ISY connection issue / power LED OFF
Found these. Not sure if any of it would be of help. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#MAC_OSX https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Java_applications_are_blocked_by_your_security_settings

ISY connection issue / power LED OFF
I would still contact UDI. They have the greatest support I have seen in a long time. They maybe able to diagnose the issue remotely or give you a answer here. Do you know what ISY994i firmware you are using and if the UI matches the firmware revision? Are you using the ISY Finder? You may also want to see what they have in the UDI Wiki. I am sure issues like yours have some answers there also. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page I have seen some information of adding the ISY994i to a Java exceptions page but don't have any exact information.

ISY connection issue / power LED OFF
The power On LED is driven directly from the power supply. If some of the other functions seem to act and work correctly. You may have a power LED hardware issue. I would contact UDI and start a Trouble Ticket. https://www.universal-devices.com/contact-us Where there any OS or Java updates done, that may have changed things?

Power failure: ISY not working
My assortment of UDI power supplies. ISY26,ISY99i and two ISY994i controllers. Where 5 volt either 1amp or 500mA. Sounds like you found a good 5 volt replacement. I would imagine they would be fine.

Power failure: ISY not working
I had a similar thing happen to me. In my case there was an added clue. The Power On LED on the supply was pulsing. The ISY994i has a range of voltages it can use. Right now if you get a replacement supply directly from UDI. It is a 12 Volt 1 Amp wall wart.

Cannot Restore To New SD Card
Glad you got it working.

No Lights on ISY
When mine went bad. It had the same LED on the supply flashing you are seeing.

Cannot Restore To New SD Card
Did you use the special process to install the wanted firmware version before trying a restore. As it would not put the firmware on the SD card first? https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/29346-cannot-restore-to-new-sd-card/

ISY994i - Could not open config file to read
Thanks for the clarification on not being the same or similar. I ran into this when I tried the new Dual Band On/Off modules for the older 2456S3 ApplianceLincs.

New Insteon Hardware - SBP-Wall - Smart Wall Switch
Actually some things have changed. The Operational Descriptions and Block Diagrams where in the early Insteon FCC Database files. They where still in the 2413U/S PLM FCC Files. I suspect now that Richmond has taken over they have gotten more restricted on what the public can access. The schematics and parts lists for the 2414U/S PLC and 2412S/U older PLM. Where in the Developers Guides. Us early Developers Group members had access to. When they close the group. For awhile the developers information files where publicly released for all to download.

ISY994i - Could not open config file to read
Did you add the new switch in the ISY994i and then use the replace with function to use the new switch where the older failed one was?

New Insteon Hardware - SBP-Wall - Smart Wall Switch
Teken. Don't hold your breath on seeing things like the users manual, internal and external photos. They are listed as available 09/16/2020 on the FCC web page. Things like the schematics will probably never be released to the public. Unless something has changed. They never released schematics publicly in the past and I doubt the new management will change things.

New Insteon Hardware - SBP-Wall - Smart Wall Switch
Thank you for the information. I will give it a look when I can. Seems with all the internet being used from home. Unless I try and do something lets say at 5:00 AM. Many of my pages never load or data is lost.

ISY has lost communication with all devices
Restore Modem (PLM). Sends a factory reset command to the PLM and then restores the Link Database in the PLM. With all the links the ISY994i knows that should be in it. It also will remove links marked as unused or corrupt in the PLM Link Database. So there are no unused links in the middle of the ones that should be in the PLM.

ISY has lost communication with all devices
When you reboot. Is there any message indicating the system is in safe mode? That can be it can't communicate with the 2413S PLM. If you go into Tools, Diagnostics, PLM Info/Status. Does it show connected and the PLM's six digit ID? Have you tried. Powering down the 2413S PLM and the ISY994i and then power up the 2413S before powering the ISY994i up? Is the LED on the side of the 2413S on at about its normal brightness? If the 2413S PLM is over 2 years one. One possibility it has failed. They have a reputation of failing after a few years. The latest ones V2.5 have some updates and should have a better service record.

iolinc solar pump control
You manually linked the two modules with the set button sequences and not through the ISY994i? The ISY994i should be the way you link and control modules. The sensors output is a dry contact and does not have any voltage on it. In my tests. The green sensor LED is on the input and can be turned on before the sensor actually switches. If the closure is not a low enough resistance to to trigger the sensed input but still let the green input LED to turn on. If you can do a test that may help. Disconnect the sensor input on the I/OLinc and put a short piece of wire between the sensor input and the ground terminals. Then see if anything has changed.

Unable to exit safe mode
No 2.3 is not the latest hardware revision. The presently selling 2413S is a 2.5 directly from Smarthome. It has an improved serial port daughter board. That has a better ESD rated serial interface IC and some protection on the serial signals to the outside world. Also C7 and C13 on the main board's power supply. That are more suitable to a switching power supply. I did see the better caps and serial port interface IC on the older serial port daughter board in a V2.3 but not the new daughter board.

I have not gotten one yet. If I do get one I will add my name to the list of those that have gotten it.

How do i track down a communication problem?
Are any of the other dual band modules LEDs flashing Red or Green? To indicate communicating on same or opposite phase of the installations wiring.

How do i track down a communication problem?
If the LED on a module. Blink on traffic could be seeing power line communications or there is noise on the power line causing it to flash. If the LED flashes when you use the modules local switch. Like on a Switchlinc. One of the modules it is a controller for may not be responding back. This is from the Wiki and it says 16GB is the largest SD card that can be used. Last Users manual also covers the SD Card replacement. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Replacing/Formatting_an_SD_Card http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/production/ISY User Guide 4.2.8.pdf

What size SD card for backup?
My older 04/02/2012 ISY994iPro has a 1GB SD Card and my newer 04/13/2017 ISY994i has a 4GB SD Card.

Elk m1
The CT-800 has a fixed current setting of .5 Amp to switch it On. You can lower it by winding the wire being sensed around the CT-800 twice for .25 Amps. If the wire you are sensing. Goes to no current when it pauses. Like the motor power. It will go off and maybe what is triggering your m1.

Blinking Power Led
Thank you for the update. Good to read the system is now working OK.
-
Blinking Power Led
OK. Let us know how it goes. I suspect the replacement will be better. If the old supply has a power LED {some did} it may also be very dim or flashing if the supply has failed.

Blinking Power Led
If the presently sold replacement power supply by UDI is 12VDC 1A. A supply with that specification maybe a good way to go.
