  1. Eyezon has a web app and i see there's one for the iPhone as well although i've never used it. Eyezon will do the monitoring for you as well. I built my own alarm server that interfaces with my isy but the Eyezon web app is handy too...
  2. The envisalink basically looks like another keypad to the panel and shouldn't affect the dialer. I had monitoring for a period of time along with the envisalink but dropped monitoring because basically I became the monitor.
  3. Have you looked at envialink for network connectivity on your HW? mike
  4. I forgo the central monitoring as I found the ISY was sufficient for "central" monitoring and it avoids a monthly charge. The ISY notifies all the important people of a device failure. Of course everything is on a UPS.
  5. I use GRI sensors in combination with my DSC alarm which is connected to my ISY. A couple of years ago it caught a failed sump pump and saved me from a big cleanup...

Ring is a cloud service so they won't allow registration of a stolen device provided you let them know. I've have a Ring doorbell hd for a couple of years with no problems.
  7. I was in the same situation so I bought an Envisalink network interface for my DSC and found an open source Python-based interface to monitor the DSC and send notifications to the ISY Network interface. The "Alarmserver" runs on a Pi. Probably sounds complicated but it was so simple. I actually setup the same system for others in the family. You can also run EYEZON's apps and they also have a monitoring service as well. Lots of options...
  8. Hi all, is there an update on the Canadian ISY skill for the echo? I've been running the US app, but will switch if it's available. Thanks! mike
  9. It's been so long I had to look. I remember I ordered the kit and it came with the magnetic contact - grey and about 4 or 5 in long installed at the top of the door. The only options I used were Momentary A (2 sec) and LED on Tx. I'd have to get a ladder to confirm NO or NC.
  10. Interesting set of posts. This is one of the first programs I wrote years ago and I have never experienced random door opening or reversals. I actually have two programs, one for monitoring and another that actually triggers the relay. The first program turns on the indoor lights and sends an email notification as well. The second program is set to disabled but still runs when called explicitly by the monitoring program.
  11. Hi Teken, I have about 10 other port forwards (cams, sip, etc) which were all working perfectly, just the ISY (Mobilinc, Portal) was having a problem. The Gmail TLS issue also confused things. The ISY always had a dhcp address, but I made it static while trying to debug the problem - it didn't help. So I changed it back to dhcp and deleted reservation and did a reboot of the ISY but it picked up the same IP again. That's when I figured it was time to factory reset it. I've had the ISY for over 5 years and never had a problem, it's been absolutely rock solid...
  12. Update - I checked Teken's items and all seemed ok, so I reluctantly reset the ISY to factory and performed a restore. All ok now (but monitoring) - thanks for the help!
  13. No, it just quit, but an ISY reboot and all is ok for about 3 minutes...
  14. I'm having an interesting problem. I've used my ISY for years and it has worked well with zero problems. However, I'm currently experiencing a problem accessing my ISY through Mobilinc, Portal and I've lost my email notifications as well - basically everything internet. A reboot fixes the problem but then it fails again after a few minutes. My access from the internet is a simple redirect port forward from 8888 to 443 and this has worked perfectly since I got the device. My email test says Mail server TLS negotiation failure. Portal says the ISY is disconnected. I have no problems accessing the dashboard through the desktop app. I checked the logs and I do see 2017/10/01 11:19:20 System -170001 [uDSockets] HTTP:49 error:6, but my understanding is this error is informational, but I may be wrong. I thought about doing a factory reset and restore but I thought I would check with the experts if they had any ideas. Thanks in advance and let me know if you need further information. mike
  15. Hi Michel, I screwed up, the laptop with MS Edge browser I was testing did not have the Creators update and it is working fine with Edge IE and FF (ESR). My other laptop with the Creators update is throwing a "error, Loading: /config/" in Edge. IE presents a blank screen. FF (ESR) is fine. Sorry for the confusion! mike
  16. Hi Michel, I'm running 4.5.1. While checking I noticed there was an update to 4.5.4 and that update fixed it. Thanks! mike
  17. Hi, I get an error using MS Edge but I'm not sure it's specific to the Creators Update. Edge gets stuck on: "error, Loading: /config/" I use Firefox 52.0.2 ESR (32 bit) as my main browser and all features work fine. mike
  18. Hi all, I just received an update 52 for Firefox and it removed npapi for the java browser plugin among other things. Now it seems only IE supports the java plugin. Is there a long-term plan to move off the java platform? Are there other options? Thanks for the help! mike
  19. I don't mind subs, but they have to be affordable and echo integration is too pricey for me so it won't happen. I'll have figure something else out...
  20. Thanks for the reply. While investigating, I checked my ISY firmware updates and noticed the UI was not up to date but the firmware was (4.3.26). I updated the UI to the same release and all good now. mike
  21. I successfully added my Remotelinc 2 to my ISY994 but it shows up as a Responder which is confusing to me. Doesn't it need to be a Controller so when added to a scene it controls Responder lights etc - ie. isn't a Remotelinc 2 just a wireless dimmer switch? Maybe I'm missing the concept, Thanks, I appreciate the help! mike
  22. Excellent! Thanks Mike
  23. Everything works perfectly LeeG. Curious, I browsed through the wiki but didn't find a reference to Disable handling (stopping the self trigger) as you provided. Do you know if there is one? Anyway, thanks! mike
  24. This is great LeeG, I'll give it a try. One question, I assumed Disabling a Program was to avoid having it run eg. for development purposes. I gather this isn't necessarily the case as you've noted the Program as Disabled but you still are able to run it using a Program call - correct? Fyi I used to be a programmer many years ago, but I have to say there's some interesting nuances that I'd like more followup. Are these documented somewhere? I've been through the wiki, but may have missed... Thanks for the help... mike
  25. Got it,I think - the iPhone reference is a geo-location variable, so a state variable. I think you know what I'm trying to accomplish with this program - automate my ingress to the house - open door, turn on lights, etc. So is the best (or only) way to handle this scenario is with integer variables/flags? Thanks! mike
