with 10% off only on some items, like the multi-pack it was looking like a decent deal, then they don't give it on the Fanlinc, and then they want sales tax so you really save nothing over other sellers.

When did they start collecting sales tax on anything but California orders?

Anyone else have a source for the multi-packs of keypads?  Or maybe have ordered too many and have a couple to part with at those great sales prices?

Try Costco.com, they have a few multi-packs and free shipping.

Most of the larger companies now charge sales tax to most all of the states.

I thin in many cases, Smarthome has partnered with Amazon for distribution and warehousing. Since Amazon are now in most States, sales tax is charged. That's my theory anyway....

Doesn't SmartHome operate in California? What State are you in that they charged you?

Irving California Gary is where they are out of.

Not finding a better deal, wonder if their will be a 20% off sale in July and if that will be any better than 10% off the discounted 5 pack pricing.

Think I will risk it!

When I use Amazon. They collect the CT. sales and use tax. They have an agreement with Amazon and also have a physical warehouse in CT.

If I use an Amazon Market Place vendor. Most times I do not have the sales and use tax collected.

I have not made any recent purchases with Smarthome. So I can't say if they now add sales and use tax to their CT. orders.

Any uncollected CT sales and use taxes are supposed to be added to our CT Income Tax forms at the end of the year.
