Thank you very much for this. My complaint is other automatic openers are wifi and don't work all the time because the garage is about 200-250 ft away from the house. This seems like a plug in direct to the power so it should be as reliable as I've always found other insteon devices, correct?
-
I see the IOLinc is still sold but the garage door 'wires and magnet' don't seem to come with it. Could you describe how you hooked it up to your garage opener?

Restore Device seems to have worked. I should have know to do that first. Thank you everyone that helped here

I changed it to switched as opposed to on. I also tried watching the GUI and it did show it was running once but I cant seem to make that happen again. Should I try to restore the device?

I've done some YouTubing on Yolink and it looks exactly like what I'm hoping for, as long as it's rock solid. I have the same sort of thing but a cheaper one called REFOSS. It sometimes opens and other times not. I' haven't found where I can add it to Alexa but it seems to say it does have that capability
-
Right now my setup is a Harmony hub that I give commands to through Alexa devices and going to the AV gear (receivers, apple tvs, blu ray players, fire sticks, etc) I've just checked out Global Cache and I have some reading to do. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems they are trying to be able to connect anything to anything? Like Harmony but with a wider range of devices and possibilities?

Bathroom Fan - [ID 0022][Parent 0001] If 'Bathroom Fan' Status is On Then Wait 1 minute Set 'Bathroom Fan' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I changed it to one minute solely for testing purposes yesterday
-
I have a simple program that basically says if the bathroom fan has been on for 25 minutes it’ll shut off. This has worked forever until I’ve switched to Eisy. I tried editing the program to ‘renew’ it but no luck. I’m thinking on just deleting the program and redoing it but I thought I’d ask here if there’s some other way I should do it.

I have two 'smart home' (amazon wifi devices) garage door openers that pick and choose when to work. Is there a wired solution for someone with an Insteon and EISY setup? The garage doors are fairly far away so the wifi is the culprit. If I had a hardwired device I'm thinking it would fix my woes.

Last night telling Alexa to "turn on Apple tv downstairs" or "Turn On Apple TV Upstairs" resulted in her not doing anything and telling me the hub wasn't available (something like that) It seems to be fine today but I know Harmony is a thing of the past and we are lucky to have it running this long. Can I natively add AV equipment into the EISY and create a 'scene' that essentially turns on the gear like Harmony does? I have the scenes as a routine that turns on the gear, sets each piece to the correct setting, and changes the Insteon lighting to whatever scene it should be. Just asking to prep for the inevitable...
-
Let me start by apologizing if I sound like an idiot here. I just got my EISY and have a few questions. I'm going to post them separately as no one likes multi problem posts. I have a EVO BULB from Amazon. It's okay but sometimes doesn't work. I have to make Routines that include my EISY scenes etc to use them Is there a bulb that I can add directly to my EISY like any other device?

I have noticed the KPL isnt responding again. I may just order another and replace it. Any last thoughts before I do?
-
I did a factory reset and wrote the updates to the device. It now seems to respond to correct ramp rates and specific percentages. Thank you for the help. It's an old KPL and the Air Gap tab is worn off. I had to take the keypad off to pull it out. I think I'll buy a spare KPL just in case.
-
I did run a Sync on the mobile as I noticed it wasn't the same as the UD GUI I will try what you and Paul mentioned on Friday when I'm off work and can focus on the issues. Thank you both for replying. I'll reply back Friday with my findings Drew
-
The KPL goes to 100% instantly when told to turn on any other percentage. I also have the ramp rate set to 2 seconds and it just goes immediately on or off. If I ask it to go to a certain percentage it doesn't nothing. On the iPhone app it goes to different percentages immediately regardless of ramp rate. I've just upgraded and combed through everything so I'm not sure what is wrong here. The device doesn't react to the scene even though the GUI does

First off, @Michel Kohanim as usual did a fantastic job helping me through a failing PLM (and thus a corrupt backup) and upgrading to the EISY. I had a bit of work (mostly cleanup) to do to get my system back up and running but its back 100% Now that I have the EISY is there a place on the forum that shows me what new possibilities I can now access (now or in the future)? Thank you again Michel. Great product but more importantly great service. Andrew

I've tried that. I'm trying again and I'll post back when I have the results

I'm still where I was with what I thought was a bad PLM with my previous ISY. Scenes arent triggering properly, the GUI doesn't reflect the actual condition of the devices half the time. I've isolated everything and still cant get it back. Any help is greatly appreciated. That being said I realize it's vague at best to troubleshoot this. I've been at it for weeks and replacing the ISY and PLM was my last resort. I tried to add a SWL that gave me issues and I get this error message. I've not seen that before When I tried to push the air gap tab in to have the GUI recognize the device I'm trying to link it didn't show up so I typed in the address and got that error

Online. Rebooted from the Portal. (I need to think of that first before I ask but for some reason I go to the GUI and the app first)
-
I've approved it and I'm not online yet. It says to reboot but I cant as the ISY says its not online to reboot. Do I just unplug it and plug it in (plugging in the PLM first and waiting and then plugging in the EISY)

Wired devices as well as battery I picked a back up from last year in hopes it would not be corrupted Am i looking at redoing everything or selecting Restore device for everything?
-
I see a UUID under About on the GUI but it says ISY beside it, not EISY
-
Stupid me. I was looking on the GUI itself. I'm unclear what my EISY's UUID is?
