I use a Polisy with the Wireless Tag node server.

I use email and/or text notifications to alert me when the battery level reaches a certain level. Some devices have a low battery status and I do the same for these. You can certainly update your ISY994i ZW/IR Pro to version 5.x firmware. Using a variable you can create a routine in Alexa to announce the leak sensor has detected a leak.

Try using Control rather than status in the "If " statement of your program and set your motion sensor so it sends only "On" signals.

My ISY is connected to the portal if that is what you are referring? When you log into the portal do you see the your ISY information. By this I'm referring to the UUID and alias.

I'm experiencing the same thing when logging in through the portal today. It seems to have corrected itself now. I logged out and logged back in using the portal and the device status was not showing. I clicked on the programs tab and the programs loaded then the device status became available.

Have you removed the old device form the Alexa list of devices in the UDI portal and added the new device to UDI portal? Once you do this then ask Alexa to discover devices.

I use it to ping certain cellphones when they connect to the network. I then have a routine that announces that person has arrived. To keep the routine from running every time the phone reconnects to the network, I have a program to disable the routine for a period of time after the first ping. @simplextech, my experience with Elk wireless sensors is they are very reliable but the response time was much slower than Insteon response time in similar situations.

I have found that receiving notifications via email or text when something is happening when it shouldn't be or something is not happening when it should be, is much more reliable than me checking the status of devices every time I think i should. if a notification is received and I'm traveling, I can then check the status and see what's happening or not happening. Polyglot gave me the ability to interface many other protocols not natively supported by ISY.

Mobilinc and Agave both accommodate multiple ISYs by setting up a separate profile for each ISY.

Just make sure you have a good backup in case for some reason you need to go back to your old firmware version.

If you want to turn on a light using the light's given name, it needs to be the spoken you gave it in the ISY Alexa portal. When you assign a light to a group as I outlined, Alexa identifies it only as a light. So you have to say "turn on the light" or it won't recognize what you want to do. You could also ask Alexa to turn the same light by using the spoken you gave it in the ISY Alexa porTAL. For example. In a bedroom, I have a ceiling light and a bedside lamp. I have the ceiling light and the Alexa device in that bedroom in a group. If I say "Alexa, turn on the light", the light turns on. This is the only Alexa device that will turn on that ceiling light with that command. I do this for several rooms. That way all you have to remember is "Alexa, turn on the light" when you enter a room. If I want to turn on the bedside lamp I have to say, "Alexa, turn on the bedside lamp". Of course I can say "Alexa, turn on the bedside lamp from any Alexa device we have and the bedside lamp will turn on.

@DaveStLou, Here's how I set up my groups. 1.Open Alexa app on phone 2. Select devices 3. Press + in the upper right corner 4. Press add group 5. Select a room name from the list or create your custom room name 6. Press Next 7. Select the Alexa-enabled device you want in the group 8. Select the light from the device list that you want to turn on 9. Press save You're now done and should be able to go to the room with the selected Alexa device and say, "Alexa, turn on the light" and the light should turn on.

To make this work by saying Alexa turn on the light, you need a group with just the light you want to turn and the Alexa device you want to use for turning on that light. I have only made these groups from the Alexa phone app so.

You could control a scene that has the brightness level set to your liking.
