  1. Internal or external IP?
  2. I checked the error log nd it appers the error in creating the ip file is: [UDSockets] RSub:31 error:6
  3. I am embarassed to to admit it but numerous health issues have kept me for maintaining my ISY to current standards. Sadly, I am still running 4.6.2!!! I have finally reached the place and time where I need to get things updated. I just updated Java to the latest version. I then tried doing a backup. I never have had a problem previously but today I got the message "Could not create the Zip file". I have stopped at that point since I am hesitant to proceed further without a backup. My plan was to first proceed to 4.7.3, get another solid backup and then attempt to upgrade to 5.x. I am not ashamed to admit that at my age I am not as sharp as I used to be. That and the health issues are at the center of my being so far behind. I would appreciate any help you are willing to provide on this journey.
  4. i have used a tag on the outside of the door of my mailbox. I have applied a light seam of silicone to the tag and it has lasted for more than two years. I know the tags are not waterproof but I was willing to sacrifice the tag if it lasted a reasonable time and kept me from unnecessary trips to the box. I would guesstimate that it works more than 80% of the time and seems to be dependent on how lond the carrier keeps the box open. Not a perfect solution but more than acceptable, to me. I just installed two more tags today as a backup to hidden door sensors at a remote address which I will not visit for the next 6 months. I keep the motion sensors on the tags turned off until, and if, the hidden door sensors' batteries fail or they fail for some other reason. I am very well pleased with the tags.
  5. I checked on the status of MobiLinc for the subject location and all is now well. Go figure!
  6. I have a remotely located ISY and have successfully used MobiLinc for years to control devices using my iPhone. The last couple of days MobiLinc has gotten worse and worse until tonight. I can still control devices the Admin Console and they quickly and corectly show their status in the AC and MobiLinc Dashboard. However, I cannot control devices using MobiLinc. I have checked settings and all are correct. I thought I would check here regarding others having similar problems before I began further detective work.
  7. I have had no issues with the FanLincs. Mine have been troublefree.
  8. Thanks, Benoit. I am almost 100% certain that is not what happened. Time will tell. I appreciate the feedback.
  9. I tried the refresh function during this episode and that was of no help.
  10. Although the portal appeared to be properly logged in if this happens again I will close and reopen the portal. Thanks.
  11. In the past when I have added a device to my ISY ans then opened the portal that device has been listed and available for creating a spolen. This time, the three devices I added to my ISY did not appear amng the devies in the portal. I foumd through trial and error that if I used the search feature and the name of the device in the portal a device appeared in the search function and when the search was closed that device then appeared correctly in the portan.
  12. No, that is not what I am referring to. This is prior to opening Alexa and discovering. This is strictly within the portal. The subject devices did not appear in the list of devices until I tried searching for each by name. Then they appeared in the portal list of devices.
  13. I searched for their name. Ordinarily you do that just to make it easier to gfind a device. This time they were invisible until I searched. Once found they became visible.
  14. I added three new devices to my ISY and they did not appear in the portal until I did a search for ech in the portal. Once they were found by that method they appeared in the portal. Thoughts?
  15. Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps I was mistaken or perhaps that is from an earlier era.
  16. It is my understanding when setting up a scene in the portal it must be set up as a light to work. Perhaps my memory is wrong. Please chime in.
  17. Thanks. That alone would be sufficient reason for me to buy one.
  18. Can someome answer a basic question for me? Will this device allow me to easily capture and use data from cao tags? I have several of these tags and plan on more. I am aware that some heavy coding can be done to accomplish this but its complexity requires far too large a learning curve.
  19. Will this play well with the CAO Tags?
  20. I have two ISYs, one local and the other remote. The local ISY is correctly reporting the status of battery devices (4 door sensors and 10 leak sensors) in the Admin Console. The remote ISY is not reporting the correct status of X-10s, all door sensors (4) and leak sensors (5). MobiLinc is failing to report the latter devices as well. Thoughts.
  21. I think I ended up getting this resolved. The problem arises from managing two portal accounts for two ISYs. I think I have things in-hand now. I will know for certain in a week when I visit the second location.
  22. Routines have given me trouble when I have forgotten and discovered devices. I have had to delete the old routine and replace it.
  23. Benoit: In order to get Account A functioning properly I had to change the password to the the account. I then check on Account B, using its email and passoword. I forgot and discovered devices and those for Account A were displayed! Obviously, I have fdone something wrong. I need your expertise to sort this out. I don't want to have to do this drill evry time I change locations!
  24. Benoit: I just returned to the location of Account A and was getting some devices to respond to Alexa and others not. I tried logging into the Alexa account for that location and got the message the password was incorrect. I am 100% confident the password is correct so the account appears corrupted. I checked on Account A and its email and password worked fine and I forgot and discovered devices without problem fot that account. Before I do anything I want to consult with you as to how to "fix" account A. I can email you the email and password for each account if that would help.
  25. Thus far, all is well for the portal B account.
