  1. @Techman, yes I tried that and it does work. @Geddy, I never noticed the "remove from folder" before. The solution was right in front of me and I didn't even see it! But it still seems like you should be able to drag it out of the folder. But this is the first time I ever tried. Thanks!
  2. Anyone else having this trouble? I can not drag anything out of the sub-folders back into the main eisy folder. I am on 5.7.0 and have tried the Admin Console on a Windows machine and the eisy. I can drag devices from one folder to another, but nothing back to the main tree. I have most devices in the main eisy folder.
  3. @toddlock, I use motion from my IP cameras to trigger lights outside. It seems to work pretty well depending on what is in your field of view.
  4. @gschoffstall, don't give up so easy with a background like that, this should be easy for you once you get use to it. Do you have the eisy on your network and access to the Admin Console? Have you logged into Ployglot (PG3)? You really don't need experience programing in the language that is use by Hue, someone already did that work for us. You just install the Nodeserver and there may be some minor, usually well documented, configuration. All the complicated things are already done for us.
  5. I have used IP cameras to trigger devices where motion sensors have not worked well. Interesting topic!
  6. This might be a good place to start: https://wiki.universal-devices.com Nodeservers connect your eisy to many other devices. https://polyglot.universal-devices.com
  7. @ShawnW Good explanation. Have you figured out how to get the bulb back full white brightness? When you first plug in the bulb, it is much brighter, warm light. When I move the situation back to zero, the light is on the blue side and not very bright. If you use the identify on the ON-OFF node for 5 seconds or so, you will see what I mean.
  8. @bpwwer, might you have any suggestions? Maybe? pip install pushover-python
  9. After a recent update UnifiPresence does not work. I get the below errors. I had the error on PG2 and then tried it on PG3 and have the same problem. Any suggestion? 2022-08-10 07:26:45,127 MainThread udi_interface INFO polylogger:set_basic_config: set_basic_config: enable=True level=30 2022-08-10 07:26:48,480 MainThread udi_interface INFO __init__:<module>: UDI Python Interface for Polyglot version 3 3.0.46 Starting... 2022-08-10 07:26:48,485 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: Traceback (most recent call last): 2022-08-10 07:26:48,486 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: File "/var/polyglot/pg3/ns/00:0d:b9:53:d7:3c_7/./unifi_poly.py", line 15, in <module> 2022-08-10 07:26:48,487 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: from pushover import init, Client 2022-08-10 07:26:48,488 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: ModuleNotFoundError 2022-08-10 07:26:48,489 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: : 2022-08-10 07:26:48,490 MainThread udi_interface ERROR udi_interface:write: No module named 'pushover'
  10. @macjeff I had an issue with some programs on working. I change something in the program, saved in and changed it back with another save. Then the program worked fine. For instance if the program turned a device on, I changed it to turn the device off and then put it back to normal. Like forcing the program save again. I wonder if that might work for you. Maybe I had something else going on, and it was just a coincidence. I can remember if i reported it or posted about the problem here, but I believe that fixed my problem. Something to try...
  11. I run the same Node server (PiCamMonitor) on 3 different RPi's to 1 ISY without issue. The other Nodes show up in other DashBoards as unmanaged. So the Nodes disappear in the ISY? What does the PolyGlot DashBoard show on each RPi?
  12. @Michel Kohanim I report the odd view on the error log ISY on Polisy v5.0.4_13. You had said it was a bug. It looked normal after an update. But now it appears like it did before and I am not sure when it happened since I don't check the log often. I am running 5.3.0_19 now. Is it just me?
  13. I am also missing the Portals Tab and I get the Your Modules are up to date! message. If I go to My Products on the Universal Device My Account web page and click the Modules button, it tell me it is Not a valid serial number. @Michel Kohanim, open a Ticket? Nevermind, I was using the wrong web site.
  14. @asbril CQ DX, CQ DX, KJ4QYF DE KB8WLW. 73!
  15. @larryllix Well, from the perspective of an FCC-licensed Amateur Radio operator, 2 inches for the 900 Mhz band is not much. Typically the minimum usable antenna length is a ¼ wavelength of a giving frequency or at 900 Mhz, roughly 3.25 inches. Anything less than ¼ wave usually has or is basically a load coil and is a sacrifice in performance. Antenna gain is generally compared to ½ wave dipole that is 13 inches long at this frequency. Now some computer-generated compact antenna designs produce gain, but it is a moot point. The 902 Mhz to 928 Mhz band is allocated to the Amateur Radio service. The Z-Wave dongle is a part-15 device in this band and has limited emissions requirements. Typically the emission requirements are measured in microvolts per meter, a combination of power (watts) and antenna gain. So, in short, you are correct; it doesn’t matter if the antenna is 2 inches. There is some reading more boring than my post on the FFC’s website regarding part-15 devices.
  16. I bought the Zooz 700 Series Z-Wave Plus S2 months ago when I saw many other brands were not in stock. I figured I would take a chance that Polisy would support it someday. My luck appears to be good for a change. ?
  17. He mentioned the lights are not responding timely as well. Did you look at the event viewer to see if there is something going on?
  18. @jellis, take a look at this post. I was stuck on 12.0 as well. I think I also did this:
  19. Read this post and the one above, perhaps it will help. I ran this to update to FreeBSD polisy 13.0-RELEASE-p4: sudo pkg install -f FreeBSD-kernel-polisy
  20. @Michel Kohanim, I notice the error log is difficult to read, like there is no line break (or carriage return, as some of us may know them by). I read there were some logging issues in the earlier posts. Maybe I missed mention of this? ISY Error Log.v5.0.4__Thu 2021.08.26 12.57.34 PM.txt
  21. I came to the party a little late. I followed the various post and I am running ISY on Polisy. There must have been some updates as it reports ISY version 5.0.4_28. Going to do some testing soon. Thanks for your hard work UDI !
  22. I have a ton of Insteon devices and only a few Z wave devices. I was going to try these once I needed to replace a switch. But nothing has failed yet. I am also curious on what others plan to use. https://www.casetawireless.com/products/dimmers-switches
  23. Here is @Michel Kohanim post that @gviliunas was referring:
  24. I am glad to hear about the progress and can't wait to try it out! Thanks UDI team for your work. I hope when released it will include the ability to support the Node Server developers.
  25. @Michel Kohanim, please correct me if I am wrong, but here is how I see this. The questionable future of UDI's Polisy integration with Insteon is NOT UDI's fault, it is Insteon's. Insteon has not defined a path to the future. Current Insteon products will be support through Polisy directly, or worse case, from Polisy through the ISY. Future Insteon products may or may not be supported (if they even have any future products). I had seen another post on UDI's Forum that seemed to imply that Insteon future is questionable at best. I had hoped Insteon's limited product availability was only due to the COVID shutdowns. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/31292-insteon-being-discontinued/
