I installed 2 Venstar 1700s yesterday and I'm getting a humidity reading from one of them on my ISY. It says my humidity has ranged between 85-87% in the last 12 hours. I have heard it is a false reading. If so how do I correct this? Thanks!

They are both in "Cool" mode.

I just installed 2 Venstar 1700s. Everything seems to be working fine except when I adjust the setpoint on my ISY and mobilinc the setpoint on the thermostat doesn't change. When I do a right click and query on the thermostat it just goes back to what the setpoint is on the thermostat instead of my new setpoint via my ISY or Mobilinc. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Thanks for your help! Yeah the devices are all within 40 feet of the ISY and no walls to go through. We don't have a baby monitor or cordless phones. The only thing we have that is RF is 2 remote controls and google TV...they are all 3 RF.

Oh and my devices are dual band so are powerline communication issues even possible? Seems like if the powerline was having noise or some other issue the device would know to use dual band instead. Thoughts?

No nothing changed. I woke up early and went outside before daybreak. I was controlling my outside lights at ease. My wife was the only other person at home but she was sleeping. I couple hours later suddenly nothing worked. She was still in bed asleep. With that said I guess it must be some noise in the line so I'll have to see if I can find it. Things were working flawlessly before and now my devices work about every other time I try to change state via the admin console and mobilinc. Thanks! BTW, what are the most common contributors to these type of communication problems?

Some of my switchlincs are dual band so I'm not sure if it's something else plugged in or not. Some of them are on the same phase as the modemlinc and have been working flawlessly for days. I don't have anything plugged in today that wasn't plugged in last night. Sometimes the devices will turn on and sometimes they wont but this just started today. My max hops is 3 and the hops left varies from 0 to 2. It varies by device and time. ie. If I turn the same device on and off several times within 30 seconds the hops left may go from 1 to 0 to err to 2 to 0. It's very sporadic. I'm bummed! Thanks for the help!

Switchlincs and outletlincs on both phases are having a very difficult time communicating with the ISY.

Well I had everything programmed and working great. Even this morning (early) I was able to control my lights via mobilinc. Then a couple hours later I couldn't control anything (I only have outletlincs and switchlincs). When I query it says it can communicate with anything. I unplugged the ISY and modemlinc and plugged them back in. Now my Insteon devices only work about every 5th time I try to change the status. This just started a couple hours ago. It went from working perfect for a few days to not working good at all. Any ideas? Thanks!

I noticed in the admin console under the "Main" tab and clicking on my 2476S...there is something called "LED Brightness". Does that mean that if the lights the Switchlinc (2476S) is controlling are dimmable LED then the SY can dim and brighten the lights even though it is not a dimmer Switchlinc? Thanks!

I seem to be able to turn all my Insteon switchlincs and outlets on and off via the ISY https domain. Note. I'm not actually getting into the admin console. I'm controlling my devices with the basic non java page under "My Devices" on my Droid RAZR.

What does the electricity tap under configurations do? Does anyone have a tutorial on how to set it up and what the different tabs under the electricity tab means?

What can Mobilinc do that I can't do via my ISY https domain? Seems pointless to get Mobilinc app if you have an https domain. Thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks! Not only does the paddle not match but neither does the surrounding white border. Hopefully my threads will save someone else the trouble that I have gone through. I have had 3 different orders and will have to return them all. Several trips to the post office and lots of time on the phone. BTW, I have not yet heard from SM admitting to the error so no telling how long this will take to straighten out.

I ordered my ISY to use with lots of Switchlincs but I can't find any that match. Here is my story... I recently ordered Switchlincs from Amazon and they did not match my cooper wallplates. So I went to HD and Lowes to find wallplates that did match...non of them did. I returned the Switchlincs to Amazon and ordered a white Switchlinc 2476S directly from Smarthome along with a white wallplate in every name brand Smarthome sells. When they arrived I was real disappointed...the Switchlinc did not match any of the wallplates from Smarthome. I have made a youtube video demonstrating this because I knew nobody would believe me. The white Switchlinc is snoooow white and the white wall plate is really an off-white or cream color. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4YSsz8tGuk&feature=youtu.be If I can't find Insteon Switchlincs that match my wallplates (or any wallplates) I may end up returning my ISY. This is a bummer since I have invested lots of time into this home automation stuff. I just thought I would post this here to see if anyone has had this same issue or experiences like this. So far the ISY device and customer service has been nothing short of outstanding!!! Thanks in advance for the help on this! You guys are great!

Does anyone know what I need to do when I open the Admin Console it says, "NTP Server DNS Error" and below that it says, "pool.ntp.org" Thanks!

Looks like I have everything working now. I set the isy to a static IP. Thanks for your help. It took a while but I got it figured out
