  1. Hi Michel, I performed the Polisy/ISY update and it went perfectly. That said I continue to have problems with "Mail Server Failure" when I "Test" email - see image. The odd thing is it does send the test email. My ISY 994 has the identical email configuration and it works fine. I did the usual reboot etc. Is there anything I can check in the file system to ensure it's config'd properly? Thanks!

Somebody on another thread mentioned Hubitat which can do Alexa, Google Home, Lutron, Zigbee, Z-Wave. I had a look and it's pretty interesting, in some respects similar to the ISY/Insteon combo. No mesh though, so coverage could be a pain.
  3. I was interested by your recommendation of Hubitate so did a bit of reading. I guess it depends on the size of your house but running multiple hubs for zwave could be a pain and could get expensive. The zigbee implementation sounds more interesting but I'm not sure how well supported it is by the device manufacturers. The controller implementation is not pretty - won't say more because I actually haven't had a hands on. Insteon's mesh implementation is rock solid but the PLM really really lets the system integrity down. And the X10 BS needs to be deleted. This said I might get one to play around with....
  4. As the title says I was curious to know if there's a timeline for Polisy ISY beta and prod? If not I'll unplug it and put it back into storage. Thanks.
  5. My experience with the hub in the starter kit is it burns out as frequently as the PLM. (no PLM required) SH did replace one at my vacation condo for free thankfully. The hub is pretty basic but good enough to keep you going.
  6. I got that error after the update. It went away after a full upgrade, update and a reboot. However, I continue to get an smtp error message even though my test messages are sending properly. Update I continue to get the UXT error after a reboot but it goes away until the next reboot. I also continue to get an SMTP error despite the email being sent properly.
  7. Hi all, I'm trying to setup smtp on my Polisy and when I click Recipients i get an error per attached. I did clear my java cache but it didn't help. I seem to remember I had the same problem on my prod ISY but I'm not sure what I did to get it to work. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance! mike Update fixed. Used this workaround which I used on the ISY. 1. Click on "Recipients" bar 2. Dismiss "Invalid Email Address" error 3. Delete button at bottom is now active; press this. 4. Add button is now active.
  8. Where did you find a PLM? Or did you have one already? I'd like to buy an ISY for our vacation condo but no PLMs so in a holding pattern.

Yes and it seems to be rock solid....

So I replaced it with a new PLM V2.4 and everything is working perfectly. I hope the new USB PLMs don't have this X10 "feature".

I tried to reset my current PLM and it seemed to go well but it didn't stop the X10 messages. Baffling...

<<<<<<<<<Not sure if you're interested but after a lot of work I tracked down the culprit Insteon device - a Lamplinc went rogue. I have several of them so I Reset all of the modules then Restored and that seems to have fixed the problem>>>>>>>>>>>> Scratch that, they're back, so aggravating!

Thanks, I suspected as much, would it be possible to use a friendly message? Just curious...

I was seeing the same problem but the update fixed my timestamps. Did you reboot your ISY/Polisy?

Please see attached. I shutdown my test system for a few days so it may be related. In any event it pops up every couple of seconds while I'm trying to use my prod app.

Interesting, I'll have to think about that one as I don't have anything X10 that I know of... Thanks!

I'm running ISY/Polisy with an Insteon switch, a Lamplinc and a simple Program to turn the LL on every hour with a wait of 30 minutes then an off (24x7) I checked the event log this morning for no good reason and noticed i have about 12,000 or so of the X10 events per attached. Is this a known problem? Not urgent of course just curious. Thanks
  18. Are you using the ISY plugin?

  22. Updated and upgraded no problem although I had to reboot Polisy to get things working properly. All good and Logs show correct dates. UD Mobile still doesn't show any controls for devices but scenes are ok. Programs are fine. Great work!
  23. Update: I tried several Polisy reboots but it didn't help. I just unplugged/plugged in the PLM and a ISY reboot which got it going. I was also able to add a switch and a lamplinc then crated a scene with no problems. Thanks! mike
  24. Hi Michel, I'm up and running but my PLM still says disconnected. Have I missed a step? Thanks! mike
