  1. Hmmm.... I had posted in here 5 minutes after i posted, that I had found the fix myself (Even before Javi's post)... (It seems to not have made it)... anyways, the fix for me was to delete and re-do the wi-fi entries... presto, worked.
  2. It is now, but not sure about before... You're probably right...
  3. So, after a power outage sent me on this journey, I see that (for me at least), UD-Mobile is horrible at running locally, when WAN is disabled. I have a video attached, showing UD-Mobile having a nervous breakdown, as soon as i unplug my modem (I have an Insteon switch to turn it off and on... shown is "SW-Inet-Modem). I uploaded a video of my session to YouTube at: https://youtu.be/gmeVGXI2Vbg I found another app called SimpleHomeController, which works (While UD-Mobile is crying the blues), that I use to turn the modem off and on for testing. I have my WiFi's in the settings, and approved/allowed, as instructed, but that doesn't help. So, first I show UD-Mobile running fine when WAN is up... Then i kick the modem off, (My whole internal network stays up)... then the fun starts. After i turn the modem back on, it takes a good 10-15 minutes until UD-Mobile finally puts the Kleenex away, and starts playing nicely. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks
  4. What are "heads up" notifications?
  5. Had to relink in Google Home app. Coincidentally disconnected after the outage couple of nights ago... Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  6. Error message... The Google devices give audio 'Sorry, I can't reach universal devices right now'... When I tell them to do something...
  7. Squawking again it 'can't find universal Devices'... my network and all on my end appears to be up... I'm on Google Devices...
  8. I checked mine, and yes, they were wrong, and I don't remember being asked (or told) what to do... I have the standard two networks 2.4 and 5G SSIDs, and some of my devices had the 2.4 (I use the 5G so had to add now), and couple were just wonky stuff. Can these be included in backup/export-import? (Mistake phone to have to do manually each device) I imagine a ton of people don't have this configured properly and don't even know it. Thanks! Fred
  9. Basically same issue for me... I don't run polisy... but UD Mobile on Android prefers cloud over local, so I have to set 'only use local connection' but when (not if) the portal drops, I can't get into ud mobile to change it to this... And I need it unset normally, to control my house when away from home... HUGE Problem, please fix...
  10. I'm getting SOooooo tired (and the whole household) of hearing 'sorry I couldn't reach Universal Devices' and everyone goes 'NOT AGAIN'... how can this be made more reliable?? I'm using Google devices, others using Alexa, apparently, so it's not on my/out end...
  11. Would be great to know what happened, and can any steps be taken to prevent again in the future?
  12. Just means you have UD-Moblle running... So exit that, and it's disappears... In got me for a bit too... could be worded much better imo.
  13. ok, so as long as i'm backing up my isy, never any need for zw backup then, correct? thanks
  14. When I'm backing up my ISY, it asks for filename, then puts to a file. Where does the Zwave backup go to? (Internally onto the ISY??) (If it gets backed up into the ISY somewhere, should i do Zwave THEN ISY backup, in that order?)
  15. Thanks Mr Bill! That was it... i took a chance and just upgraded to pro. Even if i had purchased in past, its worth it just to support UDI (and i probably didn't, and thought i had). I didn't have time to figure out the nodeserver thingy, but would like to at some point. Now happily adding devices!
  16. i don't see a choice tab, but i now have pro and do see icons for automatic write options... all good
  17. Where can i get a node count? Sounds like Pro issue may be bang on... i suspect /fj
  18. Thanks! I was sure i purchased the pro... but on v4... Would i have to re-purchase v4 to v5? I don't see any module purchases at https://www.universal-devices.com/my-account/ I have isy portal account to run my Google devices... is that not pro module? I can't 'add' my device, as i don't know exact date for 'purchase date' (so i can't see what i've purchased, or purchase more)
  19. I'm on V.5.0.16 I was trying to add a mini remote 8 button, and it stopped at first 4 buttons. Tried several times, same result. So after 4 buttons, tried another one, NONE of the buttons, just error. Seems like I've hit some kind of limit. Tried rebooting ISY, same results. See attached... Fred
  20. Hey Larry, that was just what I was looking for (and a bit extra LoL)... Thanks! Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  21. Ah, good one, I'll try that! Thx! Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  22. Hey Larry! I'm on Google, so I then have to say "Hey Google RUN XXX" instead of "Hey Google TURN XXX on/off", which others (ok my wife) finds really hard to remember to say. How do you speak it on Alexa?
  23. I have an emergency light that turns light off when power is applied, and on when power is off. (a battery backup LED light that comes on when the power goes out) I'm using it as the light in my garage, so I use an Insteon plug-in module to turn the charger to this light on and off on a normal day-to-day usage (and when the power goes out... poof, it's on) I would like to reverse, so when i say, hey google turn garage ON, it turns the Insteon switch OFF. I have my mini-switches working by using a program, so i can reverse the "then" logic. Any ideas?

Thanks for your honesty Michel! I figured it was either ddos or a config issue (i've done that with my load balancers too). At least it's something that can be fixed... this time... In the wild... I'm really concerned with the latest level of ddos attacks, MikroTik router vulnerabilities, etc, (that CloudFlare can't protect) so keep working on improving cyber security all the time... it's only getting worse with these, billions of IOT $5 devices with vulnerabilities, yada yada Steve Gibson... "someone somewhere has built, assembled, and is in control of a horrifically powerful botnet, unlike anything seen before. It consists of upwards of a quarter of a million MikroTik routers, nearly half of them with IP addresses in the United States. And as I said, I'm sure those brief 60-second attacks against Yandex weren't meant to harm them. They were meant to give the attackers some sense for the scale of this new offensive weapon they have created. So they must be feeling quite pleased with themselves now. Nothing can withstand 21 million web requests per second." Go to https://voip.ms and watch a company going from viable to on its knees in days... due to... yes... ddos ransom

Well of course, I don't even know how you could set this all up without having local to start with because that's how you set it up and then you add on the cloud so I'm still not sure what lesson I need to learn. Of course I can change it locally but I can't teach everybody how to use interfaces and have apps on their phones etc. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
