I tried logging off and on again several times, but no luck for me. I have actually reverted back to 4.9 for the time being.

I downloaded the 2.4.11 beta and found a problem. On Program loading, all of my programs were disabled. I had to manually enable programs. In the Program Summary window, the Program Enable Button has no effect. After manually enabling my programs, in the Program Details Window, when I returned to the Program Summary window the Enabled field Status shows Off. The progam Enabled field does not show the true program status, along with the fact that the new release disables all of the Progams.

Michel, I just talked to Smart Home and they finally told me that they have upgraded the Firmware for the PLM. It was like pulling teeth. They will not upgrade my PLM because I bought it from Universal Devices when I bought my ISY (as a package). They cannot return an item that they don't have an order for. They "kind of" dropped it your lap - Sorry. What's the next step? Thanks, Clarence

I am still getting some inconsistant responses with my X10. I will get in touch with Smart Home about an updated PLM and let you know what results I get. Thanks

I need a little clarification. When is a Program's Status True? Is it only when the program is running? Or does it stay TRUE after it is run until it is reset by a Progam Stop Command? Can we have a Status State in the Progam Window as an added feature?

In my case, the PLM does flash when the X10 is sent. Having said that, I do notice that if an X10 signal is sent and there is no program for the PLM to act upon, no signal is sent via Insteon to anything. I have tested this by Sending an X10 Signal that has no program to respond to, and my Control Linc does not respond. My ISY does responds to all X10 Signals. I sometimes have to hold the button on my X10 remote for a few seconds for the PLM to respond. Again, in my case I know that all of my X10 signals go out to the line. Do the Insteon and X10 signals get processed the same way (on the Zero crossing of the sine wave, etc.) or should they be?

Have you installed any new printers or other euipment recently (Since this has happened)? My experience with X10 is that new equipment (could be a new radio or electronic equipment) plays hell on X10 signals. The problem that I have with mine is that my X10 signals are marginal at best, and I am using an external X10 receiver and booster. I mentioned in an earlier post that my most recent X10 mis-adventures was because I actually had my ISY piggy backed onto my PLM and my X10 was about 20% reliable. I had to plug the ISY into an separate plug to get things working. It's still only about 90%. I need to have even further separation. Does your PLM see the signals? I have seen that the PLM sees the signals but does not re-transmit them to the ISY or even on the Insteon network. When I get a good re-transmit from my PLM I can see the acknowledgment on my COntrol Linc Clarence

Will do it this evening. Clarence

I ran my Goodnite Program last night nd it seems like it functioned OK. I am really interested in seeing the Sunset with random time work.

My testing Update! It looks as though the ISY being piggybacked on my PLM may be sucking up my X10 signals enough to make my X10 signals ineffective. I will be testing further. This has been characteristic of X10 signals and that is why I dropped X10. It may be a matter of stategically plugging in devices so as to not interfer with what the PLM can see and respond to.

X10 Testing: I set up a test situation and here are my results: I have 2 test programs - one is triggered on an X10 On and the other is triggered ON an X10 OFF. I also have a LampLinc set to the same X10 Code. Under this scenario, I have not been able to trigger my X10 ON or X10 Off Programs. I know that I am getting X10 signals because my LampLinc responds to every pushbutton command - both On and Off. My PLM does Blink with every x10 Command, the ISY does not respond to every PLM Blink. I also have a commanLinc that seems to respond only when the PLM sends a good trigger to the ISY. I was able to get an applianceLinc to respond before.

Is this a good example of a "Timed Security" type of program? Security GoodNite Pgm If Time is 11:00:00PM Then Wait 20 minutes (Random) Set Scene 'Good Nite Scene' On Finally - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I assume that the above program will trigger the "Good Nite Scene" somewhere between 11:00 PM and 11:20 PM. The idea is to get that "Lived In" random setting for security reasons. I could also see this being used with a "Sunset" trigger and an Offset setting. Security Sunset Pgm If Time is Sunset - 15 minutes Then Wait 20 minutes (Random) Set Scene 'Sunset Scene' On Finally - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') This should then trigger the Sunet Scene between 15 Minutes before Sunset and 5 Minutes after Sunset.

Can we have different colors for the Enabled fields in the program summary window? Maybe Green for "ON" and Red for "Off".
-
I have treid the Right Click in the porgram tree and I don't get any option to copy, paste or any context menu at all.
-
So that I understan a little more...... If a Program has run, the status of that program is ON and is a toggle status that should otherwise be turned Off ? And, the status of a Scene can only be checkedby the program that calls it? Is the status of a Scene also a toggle?
-
the idea is to be able to turn the lights up to a full "ON" or some other state for a set amount of time but only if the "Good Nite" scene has been turned on, and then return the lights back to the "Good Nite" scene.
-
Here is my program sample: If Receive X10 House Code "B" Unit Code "1" Command "3 -On" And Program 'Good Nite' is False Then Set 'All On' On Wait 10 minutes Run program 'Good Nite' Finally GoodNite is a Scene but GoodNite is actually been turned on. So, can we truly track the status of a scene if it has been activated by Program content for GoodNite-0007: If Time is 10:58 PM Then Set 'GoodNite' On Finally So, I don't get the proper results if I look for a True Condition but I fi make the condition False, it works. I made sure that Good Nite was set to "ON" The idea is to only allow the temp On to work after the GoodNite Scene is active.

I have been on Vaction and I was pretty excited to see the new Beta. Thanks a bunch! I downloaded and installed the new Beta 2.5. Looks pretty good. I tried setting a program to trigger from an X10 remote and No responce. Do I need to do anything with my ISY? Do i need to have an X10 Device in my list and if so< i don't how? I have an X10 signal booster so I know that the X10 signal in on the line. When I manually run the program the progam runs - I can' seem to get an X10 trigger. By the way- Any word on the Irrigation device fixes? I had my Irrigation controller go wacky again. Semed to lock the system up and would not respond to an off command.

Sounds like a MAJOR Upgrade. Thanks for the information and I'm sure that everyone is looking forward to the release.

Mark, I'm not sure... I remember having virtual X10 devices in Homeseer and using them. It might be the same as just using a timer or scheduled event. How about time delays between devices in the Scenes?
-
theses devices could have address ranges that would not be valid. i.e. VV.01.01, VV.01.02 These addresses would be invalid for anything but Virual Devices. The VV would indicate a virtual device.
-
Michel, this is a good reason for being able to create a Virtual Device. It wold be an Insteon Device that has a virtual address and can be uesd to create such triggers. Just a thought.... Clarence

First off, let me say that I am pleased with what I see. This is by far the best use of the insteon technology so far. I have been a Homeseer user and gave up on them after installing my Insteon devices... I did not see the wealth of utilization for Insteon that I thought should be there. It was the early release, but I needed more Insteon support at that time. Micel, I have a few suggestions that I would like to see in the upcoming development Que: I would like triggers to have some Time & Date conditions. eg. when switch 1 is on and time is =< 11:00. (<, >, =, Between,) Also would there be a possibilty to have time delays between responder events and in the Schedule events? Another intersting feature would be a Trigger or a Schedule that would happen for a set time and then reverse that condition. eg: turn On Switch 1 for 15 minutes and the set it back to Off. X10 - I realize that you have been inundated with X10 request. But even if the software could just be X10 aware and able to respond to X10 triggers would be nice. I really don't need to send X10 siganls (being selfish here....Sorry). I am sure that I will come up with more, but these will do a great deal to enhance the product. I hope that these are not overwhelming request, it looks as though some of the hooks to do some of these things already exist. Thanks for a great Product and I am excited to see haw things keep growing. Clarence Martin
