  1. Any thoughts on what ZW 002, 3, & 4 are?
  2. @MrBill I have 2 Z-wave repeaters somewhere in this myriad of boxes! LOL
  3. Another data point. I just moved ZW 006 to an outlet at the top of the basement stairs. The admin console immediately showed it ready. I could turn the light on and off. ZW 005 still had the red !. As soon as I did a query on ZW 005, ZW 006 went back to the red ! too!
  4. So we moved and I'm getting out of INSTEON moving to Z-ware (presumably). I did a factory reset on my ISY994i to start from scratch and loaded the Z-wave only 5.3.4 firmware. I tried adding my first Z-wave smart plug from my iMac with my ISY downstairs. It didn't find it. Then I read the smart tips and it said always define a new device close to the ISY. So I took my laptop downstairs right next to my ISY and it found the new device right away! Great. I got a 2 pack of these smart plugs so I did the 2nd one and it added right away too. I thought I was golden. Then I brought both plugs back up to my office and plugged them and logged back into the admin console on my iMac. It cannot reach the plugs! See attached screenshot. The plugs are ZW 005 and 006. The plugs are Ministon Z-wave plugs that are repeaters too. The smart tips said I could move them anywhere after getting them added but that is not working. Also I have no idea with ZW 002, 003, & 004 are. Ideas on that?
  5. Sorry @lilyoyo1 it's been a while since I've done much with my ISY. It just ran and I didn't have to think about it. Now, moving to a new home and with getting out of INSTEON, it's taking me a bit to jump back in.
  6. One other question: I'm thinking I should probably do a factory reset on my entire ISY994i/Z-wave combo since we're in a new house and I'm getting off of INSTEON. I think I should start clean. Agree?
  7. @Javi thanks. I've looked for the Z-wave firmware in the wiki and can't find it. Can anyone point me to it? Also, my Z-wave version is 6.81.00. Is that still current? Not sure if I need an upgrade or not. I added this Z-wave daughter card to my ISY994i a while ago. Thanks!!
  8. This may be a dumb question but with INSTEON going away, can I use my ISY994i with the Z-wave daughter card to simply be a Z-wave controller? We just moved from our house to a condo and I don't really want to go through the INSTEON installation process based on the company's status. I don't think I need the PLM to control Z-wave devices do I? I'm obviously a novice in the Z-wave world and am sad that INSTEON is going away. (Maybe some other company will swoop in and buy them and keep it alive. One can hope,). I also have a Honeywell Lyric Security Controller in the Condo we bought which also does Z-wave so maybe I can just use that? Thanks for any help/guidance.
  9. @MrBill Thanks for your patience. This is just more complicated than I can do. As long as the T-mobile notifications are working, I'll just stick with those. Again, many thanks.
  10. @MrBillnot to be a nube but can you point me to what you're referring to above as "Network Resources"? Thanks.
  11. @SLP sorry. @Geddy answered better than I ever could have. Just as a side note, I had not saved my change to point to @tmomail.net which is why it was not working. Once I changed it AND saved it, my notifications are working again.
  12. Does Pushover need a Polisy installed to work? Sorry but this is not a simple installation process. The wiki instructions assume a lot I think. I guess I'll keep playing with the simple texting or change to email notifications which seem to work.
  13. Duh, never mind. I see the UD app now. My bad.
  14. @MrBill for Pushover, do I create an E-Mail Gateway app? I don't see a specific ISY app in their list of apps.
  15. Thanks @lilyoyo1! I knew it had to be there. Just couldn't find it. Much appreciated.
  16. One other data point. If I send an email to 616XXXXXXX@tmomail.net, I get the text. It just doesn't work from my ISY program.
  17. I looked in the wiki but couldn't find the meaning of a program showing up in the Detail view with a red bar on the left of the icon. Green I know. Solid green I know. Icon with the red circle and slash I know. But I can't find red bar. What does that mean? Thanks.
  18. I just changed cell providers to T-Mobile and I noticed my text alerts were not coming through any more. I went into the Configuration page of my ISY994i and edited the text address. I selected T-Mobile from the drop down list and I think it wanted me to put in an address that was my 10-digit phone number followed by "@tmomail.net". So I have 616XXXXXXX@tmomail.net but it's not working. What am I missing? Thanks.
  19. One of my 1st gen INSTEON motion sensors was giving me a low battery signal. I changed the battery which was about 14 months old with a new 9V battery. But the motion sensor still has the low battery as ON. How do I clear this? Thanks.
  20. Can I somehow search my ISY database by INSTEON device address? I would like to do this when I am looking at an unused INSTEON device and I don't know if I've added to the ISY or not. Also, how about searching ISY by scene number which is Alexa gives you when you look at how something is defined in the Alexa app.
  21. @MrBill so I ended up calling it "great room" in the spoken command and it works fine. Best compromise I could come up with. At least it works. Thanks for sticking with me on this one.
  22. @MrBill OK I'm getting closer. For grins, I deleted the scene LR Lighting from Alexa and re-added it. This time I gave it the spoken command of "blueberry". Now when I tell Alexa to turn blueberry on, it works! So does the off command. There is some sort of problem/conflict with the phrase Living Room. Not sure how to figure out what it is.
  23. I added another program to turn the scene off and gave it the spoken command of "living room off". It also works but it's confusing because you have to say "Alexa Living Room Off On". Ugh.
  24. Here's another possible data point. I just created a 1 line program that set the LR Lighting scene to On. I added this program through the ISY Portal interface to Alexa. I gave it a spoken word of "testing". I told Alexa to turn on testing and all 4 lights came on.
