Sooo rookie mistake I took a perfectly working 2413S and re-capped it as a preventative measure When I put it back together i had the serial board only plugged in on one row of the header. Plugged it in to a red light instead of green. Corrected the issue and have a bright green light but no communication. Suspect I blew the serial interface. Does that sound reasonable ?? does anyone have a dead 2413 S that might have a good serial board they might sell ?? ...Barry

Still trying to get USB to work. I Installed the FTDI drivers and PC sees the USB interface. Anything else I can try ? ..Barry

interesting question.... I initially hooked up a USB PLM (it was old but working last time I knew, way back in the Vera days) it said not connected although it responded to the reset button. I re-capped it today and it still appears functional, but not seen by ISY ...Barry

@Michel Kohanim anything I can try to get around the ISY automatically discovered at http://192.168.0.27:80 however the username and password need to be set in the settings menu. I can access the ISY on Policy via ISYFinder Once I try to set the ISY password on Polisy the ISY still runs but doesnt respond to commands and Polisy URL will not connect until I restart the ISY ...Barry

@Michel Kohanim if you mean can I login to the ISY on Polisy via the ISY Finder - Yes I have added a couple of Insteon devices and wrote a few programs. Works fine until I try to set the ISY password in Polyglot on the Polisy After pressing save the ISY is still responsive in the UI but devices do not respond until I restart the ISY ...Barry

Done but.... I am still getting the ISY automatically discovered at http://192.168.1.145:8080 however the username and password need to be set in the settings menu. Any workaround for this ? ...Barry

I have the same "password of ISY needs to be set" issue If I try to set it I can no longer access Polyglot and the ISY becomes un-responsive Restarting ISY brings me back to the password loop ...Barry

Michel I bought a "Dev" Polisy Pro to start testing. Is the USB PLM working now ? ...Barry

in addition when amps are turned up too high they tend to "clip" aka not produce a clean signal wave which has a high DC component for a signal not intended to be DC
