ZipaTile

Hi. Does anybody know if ZipaTile can be used as a secondary controller, or would it work as primary and have ISY as secondary.

Thanks.

ISY can talk and control almost anything based on Ethernet to initiate it but I am not sure what ZipaTile can do as far as integrate with things, not native.

When I see a clock face I think "another basic timer". ISY is so much more than that with it's advanced logic capabilities.

Well, from checking their site it can integrate with a lot of things and its logic is "a little" more then basic timer.

It looks a lot like ISY on the backend.  The front end seems to be a lot more polished, but functionally I'm not sure, probably not.  Unlike ISY, it looks to have a native user interface, so no 3rd party app needed for routine daily use.  Their programs do include nested if's and "if else" which I know a lot folks here would like. I don't know what sort of customer service they have.  The cost of this can add up with all the modules.  It appears their portal subscription is a necessary ingredient and I don't know what that costs.

Although, it appears all of the info they gave is for the zipabox.  It is not clear if the zipatile is all that backend stuff built-in to a nice pretty hang on your wall GUI.  And how do you add additional functionality to that zipatile.

I like the look and interface of this but I still think a ipad mini would be better suited and more useful/powerful. Then being mobile around the house just might be a better fit.

I agree.  I would rather have a really nice Android app or Ipad app for a user interface as opposed to some proprietary piece of hardware.

Finally with Agave we seem to be on a path to that, for Android at least.  Mobile linc is descent, I hear, but not so much for Android and I'm not switching to Apple.
