  1. It works for me. I also have an "Operational Log" pushover app and everything that goes there is silent - no chime or vibrate. I only use "Send Sys Custom with Params"
  2. This is the link to the wiki for eisy. Per tehcman's post, when you scroll down, the eisy docs point to the link to the ISY Cookbook for docs on admin console/iox.
  3. FWIW, All normal here, normal "respiration" of the getting updates from yolink things. Nothing in the log like the messages you posted.
  4. I did the latest iox updated prior to experimenting with virtual and restarted. I then installed the virtual and restarted. Based on the above posts, I restarted again, and now the virtual device controller node has one value of "connected" which sounds right. The 2 things I defined didn't show up, and I want to remove my isy ip, user and password. I should remove the plugin, delete the nodes and start again.
  5. @Brian H The on/off module precedes the 994i sunset and should work. But to your point about the inline and micromodules; better to know for sure if the motors can be dimmed. Mine were buried in far away and hard to get at places. Its better to use an on/off micro module to do it once.
  6. There are several different micro module products from insteon.. One of them is an on/off relay I use to control a kitchen fan. If your requirement is on/off only, I recommend that one.
  7. When I had an ISY and nodeservers on a pi that was important. I'm on an eisy; \ 8080 for http, and 8443 for https. Wasn't anticipating that level of config change for a plugin install.
  8. Already stumbling a little. I got to the nonprod store and installed, isy, user and pw working.... I'm not getting what to do with this: Key (var ID) Value (device type) 78 switch 79 dimmer or generic 82 temperature (will be displayed as farenheit) 85 temperaturec or temperaturecr (will be displayed as celsius) (the r can be used to note raw data if you prefer) If I pick a state variable I do have, 15, and type temperature as the value, I get a switch showing up in the ISY I tried literally putting 82 as the variable as a long shot, I know that makes no sense... I don't have a variable 82 so it didn't help. It's not clear to me how to map the virtual device into my ISY variables (all are state). The Virtual Device Controller and my 2 defined devices all look like this:
  9. 2 ideas on the portal Web page There's a little icon with 2 concentric arrows pointing at each other on the right.. Click that.. Did that help? On the tools drop down, pick Information/portal access troubleshooting, it's meant to walk through things like this If those don't help, if submit a ticket. Switching CM MAC address several times may have caused a security issue or confused the portal
  10. Hmmm. I'm out of ideas, it all looks similar to how I use it. Going back to your first post, this is how it looks in the pushover client on ios/android? I would ask @bpwwer to comment.
  11. Can you show the dropped down version of the sys parameters you've selected?
  12. I'd say its good news / bad news: Good news - you got 12+ years of continuous, reliable service out of an electronic product. With the exception of a furnance, I don't have another example like it Bad news - if the sd card isn't bad, we're beyond the "writing on the wall" phase Do you have a back up that's recent enough to be relevant, but old enough to be before the recent problems started?
  13. Ok.. I think I got it, thank you. In the case of your awning, there's no plugin, but it has a published rest API and this can act like a network resource++, as an eisy device that can be consumed and controlled by programs (?) I also like making programs more readable. I have a set of programs to control my master bath fan (i3 paddle) from a yolink 8003 based on calcing the change in humidity. It works as designed and no functional problems, but looking at the programs makes my head hurt in terms of taking sensor data, massaging as variables to determine action. Based on seeing the screenshots for temp, I'm thinking about loading Virtual and using the features I saw for temp for my humidity programs. Guessing that's possible by not doing f/c conversions. It's the current and previous that I'm interested.....but at this point it's up to me at this point to give it a shot. Thank you
  14. Thanks for adopting and supporting the community, it's appreciated. I've watched this plugin from afar, and I'm still a little cloudy on scenarios, use cases for it beyond screen shots (It's a problem I have with the store and other plugins: nothing necessarily describes the "what" that it does or why I would use it... I just have to know. Which suggests maybe I should just move along which is ok) I did click through, now and in the past, to GitHub and there are images that kind of suggest this, but it's not really clear. If possible, could you bullet (at 10,000ft) a few things this helps with, how you use it. Not details, just functions, the kind of things you do and are the used in programs, by the plugin, etc. Thanks.
  15. I'm wondering if we're barking up the wrong tree. How old is the ISY and specifically the SD card?
  16. I get pushover messages via the Notifications server daily and I don't have that happen. Are you using the default UDM notification template (red arrow), or defining your own (blue)? Also, not sure it should matter, do you have the the pay for production version? I think you have to, but its the only other thing I can think of
  17. paulbates replied to MIem's topic in ISY994
You'll know if it's the siren... loud, continuous, penetrating high pitch... hard to take for very long. Mine is set as siren for leak sensors and I have to go unplug it soon after it starts.
  18. paulbates replied to MIem's topic in ISY994
and lIRC, the set button can be used to toggle between chime and siren
  19. paulbates replied to MIem's topic in ISY994
I do it by putting the devices in a scene including the siren module. In the scene, set the siren module to chime. It will respond faster in a scene as well, and no programs needed
  20. You haven't mentioned how you did the replace... did you follow the Replace PLM procedure? Losing that much functionality suggests no. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:File_Menu#Restore_Modem_.28PLM.29
  21. Side note.. It's sad about rainmachine not being around. I got one at my last house in 2017 and enhanced it with @io_guy's nodelink on my isy. The rainmachine was relatively easy to use and lots of detailed tweaking per zone to get it just right. Out of all the ha things I installed in that house, the rainmachine paid for the lot over time.. All of it. Our south east Michigan water is really expensive and it really curtailed the use of it.
  22. There are a few potential trip wires If you can "hold your breath" till you get the new plm, I would do that and not reconnect the old isy... You have to reprogram all insteon devices (restore plm) to your old isy, and then turn around and do it again for the eisy when the new plm arrives When you get the new plm, my suggestion is to restore your eisy to the last eisy back before you had plm problems, so you didn't restore bad insteon data to the new plm
  23. Not sure the difficulty in doing it, but Java and the AC would be easier for me if IoX/AC was resident in eisy and a secure remote term used to access it so its all one package. It could be part of the portal, I would even pay an additional fee on the portal for that ability
  24. Sometimes for plugins what the ac panel shows, vs what's available in program statements under status or control are different. Did you try to write a program and see what's available there? I bring it up as the ring plug-in behaves this way.
  25. So... reread... You'll want to do it this way New Program - [ID 0045][Parent 0001] If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Repeat Every 1 hour Set 'ERV' On Wait 20 minutes Set 'ERV' off And set it so it runs at startup
