All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
I just cleared the Java cache, downloaded the start.jnlp from the wiki and have the same result. The admin console cannot connect to any device - INSTEON or Z-wave. Is anyone here running MacOS Ventura successfully with ISY994i?

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
This is a follow-on question to this topic. My repaired PLM had been working fine... until today. Programs were working, voice commands thru Alexa were working, etc. What has changed? I updated my Mac to MacOS Ventura 13.3 this morning. Now all my devices including Z-wave devices are unreachable thru the Admin Console. Is this a Ventura issue? Is the PLM used in communicating with Z-wave devices? Ideas?

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
So as soon as I put the Echo back in the original outlet, the events started again. On the different outlet, no events so it must be the physical outlet. I'm going to try replacing it and see what happens. It's just a plain outlet, not a GFI, so it's a cheap attempt at a fix.

The PLM is on a different circuit already.

Well, still no events so I'm going to move the Echo back to the original outlet and see if the events start up again. If they do, it must be the outlet itself? Could it still be the power supply even though it's not generating events now on a different outlet?

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
So I had the events start showing up again so I once again moved my Echo to a different outlet. The Events stopped and haven't returned. I'm going to leave it for 24 hours. If the events don't return, I'll move the Echo back to the original outlet and see if the events come back. If they do, it must be that outlet rather than the Echo I'm guessing. We'll see.

Which Z-wave Plug is it?
I will be doing that from now on.

Which Z-wave Plug is it?
So for my Insteon devices, I can look at the address and then find that device in my control panel. Z-Wave devices have no address on them. When I'm looking at a Z-wave outlet I'm not currently using, how do I know which one it is in my control panel?

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
OK this is odd. To test your idea @MrBill I moved the Amazon Echo device I had plugged into a downstream outlet last night because with the GFI popped, the other outlet was dead. So I moved the Echo to a different plug on our kitchen counter. No events in the event viewer this morning. So I wondered was it my Echo causing the events. I reset the GFI this morning and no events! I moved the Echo back to the downstream outlet and ... no events!! Everything is back the way it was when it was logging X10 events every second or so and now nothing, it's clean. I don't get it. Good news is I don't have to replace the GFI. Bad news is I have no idea what was causing the events and why they stopped.

OK, I had to go through the breakers. I found the circuit that was causing the issue. It was the kitchen GFI circuit. There are 2 GFI outlets in the kitchen. I tested both and found the GFI receptacle that is causing these events. When I preset the Test button on this device, the events stop. When I reset the GFI, they start again. I assume I should replace this GFI as these events may interfere with ISY/PLM/Device communication? Should I leave this GFI popped out till I can replace it?

What if I disable all my devices in the Admin console and then start enabling them 1 by 1. Can I isolate that way? Turning off breakers while effective is a little disruptive to the house.

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
So a follow-up report... I sent my PLM into INSTEON for repairs and I got it back yesterday. I am once again able to communicate with my INSTEON devices which is great. Thanks INSTEON for repairing it since I could not buy a new one. But one follow-on question is what are these log events in the attached file? When on type 1 events, these just keep scrolling on by. Is this normal behavior? ISY-Events-Log.v5.3.4__Sun 2023.03.19 07.54.58 AM.txt

I sent my PLM into INSTEON for repairs. We'll try that first. Thanks for all the help.

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
OK, so a couple of things. My 2nd PLM was an older one that I had repaired by a friend after it died and I got a new one. I never tested it so I'm not certain it was actually ever working. I tried putting it and a known good INSTEON lamplinc into the same power strip and it could not communicate to it. So I put the original PLM (i.e. my newest one) back into the power strip, did a restore PLM and rebooted the ISY. Still no communication. I'm attaching the error log and event log from this last operation. But I think I'm going to try sending this PLM into INSTEON for their repair service and see if that fixes it. I'd buy a new PLM but they don't have any. ISY Error Log.v5.3.4__Mon 2023.03.06 09.17.10 AM.txt ISY-Events-Log.v5.3.4__Mon 2023.03.06 09.16.17 AM.txt

The PLM does show connected. Both of them have shown that. I will open a ticket and see if they can help.

Here is the error log as well. Doesn't mean much to me. ISY Error Log.v5.3.4__Sun 2023.03.05 09.59.52 AM.txt

I turned it on to level 3 and there are a couple of memory failures. See attached. Does that help? ISY-Events-Log.v5.3.4__Sun 2023.03.05 09.54.07 AM.txt

It might be. But the INSTEON store is out of stock of PLMs so I'm stuck for the time being.

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
I have an old 2GB micro SD memory card in the ISY994. I tried pulling that out and then powering back up but the error light on the ISY just kept flashing and it would not boot up. I put the card back and restarted and it boots up again. The Tx/Rx lights flash frequently but no communication still exists to the INSTEON devices. I'm about out of ideas.

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
@DennisC thanks but I don't see that any of those tips apply because this was all working before. This is not a new set up. I tried replacing the ethernet cable to from the ISY to the PLM and that didn't help either. My automation days with INSTEON look to be done. Even the new eisy needs a PLM.

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
I did the PLM replace and no change in status. None of the INSTEON devices are reachable. Something else must be going on. I even tried deleting a previously working LampLinc and tried to re-add it. It says something about unknown engine and quits. There is a communication problem and I'm not sure it is the PLM since it behaves the same on 2 different PLMs. But right now, all my INSTEON devices are dead.

UI & Firmware at 5.3.4. See attached. I had another backup PLM which I tried connecting. The ISY sees it when I rebooted and said it was connected. The PLM links table was only 10 long compared to the 175 on my original PLM. Does it still sound like a PLM issue?
-
All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
The green light is ON. When I check the PLM status, it says it's connected. There are 175 links shown in the PLM links table. Could it still be dead?

All INSTEON Devices Not Reachable
I tried to restore several different devices. After I click OK to the message about how long it will take, nothing happens. The device stays with red !. No errors pop up. Nothing.
