Lock the door program
Not if no one is home which is the most likely time that doors are kicked in. Thieves don't kick in doors if the place is occupied.

Integrating with Amazon Echo?
I use MobiLinc and the ISY portal successfully together. The key is setting the correct parameters for MobiLinc. See: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_MobiLinc_Configuration

Lock the door program
Drilling a hole behind the striker plate is one of the most dangerous things that you can do. The lock is already the weakest point of entry because material has been removed from the door frame to allow for the striker. That's why people kick at that point to gain entry. Drilling a hole behind the striker plate makes that area even weaker!!!

Lock the door program
Virtually any Z-Wave lock will report status. I prefer Schlage, but Yale and Kwickset have been mention by other posters. Edit: you'll need the Z-Wave module.

Converting large install from Houselinc
Keeping existing links will certainly lead to unexpected results. It is wishful thinking that it can be done. I used a method similar to what Paul did, I moved one room at a time. Of course, there ware some links that spanned more than one room. Those required a little more effort. I did print out each screen showing links to help along the way.

Integrating with Amazon Echo?
If you only installed MobiLinc, then no. If you installed the MobiLinc portal, the yes, absolutely. The ISY is capable of only one portal at a time.

Garage door opening spontaneously
Yes, solar flares can wreak havoc, even cause only one individual device in an entire state or an entire city to misbehave. But the article you referred to is about solar flares that occurred more than 2 1/2 years ago. No particular device is impervious to the mischief that a solar flare can cause, but the possibility is even less than being hit by lightening.

Why isn't this program functioning like I think it should?
Other than manually, that's the only way to run a disabled program. Edit: wrong word corrected.

Lock the door program
It's usually best if you post your program. "Responding" means that the ISY can reach to device. There is no Insteon lock so you must be using the Insteon lock controller with a Morning Industry lock. The Insteon Lock controller does not report the status of the lock, locked or unlocked, so you can't use the status as a program trigger.

Daylight Saving Checkbox greyed out
If you select a location from the list that observes (or doesn't) DST, then there is no choice. That's the correct decision, not a bug. But, there exist some municipalities not on the list that may or may not observe DST. It it's not on the list, then the ISY doesn't know which to select, so the choice is made available, another correct decision.

Program Execution
Programs are not evaluated continuously. They await a trigger much as a device awaits an Insteon signal.

I/O Linc with a Septic Sump-Guard?
The sense wire draws no power much like a standard switch doesn't. It's not the wire load that matters, it's the load that the Micro Module controls that is of concern. A Micro dimmer should be connected only to a device that can be dimmed, an On/Off module load should not exceed: 15A/240VAC 3600W/240VAC resistive 700W/240VAC inductive/capacitive 2000W/240VAC bulbs/low voltage halogen

Best way to create an "all on" command
If you have a low link count, then a scene is ideal. OTOH, if your link count is high, approaching, say, 800 and you'll be creating more scenes or adding more devices, then a program will serve you better. A disadvantage is that program statements are processed sequentially, scene members respond simultaneously. An advantage is that you don't need to include every device, only the scenes that have the devices as members. I recently took just that route. A scene that had 60+ members needed only 21 statements. The trigger is the same two KPL buttons that I had as scene controllers.

No, the portal is not down. Have you tried Refresh?

Schlage lock not showing up in Alexa app
The Schlage lock does not appear in the list of discovered devices, but will respond to your voice commands. I speculate that the reason for not appearing is security concerns.

Micro Switch in a 3way configuration
Ok, your diagram shows power at each end. That's unlikely in most installations.

Micro Switch in a 3way configuration
Jeff, There's a great need to do what you've accomplished. My concern is your diagram. It's not possible. You must have omitted drawing some wires. Can you try again, listing the color of each wire? You can (and did) ignore any ground wires.

Insteon Door Locks
If the door needs any force at all to lock (or even close), then some adjustments need to be made, usually to the striker plate. The only force needed should be to enter through a locked door

Unexpected result when querying iolinc with trigger reverse enabled
No programming is needed. You can get the KPL button to light only when the garage door is open and use the button to control the garage door (actually the I/O Linc) with scenes only w/o trigger reverse. If you use Z-Wave, then, at least with v4+, you'll need programs. I don't know if you can integrate Z-Wave and Insteon scenes using v5+.

Unexpected result when querying iolinc with trigger reverse enabled
No, it is not. The only way to know is to try it.

How to reload all devices after "Delete All"?
I can go to the portal site and add as many devices. scenes and/or programs as I want. But, there is no default spoken-I have to type one in separately for each addition. After entering one or more spokens, I click on Save-very important! Then I open the Alexa app and select Discover device and all the additions are added sequentially.
