Support for HomeSeer HSM200 Z-Wave Multisensor with LED

Hoping that I am hitting the right section for my request/suggestion.

I would like, if at all possible submit a request for support for the Homeseer HSM200 Multisensor for your consideration.

That I know of, it will require support for the Color Command Class in addition to other Z-Wave standards.

For reference, you can find this sensor here:

http://www.amazon.com/HomeSeer-HSM200-Z-Wave-Multisensor-Indicator/dp/B00Q59PBZE/ref=sr_1_52?ie=UTF8&qid=1420065488&sr=8-52&keywords=Z-wave+motion

Thanks

Bernie

Will it support this in a basic way?  Just the motion or something like that?  I like the fact this is plugged into the wall for my motion sensing needs.

It might have been me, but I had to remove mine from my setup.  I had issues including any other Z-Wave devices reliably after incorporating this device.  When the Z-Wave plugin will be more mature and support the Color Command Class, I'll give it another shot.

I tried this too, it recognizes my aeontech multisensor now, which is brilliant, but this one comes up really weirdly in the list.  It does show some bits, the temperature part, but not the motion sensor part.

Wouldn't the temperature be kind of a write off on this unit?

Cool unit features but the temperature sensor would be tucked away against the wall usually at knee height, isolated from room air behind a cabinet,  in a box plugged into a draughty wall receptacle, coupled with a heat generating LED and circuitry. Perhaps at the end of an extension cord?

Tried to use this device and the motion sensing doesn't seem to trigger any of the sensor bits it created.  It made some weird sensor types though, it seems to think there is a break glass sensor on the unit for example.

Is all of this going to be supported in the next firmware release?  Should I try the one in beta right now?

Thanks,

David.

Bump, for HMS200 support.  I too purchased the device (forgot to check the forums ahead of time!) for its "plug into AC" design.  It doesn't seem to trigger/receive any motion sensing events.  The ON/OFF buttons briefly flicker the light which isn't a big deal as the light function wasn't why I bought the device to begin with.  I tried playing with the configuration parameters found here: http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=171561, but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Oliver,

Would you be kind enough to:

1. Exclude this device from your ISY

2. Turn on the Event Viewer and change the Level to 3

3. Include the devices

4. Save the contents of the Event Viewer in a file and attach to an email to support@universal-devices.com. Please copy and paste the link to this post in the Subject of your email.

With kind regards,

Michel

Email was sent!  I forgot to update the thread when I sent it.

It would be nice to have "basic" support for this sensor first (without all the color changing lights).  Temp and motion...rest is a bonus.

Thanks!

I'll be looking forward to give this a try myself, but seems like I should probably wait for some fixes to 4.3.3 first, but upon the next release, I'll report my findings for sure.  I agree that the colors would be, at this time just icing on the cake, but looking forward to implement some notification based on the colors at some point.

So I've been using the HSM200 as a night light for the last little while.  After updating to 5.0.4, I am unable to set it "on," i.e. turn on the LED light.  I did notice that there is a "ZW 006 Color Switch" now but am unsure how to "use" it.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I purchased 3 of these sensors and had them sort of working with 5.10 alpha. I had problems with them though. Every once in a while they would stop working and have to be unplugged and then plugged back in to get them working again. Also I had a problem with them reporting light sometimes by lumens and sometimes by percentage.

I returned these to the supplier and received word that many were being returned for similar reasons. They said an upcoming firmware update would resolve the issues with these devices.

Update: I purchased the Ezmutipli version, maybe people are having better luck with the Homeseer one..
