Amazon down, so is Echo

Featured Replies

At this moment, Amazon's down, so is Echo. So much for the cloud. More specifically, Connected Home is down.

Uh oh! Amazon's up, but nothing is responding.

Same here. Both of my echos won't control any devices. I tried to discover devices and Alexa found none.

Something's definitely going on.. "that command doesn't work on device..." however after a minute the command executes.

We're up. Glad it wasn't me B)

It's back up now. Re-discovered all my devices and it's working again. Wish they would bring back the "OK" acknowledgement. Or at least give us the choice.

Oh I can't see the cloud ever being an issue?!?!

Think Nest TSTAT over the air (OTA) battery drain fail.

LOL . . .

This time five years from now *stupid* will be pushed so far in the self driving vehicle tech. None of you will be complaining about the cloud is down vs little Johnny just got smoked by the automated milk truck.

This is only second to every American citizen who will have their cell phones camera, microphone, GPS, activated with out your consent or knowledge!

Got to love the jack boot thugs called the FBI, NSA and the American Government for all of the above.

Back on topic: Alexa lives . . .

Welcome to unnatural disasters.

"None of you will be complaining about the cloud is down vs little Johnny just got smoked by the automated milk truck."

Automated milk truck! Hilarious!

Sad, but true

Junky

Never mind the automated milk truck, I want my transporter and replicator!

(except the part where the clouds down and my particles just scattered in the cloud)  Opps!

You know in one of the latest Star Trek movies *Bones* explains his reasons of why he doesn't like the whole transporter technology.

I can tell you with 100% certainty the day that technology is developed.

You better get ready to short that stock . . .

LMAO . . .

Now the replicator thing I could get behind if it was something none organic that wasn't consumed by humans. No freaking way something that is rearranged by sub atomic array theory is going to end well for you once its inside of you. Anyone curious how nano technology which was applied to pants to make them stain proof.

Only has to ask the poor fools that wore them and the outcome . . .

None of you will be complaining about the cloud is down vs little Johnny just got smoked by the automated milk truck. .

Drunk drone director diverts delivery disaster.

OMG!  You mean Alexa is a GMO product? It must be bad for us.

        Wait.....? !G.M.O....   O.M.G!

                                                   Signal echo?

Anybody succeed in changing their response phrase from Alexa?

"Roxanne! Turn on your love lights tonight......".

...  head in the cloud....  :)

According to the NY Times, the Echo is G.O.M. (Good Old Money)!

As long as it doesn't interfere with an Amazon drone bringing me my wine.

Can't wait to read the news article:

A $2000.00 bottle of dom perignon smashed over Grandma's head as she walked the family cat. Amazon skybot caught in cross winds and loss control.
Cat was found safe in tree - Grandma not so much and needs 52 stitches to the forehead.

Grandmother's head wounds stitched by medical drone after hacked delivery drone attacks her head!

What was her head doing in the cloud anyway?

Price of Dom Perignon predicted to increase by 300% this week.

A quote without a source is as valid as vapor. Snowden's sniffing seeking secured snooping enabled eavesdropping exposure.

And its relevance to something in the topic is?

Anyone having the problem tonight? Its a 5:22pm PST and my echo is not discovering new devices. So of course I came here to complain lol :)

  • Author

Nope. Working here. Sometimes Echo reports no devices found, but finds them anyway. Did you search for the new device/scene/program?

BTW, I usually use the device count as an indicator.

Edited by stusviews

Nope. Working here.

Hmm can you discover devices?

  • Author

I just now added a new scene. Alexa, once again, reported that no devices were found, but the count increased by 1 and the scene is in the list.

Edit: Thanks, I've been meaning to add that scene B)
