I did a factory reset and wrote the updates to the device. It now seems to respond to correct ramp rates and specific percentages. Thank you for the help. It's an old KPL and the Air Gap tab is worn off. I had to take the keypad off to pull it out. I think I'll buy a spare KPL just in case.

I did run a Sync on the mobile as I noticed it wasn't the same as the UD GUI I will try what you and Paul mentioned on Friday when I'm off work and can focus on the issues. Thank you both for replying. I'll reply back Friday with my findings Drew

The KPL goes to 100% instantly when told to turn on any other percentage. I also have the ramp rate set to 2 seconds and it just goes immediately on or off. If I ask it to go to a certain percentage it doesn't nothing. On the iPhone app it goes to different percentages immediately regardless of ramp rate. I've just upgraded and combed through everything so I'm not sure what is wrong here. The device doesn't react to the scene even though the GUI does

First off, @Michel Kohanim as usual did a fantastic job helping me through a failing PLM (and thus a corrupt backup) and upgrading to the EISY. I had a bit of work (mostly cleanup) to do to get my system back up and running but its back 100% Now that I have the EISY is there a place on the forum that shows me what new possibilities I can now access (now or in the future)? Thank you again Michel. Great product but more importantly great service. Andrew

I've tried that. I'm trying again and I'll post back when I have the results

I'm still where I was with what I thought was a bad PLM with my previous ISY. Scenes arent triggering properly, the GUI doesn't reflect the actual condition of the devices half the time. I've isolated everything and still cant get it back. Any help is greatly appreciated. That being said I realize it's vague at best to troubleshoot this. I've been at it for weeks and replacing the ISY and PLM was my last resort. I tried to add a SWL that gave me issues and I get this error message. I've not seen that before When I tried to push the air gap tab in to have the GUI recognize the device I'm trying to link it didn't show up so I typed in the address and got that error

Online. Rebooted from the Portal. (I need to think of that first before I ask but for some reason I go to the GUI and the app first)
-
I've approved it and I'm not online yet. It says to reboot but I cant as the ISY says its not online to reboot. Do I just unplug it and plug it in (plugging in the PLM first and waiting and then plugging in the EISY)

Wired devices as well as battery I picked a back up from last year in hopes it would not be corrupted Am i looking at redoing everything or selecting Restore device for everything?
-
I see a UUID under About on the GUI but it says ISY beside it, not EISY
-
Stupid me. I was looking on the GUI itself. I'm unclear what my EISY's UUID is?
-
I've switched and it said ISY is now offline. I'm not sure how to get the EISY online with my portal

Hi guys, I've just switched over to EISY and am still working through the bugs Theres a million (maybe not that many) WRITE UPDATES TO DEVICE icons beside a lot of the insteon stuff. I've been right clicking and writing updates. I have two questions 1) Is there a faster way to do this? 2) Sometimes more often than not it still leaves the icon to write updates. Are there more updates or is there a problem writing the updates to the device?

Eisy and USB PLM ordered! I’m looking forward to the new features I hope to use with the upgrade I’m hoping a clean start will clear up these issues. I know it’ll be a bumpy ride getting the Eisy set up well as I’m backing up from a failing PLM (we’re assuming) I’m thanking the forum ahead of time for the onslaught of questions and help I will have and need probably this weekend. I’ve warned my wife that there will be a disruption in service for the next little bit. it looks like the usb PLM is printer port usb?

So I’ve isolated everything that I can think of. I don’t know what else it could be. I apologize for not waiting for responses here but I’m trying to troubleshoot as fast as I can. Aartech up here is having a sale and I wanted to know what the issue is before I bought more gear and found I still have the same problem. I’m guessing the PLM is losing its pep. If everyone here agrees then I’ll order the new one today. I’ll get a usb PLM and the new eisy because I’m due to upgrade. thoughts?

I might have mentioned it before but the state of the ISY isn’t always what the state of the devices are. a scene will trigger but some lights won’t be on. When I look at the app or the computer gui it says it’s on. So when I tell Alexa to turn it on she says okay but of course she believes it’s on already and doesn’t fix the issue. I might have to isolate the evo lux light bulb I bought recently but I don’t think that’s the issue as the problems have been going on longer than that. any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated Andrew

I've gone through the links you sent (I stopped at Step 5. I check the the PLM status and it seemed to pop up just fine with the version number) I tried the Event viewer level 3 and it seemed to work on devices that give me no issues. I also removed the devices that weren't talk to the ISY anyway and when I go to re add them I get this No pop up with the device address I usually see. I cant open a ticket as I don't have the EISY yet. I have to order the PLM but as you mentioned above if its noise a new PLM (serial or USB) won't help. So I'm not sure where to go from here. Any other thoughts?
-
I have to isolate one more thing before I can decide it’s a PLM issue or a noise issue. what is the method to see if the PLM is dying.?
-
Sorry for nudging the post. Just looking for an answer so I can buy the rosy etc. it’s on sale at aartech up here right now.
-
So get the serial PLM, order the cable and the Eisy and I’m good for everything? they have the usb PLM in stock and the serial is a week or so behind. I can wait if that’s what you suggest. is the serial better than the usb? I’m not sure what you mean by starting over again?
-
Will it be different when I buy the EISY?
-
I’m going to order a PLM today. I believe I want the 2413S Dual Band Serial PLM correct?
-
Also when I try to add a device (swl) and push the tab button in it doesn't show up on the ISY GUI
-
If I click on the "write updates to device" on anything the GUI goes through its thing and then the "write updates" icon is still there. I'm assuming its not writing updates to the devices. The devices that I either replaced or air gapped aren't reachable with the ISY (red exclamation mark that persists) As above, some devices/scenes/ programs are spotty as far as doing what they should. Is there a way to check to see if the PLM is indeed failing before I keep going through the house figuring out what else could be producing line noise?
