  1. I'll be looking forward to reading what @bmercier says.....
  2. A better method nowadays is to use the Wireless tag node server and not a Kumo App, although Kumo app method will still work. (when I had 10 tags reporting temps and battery voltages via Kumo apps there were A LOT of errors and issues ongoing, since switching the the Wireless Tags Nodeserver I've had many fewer issues.)
  3. @kzboray-- not so fast. Warning: Install 5.0.16C if you have a 300 series Z-wave Board. If your ISY has no z-wave board, or has a 500 Series Z-wave board then it's okay to go up to 5.3.4 How to tell. Open the admin console and look for a Z-wave menu across the top. If there is no z-wave menu, the ISY doesn't have Z-wave, proceed to 5.3.4 If there is a Z-wave menu check the z-wave version (last item on the Z-wave menu) 4.55.00 = 300 series Z-wave... Install 5.0.16C and do not go further. Also note that a user coming from v4.x at this point is the game most likely has this version if they have z-wave. 6.81.00 = 500 series Z-wave... Install 5.3.4 and keep up to date going forward. @Stan Wetmore A few additional notes: 1) In addition to making an ISY backup (and z-wave backup if appropriate) before you start also make a TEXT backup of your programs. Open the programs tab and click the top folder (usually My Programs) then right click it and choose "Copy Folder to Clipboard"... now open any simple editor that won't add formatting (notepad on windows is perfect) and paste. Now save the file. 2) It's in the instructions but everyone misses it, after the upgrade the admin console login credentials will be reset to admin/admin 3) Immediately upon logging back after upgrade in go to Help > About and verify that your Firmware and UI versions are the same... If they are NOT... Do not pass Go... you MUST fix the UI version so that it matches the firmware. I'd recommend using the ISY Launcher as discussed here. 4) Next, open the "Programs" tab, then "Summary" sub-tab. If you see the color YELLOW anywhere, that program needs to be manually fixed. It probably has the "Adjust Scene" function. NOTE: if you ignored step 3 above, you won't get past this step. Manually fixing programs that didn't convert is why you did step 1 above.
  4. Or maybe your looking for the prefered UUID in the box above the dropdown:
  5. Can you elaborate?... i thought I knew what you were asking about, but if that's not what you're seeking then I have no idea what you're talking about.
  6. Log into Portal. Top left corner of screen, "My Profile".. change the dropdown to "use all ISY's in account" Does that solve the issue you have? Also Polisy comes with a Portal License... I think 2 years... to activate that 2 years tho you have to tell support which UUID to attach it to.
  7. You're correct, XS was the last model with 3D touch. Se this article: https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/touch-accommodations-iph77bcdd132/ios Note the section titled "Adjust settings for touch-and-hold gestures"
  8. Nope. My serials PLMs both came with DB9 to RJ45, and it works with Polisy (I've tested).
  9. Initially we had the opposite problem... Exit was broken, Enter worked perfectly, reinstall resolved that... not sure I'm looking forward to the next update.
  10. Normally I'd say @kewashi could probably identify the issue the fastest even if it's something to communicate to UDI rather than adapt housepanel, but he seems to have vanished https://github.com/kewashi Jan 26th 2021 is the last time he touched any code.
  11. There's always this device: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Serial-adapter-DB-9-RJ-45/dp/B00006IRQA/ which could be used with a plain ethernet cable. I would think someday UDI would identify a cable on Amazon with known compatibility. There have been multiple forum posts on the topic, but no word from @Michel Kohanim
  12. There are apparently Geofencing issues in iOS 15 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253247480 Until this morning I thought this was a Locative issue, but it looks like Apple broke it. that said... that doesn't explain why long press to reach the manual triggers isn't working for you. Obviously since it works for you on one, you know what to do and should be able to do it on the other. I would expect the XR to be the odd man out tho...
  13. Is your wife's App up to date? That was added to the app in version 5.2.0 of locative about 6 months ago. (it was added as a direct result of an email I sent to the developer.)
  14. Apparently there is a known issue with geofences and iOS 15. FWIW, I solved the problem for my wife and I by reinstalling Locative app, it's worked perfectly for us since... (reinstall was early in iOS 15, life, probably during 15.01's cycle) https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253247480 (skip the marked "answer" and read the rest of the thread)
  15. if Your using mobilic and/or mobillinc connect disregard this. If you're using the ISY portal and Locative App, delete Locative, restart your phone and then re-install Locative. Both my iPhones had this problem after upgrade from iOS 14.x to iOS15.
  16. Couple things... make a backup before you start. (obviously) Open the programs tab and click the top folder (probably My Programs) then right click and pick Copy Folder to Clipboard. then open notepad and paste, then save... now you have a text copy of your programs in case you need to refer to how something was. After you update... the credentials will be reset to admin/admin first 2 things to do when you log in are: 1) check Help > About and make sure you are in matching versions firmware and UI. v4 and v5 really don't like each other if your admin console is still in v4. 2) next head the the Programs Tab and Summary sub-tab look for YELLOW... if any program has a Yellow flag it needs manual help. Disclaimer: I don't have Z-wave and don't understand all the concepts, but you might want to find the upgrade post from the last week or so and read what the guy said.
  17. You're likely better off using a short USB extension (M->F) cord to get the antenna away from other RF interference and position it as you like.
  18. In the admin console, if you click Z-wave > Z-wave version is it 4.55.00? or 6.81.00? 4.55.00 = 300 series Z-wave board... ISY firmware v.5.0.16C is the version you would need to upgrade to 6.81.00 = 500 series... you can upgrade to the latest version 5.3.4.. If you currently have 300 series z-wave (which is likely given the age and the fact you would know if you previously upgraded) I would suggest that you upgrade to 5.0.16C and save your hardware upgrade money for Polisy. Do any of your programs use the "Adjust Scene" functionality? If so, those programs will require manual tweeking after you change firmware branches from V4 to V5.
  19. I suspect that you need to upgrade to version 5 of the ISY firmware. Don't jump right on that tho, you need to do your homework first. I suspect you have a 300 series z-wave board if you're on the V4 branch. With that hardware you can only upgrade as far as version 5.0.16C. You could upgrade the Z-wave to 500 series, but at this point you may want to stop at 5.0.16C and wait for ISY on Polisy (a different hardware upgrade) but will upgrade your z-wave to Zooz 700 series. Do you also have Insteon? How many of which type of devices? How many programs do you use?
  20. I don't have one of the Zooz switch so I can't comment on that. Someone that runs Z-wave like @asbrilmight be able to comment, it's possible the switch may load more nodes in v5 of the ISY firmware. NOTE: your firmware and UI versions don't match, they should. Start by deleting all the admin.jnlp or start.jnlp files that you have, then clear your java cache. then since you're on windows install the ISY Launcher: This will create an Icon on your desktop called ISY Launcher which if you use this going forward should run the matching version of the admin console. The Launcher was new in 2018 and designed to alleviate the problems of browsers that block java and users that keep too many copies of start.jnlp around and run the wrong one, or don't remember to update it everytime when they upgrade firmware. You may also want to increase your Java cache memory.
  21. Michel did announce the Z-wave stick would be the Zooz 700 Series.
  22. Could also be when you need to reboot your computer... I've had it happan before, something crashed and cleanup isn't happening correctly.
  23. Thanks! that is confusing! So @PB11 it boils down to whether you have iOS or Android. If you have iOS, you are using it Locative app and using Occupancy. If you have Android, you are using with UDI Mobile (which is 3rd party) and using Occupancy V2.
  24. @PB11 The reality is that you probably don't need custom voice dimming in the kitchen. Mostly likely you have multiple light configurations that you repeatedly use over and over again. For example, in my kitchen there are 5 lighting patterns: Daytime Off: all the lights are off Daytime On: Overhead on, Table light 50%, undercabinet 50%, overcabinet Off Evening Off: Overhead off, Table light off, undercabinet 1%, overcabinet 3% Evening On: Overhead On, Table light 50%, undercabinet 50%, overcabinet 80% Dinnertime: Overhead 20%, Table light 30%, undercabinet 1%, overcabinet 40% Outside of those configurations there might be something unusual, like on Christmas eve when we have a gathering there's one more configuration, but I just do it manually. (Evening begins at Sunset or "dinnertime" whichever comes first (keep in mind "sunset varies almost 5 hours, so typically "dinnertime" is first in the summer, and "sunest" occurs first in the winter. "Daytime" starts in the kitchen at "bedtime" the night before, "bedtime" is an arbitrary time that occurs everynight.) There's also a past reply, where i show how to use programs to Alexa/voice dim specific devices while keeping scenes in sync. This isn't what you want to do in your kitchen however:
  25. That may very well be true, and the power company may not know anything about it. X10 can leak from one house to another. Most X10 devices put out lower levels of PLC signals, but there are workaround/exceptions. My prior residence was a lakeside house, I also owned the 2nd tier house directly across the street. Leviton at the time produced Model: hca02-10e 2 phase x10 Coupler/Repeater which was a phase coupler and amplifier, I had one installed in my main breaker panel. It boosted the signal so well that I could use X-10 across the street and control it from my house. Both houses served by the same power company transformer. In another aspect of life I was also and X-10 consultant and ran into a few places where customers needed to install Leviton's 6284, 200 Amp Noise Blocker w/Split Or 3-Phase Coupler to keep out noise and/or neighbors X10 signals. Leviton doesn't make the product anymore but it seems there are a few available here and there as I google this morning. WARNING: Generally, this is NOT a DIY install in most cases. 6284 must be installed over the neutral conductor, meaning neutral must be taken loose from the panel--In most cases the only way to kill power is to have the meter pulled by the utility. Your case might be different depending on where your transfer switch is. You might also create programs so that you can find the exact moment these start up next spring. Something like: AAA x10test.0 - [ID 01D0][Parent 0001] If X10 'J/Status Request (10)' is Received Then Run Program 'AAA x10test.1' (Then Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') AAA x10test.1 - [ID 01D1][Parent 0001][Not Enabled] If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Disable Program 'AAA x10test.0' Resource 'ISYNotification.aaa-push test' Wait 1 hour Enable Program 'AAA x10test.0' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') It's two programs so that we can limit the notifications to 1 per hour, without doing it this way you could end up filling the ISY queues to the point it simply reboots because there are hundreds of notifications (the first program would run EVERYTIME the ISY receives the hail request, at 2 per second the notifications can't go out that fast). Knowing the exact time these things start up may help you pinpoint what's sending it, especially if it's something you yourself are switching on in the spring.
