Waketech Posted October 5, 2014 Author Share Posted October 5, 2014 It should update anytime there's a change in temperature. Try blowing some hot air on the device, you should then get a update. Techman, It seems that the current state temp only updates when the device is queried on the ISY, the temp on the thermostat updates in real time. Link to comment

Otherwise, please check the number of links in your PLM: for INSTEON devices to report their status, there must be a link in the PLM and if you reach 800 or more, then you will not get any status updates. With kind regards, Michel Mike, Definitely not the wireless one, for the links please confirm I did this correct Tools > Diagnostics > Show Device Links Table > Chose the thermostat and left the check box unchecked. If you do get events, then it means that the PLM has lost its links. Have you recently changed PLMs? If so, have you already done File | Restore Modem or File | Restore Devices? Now, what need to be done: 1) Open the console, open the event viewer, set to level 3 (Device Communications) 2) Take a hair dryer and blow some warm air at the stat. See if any traffic is recorded in the event viewer from the stat. If not, back to checking link records. I believe there is a specific procedure that needs to be followed when adding a TStat to the ISY. As I recall, the stat needs to be in the "Off" mode when adding for all of the nodes to be correctly added. -Xathros Link to comment

Waketech Posted October 15, 2014 Author Share Posted October 15, 2014 Sorry for the delay, Last night I was doing some painting in the garage so at 8:44 pm I set the thermostat to turn on and warm the garage. I came back in at 9:50 pm and the main page did not update anything (temp, set point humidity) when I manually queried everything matched the local display of the TSTAT. Unfortunately I did not look at the comms log (I will do this tonight, same test). On a side note If I run a program to auto query at an interval of xxxx min that seems to work just fine (TSTAT gets updated when queried, only if there is data to update). Link to comment

I had a different issue with my 2441th unit entering "energy mode" and so I replaced it with a newer one with more recent firmware (10 vs 0D). I am no longer getting temperature change reading updates like I used to. Not sure if this is due to firmware or something else. When I query the unit, it says the right temperature. Link to comment

ISY994i/IR Pro with firmware 4.2.30 2441TH v.0B Thermostat 215 PLM links (I see two for the thermostat itself) As others were noting, when querying the thermostat, it will return the proper temperature. I'll try watching device communication later today to see if the thermostat is sending any communications when the temperature changes. Link to comment
