  1. I downgraded back to 5.0.16 and will wait for, what appear to be, bugs to be ironed out.
  2. I now realize that the upgrade is a small disaster for me. Several nodes have disappeared and many programs no longer work. I will now try to restore a backup and if possible avoid synch. In fact I may first try to down grade to 5.0.16
  3. After the synch I noticed that several ( less than 10) nodes disappeared from my "room" folders. So far I found one of these under its original ZW XXX name and hopefully I will find the others. I moved all the 'scene' and 'basic' nodes to a special folder and when starting the AC again, all or many of these nodes were added again, and then when doing another synch the same nodes arrived another time. Something seems wrong. I am a all Zwave guy and this seems specific to Zwave.
  4. I am a dummy.... and will do so now. There are 'Basic', 'Binary Switch', 'Scene Button', as well as some other nodes. I am sending you the results with a pm
  5. When I enter these in my browser (I tried with Edge and Chrome) it does a Googlle search and loads regular webpages. See attachment. As such, I will wait to do another synch all. There were indeed a lot of 'basic' nodes but also scene nodes. Maybe some were from old switches that I deleted in the past ? Untitled 1.pdf
  6. I did the upgrade and this is what happened. At first, dozens and dozens (maybe a hundred) what I call "phantom" and scene nodes appeared in the AC. Furthermore several good nodes disappeared after performing a synch all nodes. I then proceeded to restore the backup that I had made just before the upgrade and that seems to have brought back all my nodes and programs, without the unwanted phantom nodes. I will test everything over the weekend and report back.
  7. I dont like to use the dashboard and just learned to live with the phantom nodes. One day not too far, I hope, the AC will be replaced with a non-java and smoother software.
  8. I am not sure that "unfreeze" happens every time I open the AC, but on the average I have 2 or 3 "phantom" nodes a week even when setting the "freeze". Maybe the difference is that I use the AC multiple times every day.
  9. lilyoyo1, that is for me hardly a solution. The freeze option unfreezes when restarting the AC and then whatever was deleted will eventually come back. I have given up (so far) on permanent solution and created a "phantom devices" folder where I put those nodes.
  10. If I want to select color depending on day/time (with a program), hue or lifx ?
  11. Are these (color) controllable directly within the ISY administrative console with or without nodeserver ?
  12. Most of us had no (serious ) issues but I can tell you once that you have ironed out any issue that you may have, you will be very happy. Remember that this forum provides great support and of course UDI has superb customer support. Jump and many will be there to catch you, should need be.
  13. You are THAT old ??????
  14. 5.0.16C is solid....... very solid. Don't hesitate.
  15. My Alexa Good Night routine sets 1 light to 50 % and another to 0 % .
  16. Have you tried to increase Java memory ?
  17. Did you manually upgrade ISY in the administrative console ?
  18. I see multiple choices on Amazon. Do you have a specific preference / recommendation ?
  19. This discussion brings me to a project that I was keeping for some time in the future.... Are there any color led strips that can be controlled via a nodeserver ?
  20. Follow instructions on page 1 of this topic : 3. Download firmware - ISY 994i Series including Z-Wave support - ISY 994i ZW, Z, or ZS Series (Z-Wave/Zigbee and/or if you do NOT have a PLM) 4. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 5. Choose the file downloaded in step 3 6. After the upgrade, You must clear your Java Cache
  21. Thanks, but does the same apply to a motion sensor that stays ON, after motion has been detected, for about 2 to 3 minutes ?In this case, is the 30 seconds wait necessary ?
  22. Can you explain in simple terms why the 30 seconds are necessary and same for (in Program) changing variable back to 0 ?
  23. oberkc, you must have been reading my mind as I was just thinking about this earlier this morning. I will experiment later today. Larryllix is smart so there must be a reason to use a variable, but I'd like to understand.
  24. That is my experience. I included the switch on a test rig with neutral and then moved to the desired location. The switch works perfectly but frequently I get an error message that ISY can not communicate with the switch. However, when I need it, in a program or "manually" in the administrative console, it always works.
