Edmund Lam Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 I finally got around to using the ISY-99i purchased new years ago. I have been doing fine using simple web based Insteon controller, but now have some time to map and scan my Insteon net. I can telnet into the ISY-99i and I can access it via a browser, but "Adminstrative Console" page from the web shows nothing other than "requires Java 2+" Windows 10/latest Chrome or Firefox/lastest Java (32/64). Any help would be appreciated.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Hi Edmund, Please do make sure you use our latest UI: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Admin_Console_Icon_on_Your_Desktop With kind regards, Michel
MWareman Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 You should also know that many newer Insteon devices won't work at all with 3.3.10 or earlier. For those you'll need to upgrade to the 994. Also, you may run into crypto problems, as RC4 and SSL3 won't work on Windows 10 and most Internet sites anymore. Unless you have the PRO, it wont be able to do secure crypto at all anymore.
Edmund Lam Posted December 5, 2016 Author Posted December 5, 2016 Thanks for the heads up on future incompatibilies.
elvisimprsntr Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Send UDI a note about upgrading to a 994
stusviews Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 You may run into difficulties with Chrome, Firefox is fine. Stating the "latest version" of anything is meaningless. The only accurate description is provided by giving a version number.
