Venstar T1700 Randomly adjusts temperature

I have been using the Venstar T1700 in locations in my house for about 4 years.  About a year ago they would randomly change the temperature settings to extreme levels.  Example...  Cooling set to 72 degrees and after a few days two of the devices change the setting to 3 degrees with no user input.  After testing various ways I unplugged the PLM for a few weeks.  No issues after unplugging it.  Plug it back in and in a matter of days back to the old habits.  I have reviewed all programing and no issues there.  I have also updated the software.

 

Any ideas would be appriciated.

Hi, welcome to the forums! Here are some questions:


  • Can you review and/or post your ISY event log? Try to find around when it changed
  • I saw that you mentoned programs. Have you tried leaving the PLM in but disabling the programs to completely eliminate them as a potential suspect?
  • How old is your PLM? PLMs over 2 years old are suspect of being end of life and can display erratic behavior
