Thank you. The issue is related to the device not responding to the secure message. It seems that exclusion was successful and therefore I must assume that the issue is range related. Can you please try the same and this time bring the lock closer to ISY?

That was the issue - got them closer and now I was able to add them without error.

Second part: how do i control them as they do not show up in the devices .....will I be able to not only fire them (open/close) but will i be able to manage the user PINs?

You will be able to manage pins in 4.1.3.

 

Are you saying that the lock is not listed in the device list to the left?

Correct - after adding via z-wave -> add, they (the two locks) are NOT listed on the left hand side

Attached a screen shot of my current console.

I didn't get an error message when I added the two z-wave locks, however they do not show up in my main console

 

Looking forward to 4.1.3 when we can manage the PINS!

Can you please:

1. Go to Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer

2. Change the level to 3

3. Exclude your lock

4. Include your lock

5. Save the contents of the event viewer and send it to support@universal-devices.com

All manufacturers - or just one or two of them? If not all, which ones will we be able to manage PINs on? (Hoping for Kwikset....)

My z-wave dongle/daughterboard is in the mail and I am researching all the details here on the forum.  Can I install the software module before installing the dongle, or does the dongle have to be installed first?

 

I also purchased a Danalock from SmartHome as my first Z-wave device and am looking forward to learning all about z-wave and ISY.

You will need both the hardware and the software module. I don't believe the order of installation matters but the module is useless without the hardware installed. Have you ordered the software module from the menu within the admin console yet?
