I want to give my old ISY994i to my brother, how do I assure that I have deleted everything before I give it to him (as I have moved on to a polisy)?
-
OK, this is kind of a silly question, but for years (16 to be exact) I have wondered if on the AC left panel if you set the width larger, how to make it stay that way upon closing and reopening the AC... I guess I am lazy

doing some testing with the KASA energy monitor switch. I wrote a program to query the energy monitor every 20 seconds, and another program to send email and text if the current power is below a certain wattage. Hower, despite the power going below this amount, the program never triggers. Any thoughts?

Yea, my KASA NS works great!...but what is the right way to add a new KASA device after the NS has already been installed? To refresh and look for new KASA devices? In general, the same question applies to any NS, i.e. how to refresh it?

I am sorry to hear that. Actually UDI did a remote into my device and it was not dead I’m not sure what required to get it going again but all is well now

I have had an Isy since 2008, and a polisy this year, so I am used to the Java interface. I occasionally have issues (and it seems like numerous other do too), that eventually get resolved (thanks to the forum and UDI), but all of this seem a little archaic to me? I do not understand the technical reasons, but just opening a discussion on why and if it ever will change?

Z-wave battery remote switch in insteon scene

Thanks much for your help. Yeah I will have to digest that and play around with it some more to get that to work but yeah I really miss Insteon -
Z-wave battery remote switch in insteon scene
jkraus replied to jkraus's topic in Z-Wave - Series 700
thanks much. I was referring to the LED on the Insteon keypad that the switch is turning on a scene that the keypad also controls, I believe this is referring to the LED on the paddle switch. I think you know that and I guess you are saying one of those parameters could be used to set the KP LED on, will have to think on that. It seems that this switch, like a lot of technology, does a lot of cool thing I do not need, but misses the mundane thing I do need! ? -

Yes I already have the Zen 34 and although it works pretty good it it puts in five different nodes and only one of them works to control light which works good for off an on but no Dimming at least as far as I can tell. Also it doe not lite up the keypad leds when it turns the scene on -

Haha. Yes, I do know how to Google, ? -
just looking for any recommendations for a z-wave battery operate switch that will do a good job of controlling an insteon scene including dimming and lighting up an insteon keypad LED when the scene is activated (like insteon does so well)
