Yes, mid October unless there's an urgent fix which should be released before then in which case we'll put all the tested features in that release. So far, finally, things are looking much better.

Will we be able to use X10 cmds picked up to trigger things?

 

If so this means I can use my Harmony remote to control scenes again (high WAF item) and use my occupancy sensors to shut off various lights.

 

One (minor) possible feature for trigger->timers that I had and used a lot in my prior system: if you allow different trigger actions to run depending on the state of a timer you can set it up so a single press of 'on' turns on a (say) fan which will then go off after 20 minutes, but a 2nd press while the timer is running will cancel the timer (or schedule an even longer one) leaving it on. This is also great for utility areas (garage, basement storage) where usually you want the lights off after a short delay, but sometimes you're working in there and want to stick them on. In my old system I would make a nearby light (or the load) blink to indicate 'stuck on' state was entered.

 

Oh, this also allows you to simply reset the timer when 'on' is pressed to 'extend' the on time if that's all you want.

Yes, you will be able to use received X10 commands as criteria for running a trigger. You will also be able to send X10 commands out as well.

 

You can do different actions based on a variety of criteria, including the last run time of a trigger for a specified duration. For example, you could have a trigger that runs if an 'A 1 On' X10 message is received, and have another trigger that runs if the first trigger has run in the past 5 seconds and another 'A 1 On' X10 message is received.

I am looking forward to this release because I am having a hard time finding new bugs to report and need some new features to fiddle with. Just curious how much of the new stuff do you guys have working now?

Have you considered using the Insteon SwitchLinc timers? It sounds like they might be useful for you. I will be installing some soon for my closets and attic spaces. While I can't say I've used them yet, they're supposed to time off after 15 minutes with one press, add an on hour for each additional press, and stay on forever if you press and hold for several seconds. I consider the advantage to be the timer is independent of the ISY, yet the ISY can monitor what's going on. As I understand it, the ISY can turn the timer load on and off, but it will not operate the timer (ie, the fight will stay on until turned off either locally or by the ISY.

You are correct: ISY can turn on/off the load but we cannot set the timer.

Kind of quite the last few days so to break the silence I thougth I would ask, "how are things going on the new pending release?"
