How to differentiate between Zwave and Zwave LR?
I did not set or change these options... I didn't even know they existed until @Guy Lavoie pointed them out

Maybe you can move this post over to there.

How to differentiate between Zwave and Zwave LR?
Yay, by setting the timeout to 3 minutes and the speed to 10, I was able to get it through, I don't know what other parameter values would work, but these did work. It actually went pretty fast, so I'm thinking maybe the speed helped. Thanks!

Thanks... but still dead-ended... (Have you actually added LR devices this way? } I'll try your other suggestions...

How to differentiate between Zwave and Zwave LR?
To be honest, this whole Zwave (mesh and LR) has been a disaster on the EISY. I have had trouble tickets logged about my locks, and I don't 'reply in time' so the ticket gets closed... big waste of time to go thru the rigeramo when I'm nuts busy... this ain't supposed to be my full-time gig. I thought LR would be figured out. Anyways with my locks disaster (they were working fiine on my ISY994 (WTF?), I moved my two most critical locks over to a Raspberry Pi with a battery backup, running Home Assistant just on Wi-Fi. Just a simple test, a the time, and I've kept it that way because it works so pristinely. I just added this ZooZ LR, and it took me less than 60 seconds for it to be added. I can't believe the time it is taking on this EISY to get things set up. I'm a wee bit of a hacker, but this is getting ridiculous. Anyways, I have a couple of pictures up to show my quick little setup that I did two months ago that I've never stopped using because it works so well. It just sits on my dining room table and runs and runs and runs.

They went through the whole process again, same outcome. I ran this through Claude, and this is what it came back with. Does this help?

The parameters seem to be inaccessible and grayed out, how did you do it? What is the procedure to remove the profile?

Nice device, two separately controlled outlets... Yeah, I was going to suggest that you buy one from Amazon and, if you don't have good success with it, return it within 30 days. Followed this to a T, and it failed the same way again. I have a screenflow and logs attached. Screenflow: https://youtu.be/UiMYUan1zns Logs: Attached combined-logs-2026-10-24T00-28-13.zip

I need to be a little bit careful answering this because I'm not sure. It seemed pretty smooth, and I didn't have to answer anything about license or use ZSniffer to get these options that I've shown in the screenshot, is that what you mean?

I didn't know about factory reset! (I did it successfully, but still same timeout... "Discovery Timed Out") I'm quite sure it's actually seeing it, but just not finishing the interview.

How to differentiate between Zwave and Zwave LR?
After a few heart-stopping moments and being up till 3 am, I finally got completely upgraded on everything, and it's working this morning after a few reboots and holding my tongue just the right way. I finally upgraded to 7.46 because it was timing out trying to SmartStart add the ZooZ 800LR switch, but it's still timing out. Here's a screenflow... https://youtu.be/uigRtHaZa1E I've also attached a couple of logs that I referenced in the above video . combined-logs-2026-10-23T14-13-22.zip

Thanks, all y'all, I was able to upgrade using my Mac. I stopped at 7.45, maybe I'll go to 7.46 at some point.

How to differentiate between Zwave and Zwave LR?
Can this now be done from EISY-UI, or Mac?, or does it have to be Windows?

Yes, you're correct. It's at 7.32. what's the procedure for upgrading it?

How to differentiate between Zwave and Zwave LR?
Looks like I'm out to lunch on a whole bunch of stuff here, because my node does not start above 256, and I don't see anywhere to see the ZMatter version. Thought it was somewhat up to date, but obviously ZMatter is another animal. So I have to hook it up to a Windows device to upgrade it?

How to differentiate between Zwave and Zwave LR?
I have a couple of Zwave-LR devices (amongst a bunch of other Zwave normal mesh units), and the most recent i got is an outdoor double plug ZOOZ model Zen14 800LR. I'm wondering how to tell whether this thing is working in LR mode. The range seems poor, to be about the same as my old Zwave normal plugs when I test them. I'm just wondering if this ZOOZ is backwards compatible and somehow thinking it should be in with the normal Zwave mesh?

Connecting TrapEEzEE mousetrap from YoLink to Alexa
I was on, buying another Trapeezee Smart Mouse trap adapter (amazing device), which connects to a YoLink hub, and somebody on the review site said they had connected it to an Amazon Alexa (Echo?) device, and via EISY, trap catches were being announced over his Alexa device. The reviewers name is Jeff Lauterette, and I looked him up on here, but I don't see him, I'm not sure if he goes by a different handle. Anyway, I'd really like to get it hooked up to my Amazon (and Google) devices. I'm just wondering if I could give some help on how to do that, because I could see my other YoLink devices (such as wet sensors) also being great to be announced through my Alexa and also my Google devices. Thanks!

This has absolutely nothing to do with ISY!

EISY Zmatter Zwave Topology Map
Yeah, that Z-wave "Capture Log" is very useful... I created this AI prompt (Claude Sonnet v4.66 at "Medium" Effort), which I will offer to this great community, because it really is quite phenomenal and useful. It has to be taken with a grain of salt, but boy, oh, boy. Within 10 minutes, it comes back with a lot of great info. This was just a quick test capture log after activating a couple of my devices, which I will now do more extensivelly, by activating as many devices in my network as I can. I'm thinking it could also be useful to do one device at a time, but I'll have to play with it a bit. It would be interesting to hear feedback from others that try this! PROMPT: Good morning Claude, Today you are going to be a Z-Wave expert. I am having a problem with my Z-Wave network and I have attached a Z-Wave capture log that was generated from my EISY from Universal Devices. This capture log contains a lot of information, of which I would like you to reverse engineer a topological or topology map, both in graphical form and in table form. It should also show any areas that could be potential problems such as signal strength and next neighbors and signal path which should be evident in the topology map that you build. EISY Zmatter Zwave Topology Map
Out of desperation, I did order one of the Zooz repeaters as suggested... I do really like their stuff and everything I have of them as worked well! Won't be here for a couple of days, but we'll see when it gets added to the network... Thanks (Do you have any idea if there's any good reports to get a Zwave map?)
