Device status missing

Hi,

I have an issue with my ISY-994i that I cannot seem to resolve.  All was well for quite some time and then after updating to the 4.3.26 firmware last night, soon after I noticed I had a flashing red ERR LED.  The SD card seemed to have issues so I put in another 8GB card and restored and it seemed to be fine again.  Except that I noticed in the browser that even though all devices and scenes were present, there was no device status; current state, on level, ramp rate and properties are all empty.  The only thing showing up is the Memberships. So after checking the 4GB card, I ended up recreating the partition and formating it.  After a couple of test passes it didn't show any errors so I can ony assume the file system was corrupted during the firmware update.  I placed it back in the ISY and did a factory reset. Then after restoring from a recent backup, again, all seems to be working fine except I still don't have any device status displaying. All my devices, scenes, programs, vars, etc are present.  I can update vas, kick off programs, etc.  Everything seems to be working as expected in those regards.  System status is good, plenty of free space and nothing showing as bad.  Firmware and UI versions are matching.  I've been searching the site but can't find a solution.

I'd appreciate any clues as to what I need to do on this.

(FYI - I tried this link to a troubleshooting flowchart - http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=5027- but it seems broken.)

Thanks

Thanks Teken.  I didn't think I needed to do that since the devices were all present and working in terms of control thru the browser admin interface.  Which I may not have stated clearly on the original post.  But anyway, I did go thru the process and restartted the admin browser to no effect, unfortunately.

I also just tried the udajax page from my phone browser and that page looks to be missing.  /WEB/udajax.htm not found, was the response.  However, I can reliably query the REST interface.

The first thing I would do is unplug the PLM and wait ten seconds. While the PLM is unplugged remove power from the ISY Series Controller.

After ten seconds has elapsed plug in the 2413S PLM into the electrical outlet. Then, plug in the ISY and wait for it to boot up and calm down.

Give it about 3-5 minutes to load up any start up programs etc.

Indicate success / failure from there . . .

NOTE: How many Insteon devices do you have in place and when you complete a PLM link count what is the value?

It's important to power up the PLM before applying power to the ISY followed by a restore modem. Missing a step or not doing it in the correct order will give results such as you found. Whatever you do, DO NOT perform a DELETE MODEM.

Teken, Stu, Michel.....thanks for the replies.

I went with Michel's recommendation to upgrade and I ran into all sorts of strange errors - invalid file size, file access denied, etc.  Hmmm.  SD Card was my first thought - maybe the corruption was a card issue and not just a fluke, even though I had run a diagnostic on it.  I pulled the card and Windows took a shot at checking for errors.  After a couple minutes, it just quietly gave up.  I'll toss that card into the holiday chex mix bowl, less problems, more fiber. So then I got my card out that I used the day before, reformatted it, upgraded to the latest 4.x, restored my latest backup and voila, device status was there along with everything else.  Finally!  Debugging during the holidays just wasn't on my list this year.

Happy holidays!  :-P
