Brian H Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Looks like another new module is being reordered. A plug in Timer Module. Kind of looks like a cross between a ApplianceLinc and a LCD Timer you can set to control Insteon Devices. http://www.smarthome.com/2456s3t.html Having not learning from past experiences. I have one of these also on order.

Guest Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 What possible benefit could this item bring to an ISY user? aLf Paperweight???? Just kidding. Its a neat device for non ISY users. Its the same price as an appliancelinc (for now at least). Probaly will double in price in 6 months so if anyone needs one get em while the are hot.....
Brian H Posted August 29, 2008 Author Posted August 29, 2008 Not too much; but since it can be linked as a responder and is an Appliancelinc. Someone is bound to want to use it with a ISY99.
Brian H Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 I received one today for experimenting. I was pleasantly surprised that my ISY-99i could add it to My Lighting as a responder and I did a quick test of a scene and it worked. I did not expect the program to recognize it was also a controller if other devices are linked to it. On thing I did find. All linked devices are controlled by the timers. No picking and choosing which timer did what device in the link table.
MikeB Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 I did not expect the program to recognize it was also a controller if other devices are linked to it. Brian - Force-add it as a SwitchLinc Relay.
Brian H Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 Thanks Mike B. I will give it a try.
Brian H Posted September 13, 2008 Author Posted September 13, 2008 Thanks again for the tip MikeB. Forcing it as a SwitchLinc Relay worked just fine.
