Now I get Admin Console icon on the desktop with admin.ljnlp icon but selecting the Admin Console produces the message "Unable to open the application". Error: JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by the same certificate. The Portal finds and accesses both ISY's with no problem.

I have downloaded a new jnlp.file and emptied the cache. The launcher opens and both my isy's appear. Selecting the cloud option and using my password admin admin fails for both isy's. Help will be appreciated.

Launcher Error Messages and KPL with no Button Back-Lighting
smokegrub replied to smokegrub's topic in IoX Support
I have now done this twice and a Launcher icon is not displayed on the desktop. Nevertheless, when I double-click on the start.jnlp icon on the desktop the launcher itself launches and all its features are there. So, seems like no big deal. -

Launcher Error Messages and KPL with no Button Back-Lighting

Two problems: 1. If I double-tap the Launcher. I get the message “Not Found” twice, once apparently for each of two networks. But, after acknowledging each message, the addresses for each network appear. When a LAN address js selected the Admin Console appears for the LAN. All appears well at that point. I can control devices and programs. However, today, an 8-button KPL no longer has back-lighting for buttons. The buttons still control but are no longer back-lit. A 6-button KPL in another room functions normally. In summary, the Launcher is having problems and the 8-button KPL no longer has backlighting of buttons. Firmware: 4.9.0 UI: 4.9.0 ISY 994i Pro OS Ventura 13.4.1 Java version 8 Update 381 Deleted all three items in cache The PLM is old. -
Yes, I am using the same computer. I have, however. replaced my router at one loaction and will be replacing it at the other in a couple of weeks.

I went into the eero and found the url for the isy. Copied that and went to the Launcher, Clicked on the Add button and typed in the url and the local isy appeared. I am getting too old for this stuff! My thanks to all of you.

Now I have left and returned to this location and now my local isy has disappeared from the loX Finder accompanied by the message loX Finder:Not Found.I checked the new eero router 6+ and the ISY displays as connected. Any further suggestions?
-
Yes. at this location. I will repeat as soon as we return to the remote ISY's location. Thanks to everyone.

Thanks.

That ISY is remote (in another location) and is on an Apple Airport Extreme router. Sorry for the confusion.

After further work, now when I double-click the start.jnlp icon the Launcher icon still does not appear but the Admin Console opens. When I open the Portal the list of devices still offers no scroll bar, but I can use the search function to find and amend a device. Awkward, but it works. In Alexa, I ran Discover Devices and it appears all were successfully discovered. On a separate note, can someone guide me as the where I can find the https address for my ISY? I am currently using the http address.

MacBook Pro; Ventura 13.4.1; Java 8 update 371 The Java cache has been emptied; When I double-click the start.jnlp icon the Launcher icon does not appear on the desktop. Nevertheless, the Portal opens. When I select Connectivity my option is Amazon Echo. Selecting that, I get what appears to me the typical window with, for example, a device list but I cannot scroll in the window. Formerly, I believe, the Connectivity option was for Alexa and when selected a window I could scroll in. To a relative novice, it appears my connection to Alexa may be broken. I have tried everything I know how to do to sort this out but am at a loss. Thus, I turn to you pros with a request for help.

I downloaded a new start.jnlp and that will blink but not access the isy. The loX Launched still works but will not access my local ISY.
-
Yes it is connected via hard wire to the eero base station.
-
The address on the web page, when used to add in the Launcher does nothing.
-
The eero base station is wired directly to the router. As to lsndolfi's suggestion, I have been trying all morning to determine how to get the https of my isy.
-
Start jnlp is now no longer working.

I have two ISYs. One is local and the other remote. The local is connected by a new eero 6+ mesh router. The remote router (old airport extreme) is displayed properly. The ISY on the eero router has disappeared and the message "loX Finder: Not Found" exists. Apparently something happened with the new router. An examination of the devices connected to the eero router shows "ISY994-EMS" as a wired connection. I have rebooted the ISY and my Mac and the problem remains. Any helpwill be appreciated.

I am away from my primary residence. Will be returning home in a week and will study the info you graciously provided. Then, when I return to the vacation home in about 3 weeks I will see if I can get the update done.

Weird, but I decided to try a backup and it worked! Next step. how do I upgrade from 4.9 firmware to the most recenn\t version? My desire is to be able to use UD Mobile.
-
One of the concerns I have is that UDI has apparently indicated no support for the ISY going forward. Is that true? Is that not sufficient reason to make the change? I have no trouble coding programs, adding devices, etc. It is networking issues and hardware maintenance issues such as replacing a memory chip that exceeds my skills. Historically. UDI has been outstanding in helping with such issues.
-
I appreciate the feedback. mIt has caused me to continue to reflect on my situation. I have several older backups of the problematic ISY that have not changed in a long time. So they should help with any transition. So, my ISYs are old, and I am not capable of assessing or doing maintenance. So, I think I will upgrade both ISYs to EISYs. I can envision a couple of node servers being helpful. I hope I can count on you and UDI to help me with the setup. Any thoughts?

I forgot to add, the backup breaks at 70% each time.
