Status runs only if the status changes unless another statement also causes "If" to be evaluated at any partiular time. If Status 'Thermostat - Main' is Mode Heat and Contol 'KPL button' is Switched ON Then statements Also, you don't need the fan statement. The fan is always set to automatic (unless you change it to Always ON) and will run whenever heating os cooling is called for.

You don't seem to have anything that returns the level to 100%.

I have three zones all controlled by 2441TH wired thermostats. Oh, and a 994i, too. No difficulties, but I don't do much with them. I use RemoteLincs to control them and programs to turn them off when we leave (Dine Out button) and also to turn them off at night in the event we forget (mostly).

So, you actually read the OP's first question. I didn't I am unable to add the 2441TH to an ISY-99. I tried auto-linking, linking by ID and linking by ID plus selecting the thermostat from the drop down list. Finally, a reason to upgrade

The 2441TH is powered by the HVAC system. The wireless 2441THZ is battery powered.

Good to know I'm a 1%er

Mike, Does this mean that Version 5 will not support Z-Wave?

I'm controlling 13 14 window coverings using Somfy RTS motors. A 16 channel Somfy Universal RST Interface is needed. So is an interface between the router and the Somfy URTSI and also an ISY network module.

That is the correct way to use Random. But the light will turn on +/- 30 minutes after sunset. Change Sunset to Sunset - 30 minutes and random to 1hour.

If power is lost while the blinds are moving and the On/Off Module retains its state when it loses power, then yes, that may happen.
-
The ISY Finder saving what it finds won't work if you have more than one ISY, but once you launch the console you can close the finder.

edokid, I plugged the Add-A-Motor into an ApplianceLinc (now called an On/Off Module). Then I wrote a program that cut power to the motor after x seconds. The exact time doesn't matter because the Add-A-Motor can be adjusted for end-of-travel in each direction as long as the duration, x seconds, is more than the total travel time. Each time power is cut and restored the motor runs in the opposite direction.

There's a lot of confusion regarding NO vs. NC. Even on security device web sites, you'll find the same switch described differently. But. from an engineering/electrical/wiring perspective. normal is the uninfluenced position. Most switches are shipped in the normal position. Another example in addition to post #10 is a plunger switch, the kind that you push in and it clicks in place. Push again to click out. The normal position is with the spring relaxed (i.e., out). Edit: most security system use a "closed circuit." That's not the same as "normally closed." Therein is the confusion.

That's correct. When there is nothing influencing the switch such as a magnet, a NC switch would send an On signal (when connected to an I/O Linc). When then magnet is present the NC switch contacts open resulting in an Off signal.

IMO, all control of Insteon devices should be via scenes, even if it's one device. That way, as your network grows you need only add the new device or button to existing scenes. It also makes it easy to change the settings (e.g., On-level, ramp rate) for a particular scene without affecting other scenes. There are a few exceptions. There are also programs

I do have both 32 bit and 64 bit Java installed.
-
In most contexts, the normal state is without any external influence. For a magnetic switch, it's apart fro the magnet, for an electrical switch, it's without power. Edit: for a push button, it's the un-pushed position.

edokid, You are correct. Installing a Somfy motor is usually not a DIY project. (Installing a window covering that has a Somfy motor is not difficult.) And, yes, the control kit you linked to can control a Somfy motor. Either way, it's a costly undertaking. I used an Add-A-Motor for some time before we converted to motorized window coverings. But, you do need a loop in the pull cord.

Verified. Windows 8.1 64 bit. Java 8, Update 40. Updated to Chrome Version 42.0.2311.90 m. I can browse to the HTML interface, but when trying to open the Administrative Console I get the message, "This plug-in is not supported."

How do you do tilt (two operations) and open/close (two operations) with only "two strings...with,,,balls on the bottom?" Any slat window covering I've come across had either four strings (or two loops) or two strings (or one loop) and a rotator rod.
-
That's correct. Turning on a device directly affects none of that device's links/scenes, only that specific device. Otherwise you could create an infinite loop. If you want all the devices in a scene to respond, control the scene.
-
1. If you turn on the scene from the Admin Console, does the button light? 2. Click on the scene. Is the button set to On?
-
A scene has no status because any scene can turn devices on or off in response to turning the scene "on." Instead, select any or all primary device(s) in the scene to query in your IF clause.

The 2441TH I used as a test is set to Fahrenheit and I do get the temperature reported as such. Does the email show the brackets [ and ] ? BTW 20ºC = 68ºF.
