sanders2222 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 I've posted this problem before on this forum as well as CocoonTech.com and never got a response how to fix it. So I'm posting this in case someone else out there has/is experiencing this issue! Problem: For about a year, I have not been able to access the Elk Console through the ElkRP software. When I would try, it asked for a Username and password. When I tried my information, an error dialog box popped up (attached image). Even though I could not access the M1XEP, the ISY never had an issue with communicating with the ELK. Upon a suggestion from Michel, I contacted ElkProducts Tech Support (though their web site states they do not provide support to consumers, only installers). I called them & in less than a minute, my problem was resolved! THANK YOU MICHEL AND ELK PRODUCTS TECH SUPPORT! Solution: The Elk Tech Support guy gave me a Username and password (Supervisor) and the console opened. Then he had me go to /Setup/Operators/ and uncheck the box 'Enable multi-operator access'. Then 'Save & Exit'. Boom! PROBLEM RESOLVED! Now the software no longer asks for a password when opening.
MWareman Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Ahh, a back door username and password. Anyone else concerned about this?
