since the motion sensor does not respond to ID Req (for some reason) 3. You can remove a device regardless of its state. ISY will try 3 times to communicate and then it will remove it from ISY With kind regards, Michel

Can't get notifications through aol or gmail.....
Hi sorka, Why is it smtp.aol.com if you are trying gmail? The first thing you have to do is to ENABLE POP in your gmail account without which nothing will work. If you wish, you can test using the following account: server: smtp.gmail.com port: 587 user id: isyalerts@gmail.com password: holamola from: anything TLS: checked I am not sure why ISY does not work with AOL especially if it uses regular auth login. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.15 (RC1) is now available
Hello Dave, This is indeed odd since, just to make sure, I reinstalled 2.6.15 on my ISY26 and it shows the correct version. Would you be kind enough to telnet to ISY, issue VE and let me know the results? If it shows 2.6.14 then it was not upgraded correctly. With kind regards, Michel

Programming an All Off button on a KeypadLinc
Hi steve_p, Within the scene, click on button D. To your right, change the onlevel for the load of the same KPL to 2% and NOT 0. This is a firmware issue and 2% is the workaround. With kind regards, Michel
