  1. A ceiling light with 6 led bulbs
  2. The difference was to first include the switch with a Neutral wire (at another location).
  3. I am happy to report that I was finally able to make the Red Series Inovelli switch work, without a Neutral wire. As I previously reported I have one switch box at home where it is practically impossible to connect a Neutral wire. Several attempts to include the Inovelli switch had failed and a few weeks ago I installed a battery operated Ecolink switch which works. This morning I decided to try again with the Inovelli switch, but this time I first included the switch with Neutral and close to my ISY. Then I moved the switch to the desired location, without Neutral, and now it works.

    Polisy

Thanks. He lives 5 mins from us and I guess it is easy to fix the nodeserver onsite

    Polisy

Is there a way to remotely access Polisy ?
  6. I was well up to date with Greek Mythology when adding my comment. Were you, when choosing your avatar ?
  7. Let's be nice to each other...... Your forum name can be considered as provocative as what others write.

    Polisy

This morning I installed a Polisy at my Son's home. He has a specific need (controlling lights on certain days at certain times) and not being techie at all, he has no clue on how to manage the Administrative Console. By adding the Polisy and the Google Holidays Nodeserver, all he has to do is adding (whole day) events in his calendar, and with the programs that I created for him, his lights will go On and Off as desired. I had initial problems to set up the Polisy and Michel reminded me of the need to add the Polisy to DHCP. My Son did not know his modem/router username and password and it took me an hour to get the IP provider to reset the modem/router, and after that the setup was very easy. My Son also has Somfy blinds, so I will add that nodeserver at a later date. In conclusion, another happy user of Polisy.
  9. I had a few Inovelli and other switches that I had issues with, and yesterday I put this together to test and reset my old switches. Out of 10, one Homeseer switch just no longer worked and 2 switches were non Zwave Plus. Therefore I threw away 3 switches and have now 7 ready to be installed. I will use these to replace some of my Non-Zwave Plus switches. I am not concerned about range (with about 70 Zwave devices I have an excellent mesh network) but the old Non-Zwave Plus switches do not always report status. In fact, next time I have a new switch, I will first do the inclusion with this device close to my ISY, then install the switch in its location, followed by a "heal".
  10. madcodger is right. When I receive a message from one of my service providers, I do not click on a link in that message, but log on the way i usually get to the service provider's website.
  11. https://www.amazon.com/ZEN30-Control-Repeater-Required-SmartThings/dp/B0846CJTRN I'd like to share my experience with this new switch. This double switch is meant to control a ceiling fan and its light, but I actually used it for a different purpose. In our breakfast room, the ceiling fan, until now, was controlled by separate switches for the fan and the fan light. On one of our balconies I have ceiling lights without switches. (When our condo was built, I had asked for lamp fixtures on the balconies, but the builder forgot to install the switches. I installed screw lamp modules (Zwave) in these fixtures and controlled these from the Administrative Console). Now, I replaced the fan light switch with this new Zooz double switch, using the upper part (dimmer) for the fan light and did not connect the wires of the lower switch to anything. However, as I had expected, both the upper and the lower switch were included in my ISY, and in the Administrative Console I programmed the lower switch to control my balcony lights. It is a bit of a long explanation, but the main point is that this Zooz switch included without any problem in my ISY and serves my purpose. If you want to use this switch to control both fan and fan light, then note that fan speed can not be controlled. That is why I kept my separate switch for the fan.
  12. I confirm that this works well with my curtains. Benoit recently added the "open/close" syntax for Alexa directly in ISY Portal, and hopefully same will come for GH.
  13. I am very content that Eric re-joined this forum and seems to be paying attention to our concerns, like he was doing about two years ago. He also acquired an ISY for testing and hopefully that will ensure better integration of Inovelli devices in ISY. Until then, I mostly buy Homeseer and GE/Jasco devices. yesterday I had an old GE switch give up, after about 5 years and actually was happy to replace it with a Zwave Plus switch.
  14. I just ordered one (a bit pricey) and check it out. If all ok, then I'll order more.
  15. I'll probably order 3 or 4 of them. ETA ?
  16. Will it include Fan Speed control as well as Fan Light Dimming ?
  17. Thanks for the clarification.
  18. Thanks Eric, I was great believer in Inovelli, especially because of its innovative approach (I guess that is in the name). Your switch has been a "life"-saver for one of my 3-way setups, as the auxiliary switchbox is in concrete with no space for an intelligent switch. Being able to use a plain old standard switch to connect to a smart Inovelli switch at the main switch works great. On the other hand, inclusion and exclusion, with my ISY, of Inovelli switches gives ongoing headaches. I have two of your new "no neutral" switches and I was not able to connect either of them. Next week I will put together a dummy box so that I connect a switch close to my ISY and try to include one of these "no neutral" switches WITH neutral and see how this goes. I appreciate your attention to this. I am bit surprised that it is mentioned that ISY is not really Zwave certified. Knowing how UDI works, this sounds doubtful. BTW, there is need for a Zwave switch that controls both a fan and a fan light in one (of course with dimming and speed control). There is no good Zwave alternative for the Insteon Fanlinc. I have resolved this by separating fan and fan light control into two switches, but one switch would be nice.
  19. Definitely best choice for a new house, but is there an equivalent of ISY options of groups, scenes, etc etc

    Polisy question

Thanks Michel, it was just a question on the why and where from. My Polisy works as a dream. Thanks for the explanation.

    Polisy question

My question is only out of interest, not because of any problem..... Almost every day there are updates in Polisy. Where do these updates come from, UDI or nodeservers ?
