PLM that comes with Houselinc 2 version

I am contemplating getting the free Houselinc2 upgrade. I've heard that the firmware for the PLM has been updated to accomodate HL2. Is there any advantage in using this version with ISY? Is there better Insteon2 support? Should I get the USB version or the Serial version? I'm happy with the ISY and really don't intend to use the Houselinc2 much except perhaps some features with I/O linc that may not be available with ISY yet and manipulate some devices at my rental home where I don't have an ISY but hey it's free so perhaps before the free upgrade expires.

I would think it would always be good to have the latest PLM.

I am also going to do the HL2 upgrade.

Hello,

We have had many reports that the new HL2 PLM does not work with ISY. We do not know why this is the case but we are trying to figure it out.

As such, getting a free HL2 upgrade is always a good idea but please do NOT use its PLM with ISY unless you are ready to spend hours troubleshooting communications issues.

With kind regards,

Michel

From what I have seen.

The HL2 PLM has some special device catalog in it and only works with HL2.

Hi Brian,

Thanks so very much. I just wished SH would let us know or, at the least, they would not ship wrong PLMs. We have had a 100% increase in support issues mostly because of HL2 issues.

Thanks again and with kind regards,

Michel
