Release 5.2.0 (RC3) - OUTDATED
Some are still on 4.X. And if your 5.0.16 works fine, then there is not much to worry about.

Release 5.2.0 (RC3) - OUTDATED
Michel, I was joking as I doubt that a 700 series Zwave USB dongle for $ 19 can be of good quality. However that is what it shows on the Mouser electronics link.

Release 5.2.0 (RC3) - OUTDATED
I just noticed that "Heal Network" disappeared in 5.2.0 . Am I right in assuming that a manual Heal is no longer necessary ?

Chris, I apologize for my ignorance but I am not sure to understand what a button press is and what it is supposed to do.

Release 5.2.0 (RC3) - OUTDATED
Having more than 70 Zwave devices, that would be tough for me to do.

Release 5.2.0 (RC3) - OUTDATED
Technology evolves and products reach their EOL all the time, and it should not be a huge issue to stay with 5.0.16 until the 500 dongle is available. Most likely 5.1.0 (and now 5.2.0) was designed to take advantage of the 500 capabilities and then, somehow, this resulted in an incompatibility with 300. That is of course regrettable, but part of evolution. The real problem would have been if 5.0.16 had big issues, which it has not. I am slowly replacing my old (non Zwave Plus) devices to take full advantage of Zwave Plus and the 500 dongle, but I know already that soon we will have Zwave 700. The circle of IT life.

Release 5.2.0 (RC3) - OUTDATED
I am happy to report that (after having issues with 5.1.0 RC2) I successfully installed 5.2.0 RC3, without the numerous phantom nodes that I had with 5.1.

Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
I really doubt because you don't have a 5.0.16 backup. Theoretically (were you to follow my experience) you would go back to 4.7; restore your 4.7 backup and then go to 5.0.16. However, I don't know if going back from 5.X to 4.X has issues. Others may know better.

Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
I did without a problem (I then restored a 5.0.16 backup).

ISY Control Survey
We use voice control several times every day, mostly to open curtains and for Good Night routine (switching off lights).

Automater Air Vents that work with ISY
@larryllix thanks for showing this trick

Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
You mean, we each remember something, so that collectively we know it all ? That goes directly against what my wife tells me, calling me a know-it-all who remembers nothing !

Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
I know that you are more expert than I am, but what is the difference between a dongle and ISY backup ? If my ISY would be damaged by my 4 year old grandson and, for argument sake the dongle survived, would there be a difference in restoring from the dongle or from the computer ?

Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
I have had the 500 dongle for a while, and I am still on 5.0.16, and regularly perform a dongle backup without a problem. In fact the dongle backup is done in about a minute. I may be missing something, but can you not make a backup to your computer, File, Backup ISY ? I backup my ISY to my computer every time I change a device or make a significant change in a program.

Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
I was lucky enough that I was able to restore 5.0.16 after experiencing serious Zwave issues with 5.1.0 . I believe that UDI is working on an update.

Is the Echo worth getting?
Somehow my wife's Latino accent works better with Alexa than with GH. My European accent works fine with both.

Is the Echo worth getting?
We use both Echo and Google Home and each has its pro and cons. I started with GH because my Son gave me one, and I added Echo when I basically got one for free. Now both systems are around the home. I like the Echo Dot with time display, and it also reacts faster to "Open Curtains" than GH, but GH is better at providing information, which is not a surprise with Google behind it.

Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
I had numerous Zwave issues as well with the 5.1.0 upgrade and I was successful with restoring back to 5.1.16 RC. Make sure that you follow each and every step, including clearing Java and using the correct 'start'. I know that UDI is working on addressing my issues and hopefully there will soon be an updated fw.

Inovelli ilumin bulbs?
Can I, with a ISY program, set different colors at different times (with Lifx nodeserver) ?

Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
I downgraded back to 5.0.16 and will wait for, what appear to be, bugs to be ironed out.
-
Release 5.1.0 (RC2) is now available
I now realize that the upgrade is a small disaster for me. Several nodes have disappeared and many programs no longer work. I will now try to restore a backup and if possible avoid synch. In fact I may first try to down grade to 5.0.16
