Firmware v 5.x, Polisy and Nodeserver Releases
I don't do a lot of manual switch control, and mostly use HA in my browser or HA and UD Mobile on my phone. I gradually replaced my 300 series Zwave switches to Zwave Plus (Only a couple left of 300 series) and my current line of thinking is to maybe gradually go from Zwave Plus to RA3, once there is a well tested nodeserver.

Firmware v 5.x, Polisy and Nodeserver Releases
Thanks @lilyoyo1 for your insight. If I were to start from scratch, I most likely would go for RA3, but I am sufficiently ok with my Zwave setup to stay away from replacing my whole system. However, I am keenly interested in a potential gradual upgrade once a well working nodeserver is in place.

PG3 on Polisy
THANKS !!!! I got it. So until all my existing Nodeservers are added to PG3, I keep using PG 2 ? I tried to change the username / password from admin/admin but, even though they were saved, it remains on admin/admin.

PG3 on Polisy
I followed your steps and did not get any error message, but I don't notice any difference from before. This is what shows at the bottom of my Polisy Dashboard : Version 2.2.13 Status: Connected Frontend Version: 2.2.9-5 ISY Version: 5.3.4 Uptime: 1 Month(s) 3 Week(s) 3 Day(s) 23 Hour(s) 7 Minute(s) 54 Second(s)

ISY and Polisy *OR* ISY on Polisy???
I have no idea who is right (and I am not even sure whether that is important) but let's not get angry with each other and a different tone would be appreciated.

Any value in the old Series 300 modules?
You make a very good point. If we would test positive abroad, that would be a big issue !

Any value in the old Series 300 modules?
This year we have travelled abroad a few times, but being very careful. Testing before coming back was easy, directly at the hotels in both countries...... a matter of a few minutes with results a few hours later.

Any value in the old Series 300 modules?
@larryllix is back in Mexico again ? BTW Very surprisingly, almost no Quebec cars in South Florida, as usual in winter. I had expected these to return after the US re-opened its borders. I miss telling the Quebecois in French to drive faster

ISY994i Z-Wave Alexa Google
Good luck with that. Sometimes people prefer a hamburger over filet mignon

To the best of my knowledge, Google Nest is no longer working with ISY. It seems that Google does not share its changed API.

ISY994i Z-Wave Alexa Google
Alexa and Google Home can control your ISY devices, with ISY Portal account, so that for example I can tell Alexa and GH to turn on lights, close curtains etc. But in most cases ISY can not control Alexa or GH, unless there is a nodeserver for the specific need. As an example, I can control my Chromecast devices in my ISY because there is a specific nodeserver for that purpose. It is also possible to have Alexa "announce" specific ISY events and I use this to let us know in the master bedroom that there is motion in the elevator foyers of my apartment.

Let me add something...... Polyglot is a system that runs on a Polisy...... Polyglot has nodeservers, which are interfaces between a number of products/devices (Tesla, Thermostats, Somfy, Weather Apps, and many more) and ISY. It is pretty spectacular. There are several nodeservers that work with Google, such as Chromecast, Google Home, Google calendar, but probably what you need is a nodeserver that works with brand that you are using. As an example, there is a nodeserver for Kasa devices, which allows you to control these devices in your ISY. There is a list of the current 112 different nodeservers, but right now I don't remember where that list is. Explore Polisy and you will be amazed.

If statement comparing two state variables
But I assume that you can have 2 similar programs, one for each switch ?

Serial PLM discontinued according to smarthome
I have made that full Zwave choice, but I recognize the Insteon has pros. The Insteon vs Zwave debate is geting old in this forum and I have no intention to contribute to it. This being said, @giesen's " I have very little confidence " sounds exaggerated. My 80+ Zwave mesh network works very well, but he should stay with Insteon for as long as it makes him happy and for as long as it is available. All alternatives (including Insteon) have their pros and cons and most will reach their EOL or EOU (end of usefulness) at one point of time. Then move on, live with it, and enjoy.

New Nokia Insteon Devices
While Nokia is European, from the cold Scandinavian woods, they for sure have US offices. The Insteon devices, widely "advertized" in these columns (!) are 110 V and therefore for the North American market. So the Silly people may not be all that silly .

Can I upgrade my ISY994i to control Z-Wave modules?
Nodeservers are almost the best since sliced bread was invented..... These are integrations with multiple systems, curtains, thermostats, calendars, wifi devices...... etc etc. the nodeservers allow you to control these 3rd party systems from within ISY.
